Kerribell - welcome! If this cycle doesn't work for us, we're in your boat next cycle. Best of luck!

Tess- it can def still happen. I'm rooting for you!

Sunshine -I heart bluegrass. You're making me jealous...and starving.

Rosie - Giuliana and Bill kinda bug the shit out of me, but I'm rooting for 'em

Leora - you are definitely ahead in the " life shit on me" category with your c-section, so I will hereby give you the award of funniest. I forfeit :) I totally agree with you job decision. A couple more weeks wot hurt and will give you so much more security. Of course this advice is coming from a housewife, so take it for what it is.

AFM - I officially have patches of gray pubic hair. That's right, girls. This process has taken it's toll not only on my body, fucking with my metabolism and making me a fat ho, but it's now taken the pigment out of my pubic hair. Do I think it's because I'm over 30?! NO!!! It's because my body thinks I have had 3 kids by now and I have nothing to show for it. So, I get to add having a grandmother's nana to my list of complaints. Yes, I call my vag my nana.

OMG OMG OMG! i got the tiniest, weeniest faint blue line this morning. I was about to throw the test in the bin when I realised I hadn't turned the light on in the bathroom. It's very very faint but I compared to yesterday's test and it's definitely there. DH also saw it as well so I'm not imagining things.

Leora - your friend sounds really insensitive. I can't believe she told you she was pregnant when you were going through a massive trauma in your life. My preggie friend is probably overly sensitive about what she says to me and when. I work for a government dept and manage the import of cats and dogs into the country. It's not the highest level or highest paid but I have to deal with extremely emotional and often unreasonable/unrationable people on a daily basis. When folks find out they can't bring their pets into the country for whatever reason, they usually get very upset. I can understand that because I love my pets but it really wears me down when people turn nasty, and start making up all sorts of weird and wonderful tales.

We- your embies look beudiful! Stick, stick, stick, stick, stick!

Lauren319 - yay it is you. I look forward to a Leora vs Lauren funny comp. :D

LaurenN - i get pretty excited about IVF cycles. I know it's a rollercoaster but there's something about the unknown!

Sunshine 1576 - your life sounds like so much fun. I love it when there's a good neighbourly thing going on. Unfortunately our neighbours seem to stick to themselves even though I've tried to sweetsn them up with fresh eggs from my hens and veges from the garden. Still, one set of neighbours are pretty friendly. They're middle eastern (haven't figured out from where exactly yet) but they're pretty funny. It snowed for the first time in 30 yrs this winter. They were hilarious, hanging out the window, screaming and shouting. They'd never seen snow before.

Sorry not many personals today, I'm so distracted. My minds all over the place. I'm off on an Art Trail around people's houses and studios to look at their art. Should be good. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Tess69-OMG, what did I tell you. Just be a little patient and don't loose hope. I can't wait to hear how that line gets darker. You will POAS tomorrow, right???

Lauren319-I so miss you on this board. You need to visit more often. I'm glad your venting and, well thanks for sharing about your pubes. And for what its worth, im also going grey and that's not the only place where grey hairs are gowing. Sweetie, keep your chin up. I know it's much easier said than done. I am praying for you everyday. I know how much you want this and you deserve having a baby. It will happen. Have faith and don't give up.

Lauren - hmmm.... I don't think I have anything that can compete with the grey pubic hairs - so I'll give you the 'win' for today :D

Tess - well, to be fair to her, we were so happy with the boys progress at that point. She was telling me that she was so happy we would be having babies at the same time.... too bad that mine died, no? Oh well, hopefully, I'll have a baby just a few months younger than hers. (Btw, what the heck is with people finding out the sex of the baby, but not telling anyone? I understand not finding out, and I'm a big fan of finding out and telling everyone -- but this friend is not the first who is doing the "we know, but we aren't telling anyone". It's annoying....)

Congrats on seeing a second line, but beware the blue-dye tests. There are stories of men getting positives on 'blue dye' tests. Trying buying one that is 'pink dye' and trying again. I really hope this is it for you!

Maria - hurray for POAS! I always do. I also always swear that I'll wait until at least 7dp5dt.... but I never do!

Lauren319 - yes you are definitely the same gal! Crack me up, grey pubes and all. I have also put on over 10 kg throughout this IVF process. I'm a stress eater rather than the other way round though. So don't worry, I look like a ho at the mo too.

Leora - thanks for the tip on the blue dye HPTs. I used a Clear Blue test for both HPTs. I'm still freaking out about how faint the line was so won't take anything for granted. I'll do another tomorrow morning before work. I'll find out my beta results in the afternoon. I'm really quite terrified and know that if I am pregnant, i still have many more hurdles to cross, checking for Meckel-Gruber early 2nd trimester being one of them.

Neff - exciting stuff starting off a cycle. Will be keeping a good eye on your progress. You could always try progesterone pessaries and then you have, as Lauren puts it, 'Nana' jam instead of a bruised and knotted ass. I use the pessaries but find them messy.

Me again...I took Leora's advice and whizzed out to buy a pink dye HPT with the same sensitivity as the Clear Blue. It's a negative. Jeepers, what a terrible rollercoaster of a weekend. After reading Leora's advice, I looked online at peeonastick.com! The 'false positive' that was described matched mine exactly i.e. a very thin faint vertical line (not fat like they usually are) with the line sitting slightly to the left of where the cross should sit. So ladies, beware....use pink dye HPTs if at all possible, and if not and you get a result similar to mine this morning, test again!

So it's beta day tomorrow and I really am prepared for a negative now. Bummed out after what I thought was a lovely surprise this morning, but hey those are the joys of POAS. I will do another test tomorrow morning...can't help myself.

Leora -thank you so much, I would have been devastated tomorrow getting a call to say it's negative when i was expecting a positive. Wouldn't mind the other way around though. :)

Tess69-oh honey, I'm sorry. I too am glad that Leora brought up the issue of the blue dye. I agree, I would have been deviatated going in an expexting a positive but being called with a negative. Still, its not too late and I have seen it happen. So don't give up until the FAT LADY sings. I'm still holding out hope for you and will continue to pray for your BFP.

Neffi211-congrats for starting Lupron. Your really getting close now. Are you doing an FET? I couldn't remember.

Tess - I'm sorry. Maybe today you'll get your BFP. Let us know. My fingers are crossed super tight for you! Like you, I know only too well how a BFP does not mean you get a healthy baby to bring home, but it's a definite step in the right direction.

Neffi - congrats on starting Lupron. Feeling nuts yet? I've never taken Lupron, but I hear it's one of the drugs that messes with you the most. PIO are awful - and all the research shows that it isn't more effective than the vaginal suppositories. Maybe ask your RE if you can do the suppositories instead? Maybe if not for the 2ww, but after you BFP for the next few weeks?

AFM - first day of work today. Things went really well. None of the actual work is 'rocket science' (answering phones, placing calls, copies, supplies), but I have to learn this office's system (I accidentally hung up on someone instead of transferring them!). I learned something fantastic too -- next week starts the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. A lot of companies (especially ones that are world-wide) continue to work over the holiday, but this office will be closed from Oct 12 -23. That is great, because my whole family is coming in to visit (kinda bittersweet - I'm super excited to see my sister and other family members I haven't seen in a while, but this trip was planned because my boys were due now....). I'll be off of work for most of the time my family will be here. When I was hired, I was told that I wouldn't be getting a full month's salary for this month, because I've just started and it's a bit ridiculous to give me 2 weeks paid vacation in my first month. I agreed - seemed totally fair to me! But today, I met with HR and they said that they can't hire me as a monthly-salaried employee and not pay me for the holiday ---- so I'm getting my full salary, but have 10 days off of work when my family is here! This is working out great!

The people are really nice and the office is beautiful (I hate working in shitty, rundown places. This is a fancy lawyers office - even the employee bathrooms are nice!). Thank goodness *something* seems to be working out right!

I called my insurance and my clinic to tell them we are pushing off by a month. No problems, I'll just continue my birth control pills.

WeHaveHope - Does the vallium really work that good? I have never had it before. Your babies are already cute. :) What are your bedrest instructions? What do you plan to do?

fvrogers - happy happy joy joy!!! What was your protocol for you 2ww? How many days did you stay off or your feet? How hard core did you get? Only going to the bathroom or doing light duties. I have my transfer today and my husband leaves tomorrow so I will be alone. Yes, take it one day at a time.

LauraN - Soon you will be going through the process! Sounded like a fun concert.

Tess69 dont loose hope, you never know. I remember my last bfp was 3 days after my 2ww go figure. I had given up.

AFM we do the transfer today. Sticky vibes.

Kamina-I'll be praying for you today. I can't wait to hear how everything went. You should post your embie pics as well. I would love to see them. Yes, the Vallium works quite well. It is really given in order to relax to uterus muscles so they don't contract during or after the transfer. The side effect is it makes you a little sleepy afterwards which is all the better. My RE always recommends to rest the day of transfer and take it easy a few days after. No bedrest is necessarily recommended. This time I'm taking it easy the weekend plus Monday. Wishing you all the best today. Sending you sticky vibes.

Tess - I am so sorry to hear the pink dye test was negative. You are in my thoughts. Sending you lots of hugs.

Leora - That is so awesome about Sukkot and getting paid! Also, it is so nice to have a physically nice work environment that you enjoy…definitely boosts morale.

Neffi - Sending you lots of good vibes for this round! That's exciting that you are getting started.

I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday!
