so on a good note 2 of my embrys got frozen! They thought I may only have one since I did not get too many quality eggs. So I can get prego again if I need to! (hopefully not for a few years lol).

On a funny note: I think I am going crazy. I keep on forgetting things...like every day things! I ask my husband where the car keys are even though he just handed them to me. I forget papers that I have to bring to work and school even though I put them on top of my purse of tote. Ask me something we talked about 2 days ago and I can not remember. So I really think these meds are making me so forgetful or I am just having a lot of blond moments lately haha.

Good luck to all ER girls!! As for the bloating before hand it can just be the fact that your ovaries are so huge and you have a lot of eggs hanging around. Drink water!!!

I am about to start the PIO shots ...I am scared to death. My nurse told me to lay on my stomach on the bed and turn my feet in ...like I am pigeon toed and this will make sure that I cant tense up the butt muscles and then she told my DH to rub it well to spread the oil out. I told her some of the ways you all said ...and she looked at me like I was crazy. LOL

Rinnie: which side of the house is considered the right?? LOL If it is as if you are outside looking at your front door then...cool...I have hundreds of pics posted on that side of the house in the back office of my nieces and nephews and friends kids. LOL

I was wrong about my PIO needles. I am to take the 22 gage off and use the 27 to draw up the PIO and then put the 22 gage back on to administer it. She told me it has to be 1 1/2" long in order to get into the muscle...correctly. If she is letting you use a 25 gage...then lucky you...cause it is smaller than the 22 gage.

Awww... my DH made me a "Rio Smoothie" earlier. Now he is making steak with onions, fried potatoes, and squash. I think I like this bedrest stuff. LOL

Ok Tammy, now you are just being spoiled (I am sooo jealous!!). Yep, we girls are crazy!! The only thing the numbing cream can help with is the initial pinch like insertion of the needle. But it can't take away the pain from the actual shot.. glad you are not using the 22g. After reading your post again, iw as gonna tell you to make sure and check to see if that is the one you are drawing it up in.

Mia: I am drawing up the PIO with the 27 (the smaller one) and then putting the bigger one on for doing the shot. That is how she told me I have to do it. I thought I got to use the small one to administer....but nope.

Wow – you girls have been busy!
Kbear – 2WW is very crazy, your body has all these different symptoms and you keep trying to read them, it could be the meds or we could be pregnant, it is crazy! I have happy moments and sometimes I just want to cry also. I am also getting mild cramps. Remember PUPO!
RIN, LOOPIE and amy27 – Good luck tomorrow for ER, keep us posted on how it went, I hope it goes easy and lots of mature eggs!
Weezie – great follies! Will DH be there? When is you ER date now, Tuesday? Yes, I was very uncomfortable before ER and after ER with bloating. Good luck with it!
21Bat – great follies! Ice the area before, I didn’t have a problem with my trigger shot, hopefully it will go smooth for you.
Suga – I hope you feel better, I am really bloated too. I think it is too early to POAS… My RE is testing me 10 days after ET but not telling me! Until Saturday’s test, so mean! For the PIO shots, try putting a heating pad on medium for about 10 min over the spot, it has helped me with the day after soreness.
Tammy – Are you feeling better? Awesome number of embiebabies, keep us posted on how may you transferred back! Good luck! Go embies! How was the smoothie? Try the needle? Your Dh is a sweetie! Let him spoil you!
Marin – I am very excited – you are one step closer to your BFP!!! I think more can pop up, the trick is getting them all to mature at more or less the same time.
Rinnie- I use 25, I think that is the smallest needle you can go with IM shot.
Loopie- you are one tough girl using the 22 needle! Got my fingers crossed for you!
Mia – awesome follies, looks like you are going to have a good number of eggs! Welcome to the bloated sisterhood!

Well, I broke down and went to Target today with DH to find some loose fitting dresses, I just can't stand the waist of any of my pants or skirts right now, I am so bloated . So we found some dresses on sale, they were maternity (the only loose around the waist I could find), I felt weird buying them since I am not sure of a BFP but I really needed something comfy for work, I hope I didn't jinx it! I am getting some dizzy spells, realy tired and mild cramps, hard to tell if it is the meds or the little embies getting cozy. DH and I talk to them DH has been amazing and is totally spoiling me . The wait is killing me and I am so tempted to POAS even though it is too early. My RE does a test on 10 days but won't tell me, than again at 12 days and that's when he tells me...
If you girls have time, can you post on the JAN/FEB Buddies LIST post, your estimated test date? I am losing track of all the dates or add it to your signature. Thanks I as also thinking of adding the number of embies transferred, what do you think?

RIO: Adding the number transferred is cool. I did do the PIO and it didnt hurt going in...but it did burn when the meds went in. Seems okay so far. I did ice it for about 2 minutes first...after all. The smoothie was great, Thank you! I had to buy some clothes a little bit bigger too. LOL

Well I have gained 3lbs since I started stimming! I don't feel like I have - I mean I am not as bloated as some of you buying new clothes (yet). So not sure where the weight is going... I did my last stim shot tonight! Good thing too cuz I am all out of gonal and didnt want to buy a whole other pen.

Rio: I am so glad Dh is spoiling you! Good for him. My dh is not that good of taking care of me when I am sick, but he tries I don;t think you jinxed anything, but I am sure it helps you maintain PMA!!

I will need that recipe posted again if you have it.. Not sure what page it was on. I wonder if I can freeze fresh pineapple myself and use that??? What do you think??

Hi Mia - DH here, with the smoothie recipe: 5 large frozen whole strawberries (avail at TJ's or Costco), a handful of frozen pineapple (Trader Joe's is the best), a handful of frozen organic blueberries(TJ's) and a fresh banana, then fill blender with orange juice to cover fruit, and blend on high speed until thick but drinkable. Add more OJ if necessary. Makes two med/large drinks.

Isn't he sweet! We don't add ice or anything else and it is plenty sweet from the OJ. Trader Joes has amazing pineapple frozen.

okay so I just did it. I could not wait lol. I took a home test. It is 12 days after my trigger shot so the meds should be out of the body if not very tiny amount to where they would not show up on a test right? Well, I got a positive. No hopes up though just because of the HCG may be there. So I think I may take another one on Tuesday...I just could not take it anymore! So could I take this as a sign?? Since my HCG is out of the body by now?

Oh Suga! You are tempting me to do it too! I am sorry that I have no idea if the Hcg would be ot of your body yet, but I am praying that the BFP continues!!!

I found this online:
hCG can remain in the body for 2-3 weeks time depending upon the individual. That is the reason why an increase in hCG is monitored to determine pregnancy. Low levels of it can remain over a couple of weeks post injection. I would not look for ovulation to trigger 2-3 weeks after the injection, but for a few days maybe even a week after, anything is possible. The hCG numbers/percentages will not rise unless there is a pregnancy though. If it's the same or decreasing, it's present but working it's way out of the system.

Now it makes sense on why my RE won't call me after my first blood test only after the second one...

but also found this: Every woman's metabolism is different, but as a general rule of thumb, you should allow 1 day for every 1,000 units of hCG you injected. The standard hCG dose is 10,000 units; thus, 10 days after the shot, the synthetic hCG should be gone and you should be able to test for pregnancy without detecting the shot. However, you should ask your doctor what the recommended protocol for your dosage is.
