Good Morning ladies:

Well I have my last appt this morning before triggering tonight and ER Monday. I am so nervous about only having 3 but RE said that we have a good chance. I am doing PGD so we shall see. He said that PGD is not going to hurt the chances of implantation. I was almost going to forgo PGD and implant on day 3, but if they are not normal day 3 or day 5 would both end the same way.

Val, I know you have 5 eggs in those follies. I am with you in spirit as we go through this jouney.

I ll keep you posted this afternon.

Good morning ladies!!

Much Hope~ I know the feeling of only having 3 follies to work with, that's what I had the first cycle! I was worried too but when both of them fertilized, I felt great and really believed I would be pregnant! I did but had a chemical. So, just like me, keep your PMA going as much as possible.
Congrats on triggering tonight and enjoy your injection free day! :D I sure am enjoying it!

JJJake~ Thank you! I'm thinking about you too and hope for great follies for you!

I'm going back to AP today and I think that will help me...she told me also not to worry and that she'll help me keep that lining in tip-top shape!

Kas, Muggsey, Chris and Turtles~ Thinking about you on your transfer day!! You are all getting knocked up....not the fun way but heh...what can we do! :D

JDC~ Thank you sweetie!! See, I'm in the same situation as you..5 follies! I hope you're doing really well! How are you feeling? When is your US? You must be so excited! And I'm sooo happy for you!

Where are all our PUPO girls? I would love to hear from all of you! Hope you're feeling good and prego!

Super sticky baby dust to all of you!

Love,

Sorry at work and had to go....Anyhoo good news and other news for me.
My doc says I'm in a delicate situation. My E2 levels are high and they will not do the retrieval if they go over 3,000. So they lowered my dosage (as I said yesterday) to 100IU of follistim. Well I have alot of follies but they have to wait for 2follies to reach 18mm. OK.....now most of my follies are around 12-16mm. So they placed me on the garnilex (oops mis-spelling) as per protocol but also in hopes to slow me down and bring my E2 levels down.....and......bring my follistim up to at least 150IU to allow my follicle to con't to grow to 18mm. So if it works they may take me as early as : trigger on Sun and ER Mon instead of Tues. So I'm now dealing with a doubled edged sword......and I hope I get the right edge :(

JJake - I am sorry you are having additional stress of things not going as planned. I will be praying things work out for you.

val-
I am glad AP relaxes you. It doesn't do anything for me. I went to my last appt. today. My husband took me and was funny watching him while they were putting the needles in. Good luck with your ER, hope you have 5 fighters in there.

Much Hope- Glad you get to trigger. Keep your PMA for your 3 follies. I hope everything works out for you.

Kas, Muggsey, and Chris
- How did your transfers go? Hope things went great.

As for me just got back from transfer and everything went smoothly. They transferred two little embies. One they kept saying was beautiful.:) It was an 8 cell grade 4+. The other they did assisted hatching to get rid of some of the fragments. It was a 6 cell grade 3, though he said it now looked like a 4 but they can't upgrade them. Here are some pics of my little guys. Image

Someone else was talking about assisted hatching. My embryologist was nice enough to show me a before and after picture of the embie they worked on. The top one was with fragmenting and the bottom one after they cleaned it up.
Image

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We are going to get a lot of rain today from Fay. :(

Toobee~ Thank you sooo much for your kind words... :D
Sounds like you're in great spirits and I'm so glad OHSS is going away already! That's a relief.

Turtles~ Even the embies look like the shell of a turtle :D . Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us...I always love to see them and it was wonderful to see the before and after pictures ! Congrats on being PUPO and now it's time to take it easy today!

JJJake~ Sorry you're having such a dilemma to deal with. I felt in limbo too and it's not a pleasant feeling. What are your E2 numbers right now and how many follies do you have?
I hope you get the right edge of the sword too...You'll be in my thoughts for sure! I'm sure you're going back again tomorrow!
Hang in there and talk to your eggs...that's what I did, gave them a pep talk!! :D

That trigger did more than make me ovulate...it has me very emotional and feeling like having major PMS. I cry for no reason and get mad at nothing....don't I just love that. I came home and DH made me laugh so much but then I'd start crying while laughing too. It's crazy! And I don't feel down at all. I'm having some friends over tonight, it will keep my mind on something else.

Have a good Saturday and thinking about all of you!

Love

This thread is definitely moving fast! Hard for me as a newbie to keep up :)

Hope all the ET's of today went smooth! Take it easy now and try to relax for the 2WW. After all my IUI's I hated the 2WW, it's just so filled with anxiety and impatience. We really gotta work hard at trying to let it go

turtles - Great to hear about your smooth ET. Nice looking embies! :) You said you'll be on bed rest for three days. Why is that? Does everyone have to be on bed rest after ET? Or is there a specific reason? I know what you mean about AP. I went a couple of times. I didn't really feel for it. Everybody says it's a great thing, and maybe so, but it was actually unpleasant for me, not at all relaxing. I keep thinking that I should do it, if it ups my chances, but the thought of going back is actually causing me stress. And AP is supposed to heal your stress! Ironic, eh? ;)

toobee - Thanks for the long post answering all my questions! So I guess some people do Lupron and some people do Ganarelix. Same purpose, really. My protocol is ganarelix. You said that it's not good to have something with diuretic effects during stimming. Why? I drink a lot of water usually (about 3 liters per day). Is that not good??
I really hope you feel better with OHSS! Unfortunately, the more eggs we grow the more likely the OHSS. A price we have to pay :(. But you got 9 fertilized !! That is simply fantastic!! :)

shellbell - congrats on being PUPO! :)

JJJAKE - I hope things get stabilized. Keep the PMA! If you don't mind me asking, what do you do? You said you'll be taking 4 months off. Is your work very physical?

horsegrl - 9 follies! Awesome!

Val - I bet ALL your 5 follies are GOLD medalists!! You took you time and you grew some serious fighters, no doubt! I don't know you and I've been here only a couple of days, but I skimmed through some previous posts. And you are such a source of support to everybody! I am sure that everyone is keeping all the toes and fingers crossed and re-crossed for ya! (especially the PUPO girls as they're lounging around and really don't need their fingers and toes much right now ;) )

Questions:

Val - you mentioned "endometrium receptivity window" What's that?

I was wondering about relief from bloating and discomfort after ER. Is there any? My last try was an aggressive IUI where I had grown 6 eggs. But in difference from IVF, nobody took them out and they all stayed in for the 2WW and AFTERWARDS. They just turned into cysts. I was MISERABLE with the bloat and the pain and discomfort for three weeks after ovulation. I couldn't even walk without pain :(
Since the idea of IVF to grow as many eggs as possible and they ARE taken out of us, I was hoping some of the bloat and discomfort goes away.

On Exercise - I'm a computer programmer by day, but a fitness instructor by night. I know I can't teach my regular classes during this time. But I was kind of hoping I don't have to do nothing. What about yoga? There's such a thing as fertility yoga. Anybody tried it? I'm hoping a little exercise could be beneficial, no?

Afternoon ladies :D

Val Congrats on your 5 fab follies - will be thinking of you and hoping they are all beautiful eggs !!!!!

As for me i had ET today so i am officcially PUPO!!!! Beta will be Sept 5.
I was given 10mg valium to take half an hourr before transfer (took it in the car on the way over) By the time i got out of the car i was a true space cadet!! Never taken anything like that before and it hit me like a ton of bricks!!!!. I went to get out of the car, lost my balance and hurt my hand, and the nurse had to help me undress!!!!. DH found it v. funny....

SO the RE recommended only putting 2 embies back in as 2 looked good and one was not so good. I made him put in all 3 as i'd rather have that extra chance, no matter how small. I have my pic of my embies but no scanner or anyway of uploading this but 2 looked good and the other one was nore of an oblong shape!!! The RE said it was 'running away' and dividing too quickly. I would have thought that was a good thing!!! Anyway all 3 are in right now so we will see in 2 weeks !!!!

Going to rest up now - congrats to all the other ET ladies today X X X

Val - Congrats on triggering!!! Remember, I only had three eggs. Quantity isnt as important as quality. Praying for you!

turtles - I am so glad your transfer went well! Thanks for sharing you embies with us. I will try to get mine on tomorrow. Rest all you can. I only have to stay on bed rest for 24 hours but then light duty on Sunday. But I am doing two days of bed rest. Praying for you girlie!

toobee - hoping you are feeling better. Glad the AP is going great. Hopefully you will be back to yourself in no time.

Hi Everyone,

This board is going crazy this weekend. I can't keep up.

Val and JJake - Good luck with ER. Hope your eggs are all good and want to fertilize.

Congrats to Kas, Shell, Turtles and Muggsey on your transfer. Praying that your embies snuggle in tight.

I am really tired and kind of out of it right now. I did ER this morning. We transferred 3 embies, 6 cell :D , 4 cell :D and 3 cell :D . My RE doesn't grade them. I really didn't care on how they looked, I just wanted to have all 3 still growing so I could give them all a shot to thrive inside of me. So I am officially PUPO. I went to my family reunion today, I guess that is why I am so tired. It was pretty hot out. My RE said it was fine for me to go but don't stand too long and drink a lot of water. So that is what I did.
I will try and update the schedule later on, there is so much that needs to be changed. Right now I have to figure out this stupid program for the Java class that I just started taking. This was the first week of class and needless to say it has been really hard to concentrate on what I should be doing. I have a program and test due tomorrow and I haven't even begun to study. So off I am.

Hi Girls

TI haven't been on much the last two days and had a lot to catch up on.

Muggsey - I hope that your embie is growing strong and dividing properly. That is the most stressful part for me too since my embryos have not divided properly. I hope the ET went well.

Toobee- 9 fertilized eggs is awesome. I wish you luck on your ET. before you know it you will get your BFP.

Valarie- Congrats on triggering and ER tomorrow! That is so exciting. I hope that you have a lot of strong mature eggs and the all fertilize.

Truebeliever - I'm sorry you have OHSS. I had that during my first IVF cycle. I hope that the pain is relieved soon.

Horsegrl - Congrats on the good u/s. Grow follies grow

JJAKE congrats on triggering and good luck with your ER.

ailmpyni - Congrats on your rising beta. I think it's ok if it doesnt quite double. Your number sounds good to me.

As for me I had my ER this morning. They were behind schedule so we arrived at 9:15 but didn't have it until 11 ish. I had 20 eggs. The doctor has happy about this. The first two times I had 25 and 28 eggs. He wanted to reduce my E2 levels this time and lower the number of eggs. He feels this will aid in getting better quality. He also said that he has no proof yet that there is a infertility issue and just not a problem with how i respond the the infertility meds. It could also be too little growth hormone in my body, I took a medicine for that this time. Since we have never tried naturally we don't know for sure. I will get my fertilization report tomorrow. I am optomistic about it since it has been high in the past. My PGD is scheduled for Wed and my ET is on Thurs. Although I have a lot of eggs, due to my genetic condition about half of them cant be used. I won't know this until I go in on Thurs. I am just taking it one day at a time and going to keep my PMA until I found out otherwise.

I hope everyone stimming gets a lot of strong eggies, that everyone in the 2ww can keep their PMA.

Hugs and baby dust to all.

Good Evening ladies:

It sure seems we are all moving along.

Val Good luck. I will be sure to have you in my prayers tomorrow morning at church as well as everyone else.

Go team August :)

I went for another US and BW today. My RE has me stimming one more night and then another dose tomorrow morning and then triggering at some time tomorrow for a Tuesday afternoon ER.

Please be sure to keep us posted on your progress. I know reading about everyone and there milestones helps me on a daily basis stay positive.

I thnk my ET if it happens will be Sat if they fertalize and PGD report comes back healthy.

I feel bad, DH booked a flight to Fla for a long weekend thinking we would have already had the ET for our Anniversary. Oh well our babies come first!!!

Have a wonderful Sunday and Much Baby dust
