Morning Ladies,

Debra, how was your scan? Hope it went well :) I don't have alot of time girls, sorry for such a brief msg. I'm even going to cheat and cut and paste from another thread I just wrote in. Here it goes:

Well I'm back, and i'm still in shock. I phoned the nurse again yesterday and talked to her and she said they don't I'm responding and it was my estrogen level that should be between 400-3000 at this stage. So basically with a level of 70 I would have nothing happening.

Then my ultra sound this morning. The nurse is looking at my rt ov and says, "OH" i'm surprised, i'm like WHAT??? and she says, well I don't know? They could be cysts, or follicles, I had 2 one measured 25x25 and the other was 20x17. Then she goes to my right side and says, "well you've certainly baffled me, this isn't what I was expecting at all"

I had 7 follicles on the lft side! They're small, only 10 but they are there! and so they don't want to stop tmt. They've got me going for another week. They want to try and concentrate on the lft side and they want to see if they can make them grow. I have another ultrasound next wed to see. I'm a bit nervous, a bit excited and a bit, I'm not sure  Part of me doesn't want to get to excited because in the back of my mind they're just experimenting with me right now to see what to do for the next time. Part of me thinks this is a miracle..... Either way, it's all very confusing, you know?

I have to go to work, but will come back tonight to post. Hope your all having a great day. Talk soon

Hello all,
Well, I've gone back to work now so haven't got so much time to be on here but thought I'd pop in now to catch up with you all.

Sounds like things are more or less ok for most of you. Hang onin there with the needles for those of you having difficulty. When you get that BFP you'll instantly forget how difficult they were.

Things still seem to be fine with me. Still can't really beleive I'm pregnant and now can't wait until the first scan (8th Sept). I must admit that I am a little anxous about everything being ok so that will help to put my mind at rest. I guess that's normal though. Have now got sore boobs but no other symptoms. Have felt a bit queezy some evenings but nothing significant. Sounds silly but morning sickness would help me to believe that things are going ok.

Well, best go now - am supposed to be working from home and need to get cracking.

Have a good weekend all. We're going away for a few days now so probably won't get a chance to drop in here for a while.

Take carea all

Love
Debbie

Debbie, I'm glad all is going well, enjoy the few days away. There's plenty of time for queasiness later! Good luck with your scan.

Paula, way to go! So your blood test says one thing but your body something else? they're large follies too. Good luck getting them all upto a good size.

My scan went well. A quick measure (9.8mm), all fine and out we went. I can start downregging on Sunday and then back on 9/9 for a blood test.

Hope everyone else is doing well and feeling positive.
hugs
Debra.

Debra,

Glad to hear you've got the ok to start downregging. Just remind me Debra, at your last FET how many frosties did you have and did they all survive the defrosting process? If they survive this stage do they have the same chances as a fresh cycle re implantation?

Paula, that's really encouraging news - fantastic - the two on the left, is it? They are a nice size already and the others have a good week to come along too. At 10mm already you could end up with some very nice sized follicles indeed. Will be eagerly awaiting your next scan now to see how they've come along. Fingers crossed.

Hi Sharon, sadly (look at my signature list) my last FET was cancelled on the day because neither embie survived defrosting. It was real shock as we'd done it twice before and always had 100% survival and even had a +ve from one of the 2 rounds.

As I understand it, the risk is mostly with surviving defrosting but I guess the odds from there on must also slightly reduced as clinics show lower +ve rates from them and separate from the fresh.

Have you started downregging? was it today? are you on Synarel/Synarela?

Hi Debra,

I don't know why I thought your last treatment was a FET - but I can see now looking at your signature list. I know we have to be realistic but we have nothing to lose at this point as this will be our last and this sort of completes the IVF cycle from April this year but I still remain optimistic and hopeful that our time may come. I started downregging on Tuesday. Should have a period any day now and then go for a scan on 14 Sept to check uterine lining shrunk back to start the HRT medication. We are then looking around 3 Oct or thereabouts for transfer (all being well with defrost process).

Morning ladies,

Jane, how are you feeling? Try not to do to much excercise. A little is ok but to much strenuous excercise isn't good. I heard the nurse telling another lady this yesterday. About stressing, well it's only natural given the circumstances but now that your aware of it you have to try and change it around. Just think positive! This might sound crazy but try to hold your belly and give yourself positive afirmations. If you tell your mind you can't get pregnant then that's exactly what will happen. If you tell yourself you will be getting pregnant, your ready, your healthy, your deserving, your amazing and you can do it, ect, etc, something will change and i'm sure for the better. It's amazing what you can do with your mind. Tell your body your fsh is coming down! Feel it coming down. It's very hard to do because we are conditioned a certain way. I'm only learning how to do it myself. I'm not always successful, but day by day i'll get there. You will to!

Katie, how are you feeling? How's your holiday going? Hope your having a nice time and getting a chance to relax ;)

Debbie, how are you doing? Is it sinking in yet? You must be on cloud nine! I'm so so happy for you :) Hope your having a great few days away.

Sharon, how are you feeling? I forgot to tell you that when I first went to Edmonton I stayed in Sherwood Park for the first month. Also, in 1998 I was in England for 6 months and travelled all over the place. I went to Wales alot, and absolutely loved it! So many neat names over there. My mom's side of my family is from Wales. My grandmother came from Llandudno. I went there on a couple of occassions, also went to Snowdonia, Betsi Coed, ummm? So hard to remember everywhere but it's absolutely beautiful there :) Also, thanks for your positive thoughts, I really appreciate it. The 2 on the right side are the big ones, but they aren't sure what they are, could be cysts they said. So they're going to concentrate on the 7 on the left.

Debra, thanks for your encouragement as well :) It's strange about the blood test isn't it? I still don't know what to think except i'm one step closer in whateve way it turns out. I'm happy your scan went well to!! How you feeling? Getting closer!! I'm on synarel as well. Does it make you plugged up and give you a runny nose? It does to me, drives me crazy. I'm wondering if it's normal or if i'm a bit allergic to it? I always forget to ask some of these things when I go in to the clinic.

Anyways, I think I've babbled on here long enough. Hope I didn't miss anyone. You guys are all so wonderful. Thank you all for being here, for all your encouragement and msg's. Hope your all having a great weekend. THink happy thoughts.

Paula, How wonderful they found all those follicles!!! This is a good sign! They can grow very fast, so being a 10 certainly doesn't mean staying a 10. Best of luck to you!

Debbie, I'm still so excited for you! Please keep telling us how it feels to be pregnant, even if you don't really have any symptoms. :D

Debra, good news with your scan! Looks like you are all set now, with dates and everything! Woo hoo!

Sharon, lots of women have great results with FET. So chin up! I'm sure we will be using that method at some point, so I'll be watching you closely and praying for your success!

Lisa, congratulations on that strong heartbeat!!!! And thanks for not forgetting us on this side of the board.

Jane, how are you today?

Katie, how are you today?

BigJ, how are you today?

Please forgive if I missed someone. I just wanted to say hello to all our over-40-crowd. We have to stick together.

Hi all, just thought I'd say hello as I haven't been around for a bit (well I've been reading but not posting, you know how it is). I have my first appt in Barcelona on Thursday! I remember saying to Debra in June that the time would probably go quickly and it has. So wish me luck and I'll let you know what they say.
Lots of love, Kat xx

Lots of Good luck to you Kat :D

Thanks for the luck Randa, i'm a little nervous for tomorrow for my scan. Hopefully they've grown. The nurse also told me the other day that even if I have follicles it doesn't mean there are eggs. That's what they're thinking. I could have follicles but no eggs and so that's the reason for the low estrogen. The eggs are what make the estrogen rise. I'm on pins and needles. Why does tomorrow seem so far away? How are you feeling? I asked in another thread, but I guess you started your lupron hey?

How's everyone else today? I feel like a bag of S*$# to be perfectly honest with you but i'm trying to keep up the PMA :D

Hope your all doing well and feeling great.

Paula, how did your scan go? I'll look on the August buddies thread too for an update. It is an extra source of worry, knowing there are follies but if there are eggs or not isn't known until EC. You can only assume positive, visualise eggs in each follie and given you've a lot of follies already, there are likely to be some eggs in there. Hope she doesnt' mind me using her as an example, but look at Debbie, she 'only' had 2 embies to start with but is over on the Pg side grinning like a Cheshire cat!

Randa, posted elsewhere great news. I'm secretly very envious, anything to make the process shorter can only be a good thing.

Hi everyone.....how are you?
I'm on Day 3 of downregging and have already noticed my temper shortening but then again, AF is due end of the week and that never helps.....

Hi Ladies,

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Paula i am doing what you suggested and telling myself I can get pregnant and my fsh will come down and it is halping me I haven't cried now for three days and am generally feeling better in myself. I am not doing too much exercise just swimming walking and decorating, thats what i was doing all weekend so didn't get chance to look on the boards, although not doing so probably helped my head a little as well.

Paula great news on the follies keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

Love,

Jane
