Hayley, Welcome on board the twin train. Bet you are both excited and nervous as we all were when we first found out.

36 weeks and still going strong. My two boys are doing great at apparently 6lbs each (as per growth sonogram).
I hope that they don't get much bigger. Both babies are head down too so I am just waiting for labour to start now.

Been told today that my blood platelets are very low. They've told me not to worry but of course I will. I just hope the boys come out before the levels drop any further.

Kimberly, Bet you're having loads of fun with your new babies. Don't forget to get hubby to post some pics on photobucket.

Hope everyone else is well. I see all you twin mommies are doing great. Babies are thriving and looking so cute and gorgeous. Can't wait until I get to post pics of my little men.

Love Lisa XXX

Hello all

Welcome Hayley and congratulations on your twin news. As Lauralou said a lot of work but great joy :D

Macca8 - you are really getting very close and well done on going so far - will not be long until you have your babies to cuddle. I look forward to seeing your pic's.

We are doing really well. Harry has finally settled down and is now a smiley bear :D Both my babies are smiley a lot and are now very interested in their environment - they love their play gym which is where they are now while I type this post! Fed bathed and now playing. It seems that I have two pairs of eyes watching me a lot of the time - so cute! I will put some more pic's up so you can see just how much they have grown.

The babies are now in childcare one day per week and hopefully one more day per week before Nov so I can go back to my studies. I had to drop all subjects this term as Harry was so fussy and I was so busy with the babies - there really was no time to study. I guess I really did not measure just how busy I was going to be. Anyway, next semester is looking do-able so I am happy to go back.

Seems like everyone else is enjoying their babies and that all babies are doing well. I do read all the time even if I do not get much time to post. I hope this thread gives hope and inspiration to others going down the same path we did. You can do it!

Hoping to see some pic's Kholtan when you can :D

Cheers Di

I am a nurse, so I decided to go back to work one shift a week. I can work a Friday or Saturday night, so DH can watch the boys. But I have to do a 2 week orientation during the day. I found a place where I can leave the boys, at the insane price of $400 a week!

Well I took them on Monday for a "trial run" to see how it went. Everything seem to go fine until I took them to doctor today for their 4 month shots. Jeremy was running a temperature, so he couldn't get his vaccines. In 4 months, they have never once been sick, no runny noses, earaches or fevers. They spend 1 day in daycare and Jeremy is sick!

Now I am worried about leaving them in daycare for 2 weeks. I know other people do it and for longer than 2 weeks, but I hate for them to get sick. I can make very good money working a weekend night shift, and we could really use the money, so I need to do this. It just breaks my heart to see my little one sick.

Thanks for listening to my vent!

Hi all

I have added 3 pic's of my babies to photobucket.com

Laurlou - I hope Jeremy is better soon - I was also worried about my babies going to childcare but so far so good. At least at this young age there is no seperation anxiety so if you have to go back to work or study and need childcare it is probably better to do it earlier rather than after 6 or 7 months. I don't think I could handle the crying & stress of the babies -it would make me feel so guilty.

I saw Kim's and Em's babies on photobucket very cute as are all the babies :D Lauralou - I think I can wait before we start to give them solids. Was going to try around 5 months or so. Harry is over 14 lbs so I don't think he needs the extra at this stage!

Di--they are too cute! good luck with daycare...mine seem to be fine for the two days they go...I think you're right that earlier is better.

Laura, I'm sorry to hear that Jeremy's sick. Poor guy. Mine got a cold this summer, and I felt horrible for them. Here's my advice: Don't try to keep one baby away from the sick baby, because it's inevitable that they'll both end up sick. I tried to keep Braeden away from ellie's germs, and he ended up getting sick anyway, but a week later. So, really, it stretched out our sick time even longer. So, next time, I'm going to spread the germs early, so we can get it over with! :? Good luck with daycare. I'm sure it'll get better. Plus, I think you'll probably enjoy getting to "get away" to work a couple of days a week. Isn't that funny, that work is kindof a vacation? That just goes to show how much work twins are. (But fun too!!!!)

Today Nicholas is sick too! Though Kim I think you are right that's better to have both sick at the same time, would hate for this to drag on for weeks! I know that I can't expect them never to be ill. I am just being a paranoid 1st time mother.

Have you seen the news story about a couple in Australia who are suing their fertility doctor because they had twins. They are complaining that it costs too much to have twins and that she had lots of morning sickness.

That just makes me sick! They should be so grateful to have a child and what a blessing to have two. I am the first to admit that having twins is a lot of work, but I thank God for them everyday. How could you look at your two beautiful babies and wish that one of them was never born.

Can you imagine how those kids will feel someday when they find out that their parents didn't want them both. Those are two people who never should have had children. Okay, done with my rant for the day!

Laura, I haven't heard that story...how sick! Yes, twins are hard, but they are such a blessing! Those people need to get their priorities straight.

sorry to hear you have 2 sick babies now. I'm sure we'll all experience that joy sooner or later....I hope they get better soon!

Hi all

Lauralou - sorry to hear that Nickolas is sick too. Better to get it sooner than later and get it over with!

My two had a cold a few weeks ago - Bronte had a slight temp and runny eyes for a day then Harry got it - no temp but runny eys and really miserable for two days! DH and I had it too :( I thought staying home with the twins would protect them from germs but my DH got it at work and brought it home!

NEWS FLASH - my two slept from 10pm last night to 5.30am this morning - had to wake Harry for his feed! Then straight back to bed for more sleep which is where they are now. I hope this keeps up I would like to see the end of night feeds stop :D

Hello to everyone else - thinking of you Macca8 as your time must be soon.

Cheers Di
