Bec P - 4 is still a great number and when all works this time you won't have to be concerned with next time :-)

Charity I hope you are doing okay! I can't imagin how badly you must be feeling.

jenn-hey test buddy!! Yep, now that ET is done I am excited but nervous too. Trying to prepare myself for BFN . . . don't want to get my hopes up too high. Plus I am WAY overthinking everything. I feel kind of crampy myself and just kind of overall sore down below. I am hoping it is not because of something I have done wrong, or a problem with the ET procedure, or AF coming way early. Who knows? I worry that I have moved too much or contracted my ab muscles or something and have expelled my embies. I guess I just need to worry as much as possible? How long were you on bed rest? I have been 24 hrs so far and am planning to take things really easy through Saturday. It's hard! Too much time to think!

BecP-I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed but I have my fingers crossed for your 4! You only need 1 right?!

Image Hey Ladies!!

Image We had a cold front come thru last night and I am cold today!! brrr! Image

I need to be working but I don't want to today!! Image

Jenn
So glad you are back!!! Bed rest is NOT what is cracked up to be is it??? I didn't do strict bed rest, which my clinic use to require it but now they have gotten more relaxed with it. I just kind of took it easy and layed around the first day and the next day, I got up more but still took it easy. We had friends over for dinner that night and they fixed everything but I got up and sat with them at dinner and enjoyed their company!!! I like you want to get so excited and think that I am already preggo but I can't let myself either... This part is hard but the worst is part is after your preggo the waiting for a scan to see if everything is alright. Time literally stops!!! So I am just enjoying my ignorance and praying for the best!!! Hubby is cracking me up, he never wanted more than one, but now I think he is really hoping for twins!! LOL!!!

BecP
Sorry you did not get the numbers you were looking for, but hopefully you have the cream of the crop there and they will want to stay around for 9 months!!!

Charity
Thinking of you!! Will you have a followup with your re?? Let us know how you are doing when you can.

cmoscar and ampmed1
My test buddies how are you doing?? I am going crazy!! I keep feeling myself up all the time to see if I can tell a difference in my boobs, I feel like a pervert!! LOL! I think they feel heavier but who knows, I use to could tell when I was preggers by the veins that show up in my boobs, but now that I am taking baby aspirin I don't think that will work this time!

Hope all is well with the downregging and stimming ladies, let us know how it is going...

Hi Ladies,

I hope everyone is doing well today.

BecP - I am sorry that you are dissapointed with your fertilization rate. Try to stay strong and remember that it only takes one good strong fighter. I'll pray that your 4 little ones develop really well. Let us know how your transfer goes tomorrow.

To all those on their 2ww - How are you feeling? I have heard so many different stories about women feeling AF like symptoms and getting a strong BFP. And I have also heard stories about women with no symptoms at all and getting a BFP. I guess it is different for everyone so try not to think too much into it because you never know.

Charity - How are you feeling today? I was thinking about you last night and hoped that you were doing ok.

For those who already had their tranfer I have a question. How long did you have to lay down after the transfer before they let you get up? My Dr. told me an hour that seems very long to me. I was just curious what you guys had to do. Is the transfer painfull? I had a mock transfer and it was not bad so I am hoping that the actual transfer will be the same.

I heard from my Dr's office this morning and my 9 little ones all divided and are doing well. I was so excited. I was sure we would lose at least a few of them after fertilization. I always expect everything to go wrong so when I hear good news I am always surprised. My transfer is sceheduled for tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. The nurse told me that we will see at that point how many are still doing well and how many we should put back. I am hoping to put back two. I am scared to put back three because we really are not in any position for multiples but I also don't want to put back too few and lesson our chances of it working. I guess we will go with what the Dr. suggests.

All my best.

Nance, congrats on your 9 lil ones, great number:)

For your transfer just make sure, that you drink a lot of water, it helps your doctor to see uterus better I think. It is not painful at all, takes about 30 min, mine took a lil bit over an hour, just because I didn't drink enough water and my uterus has some weird shape lol:) I was sitting for 10 min after ET, then went to the bathroom and was sent home to bedrest for 24 hours.

how many embryos are you transfering? Good luck tomorrow!!!

Hello to my frosty friends up north!! I am down south the weather is great!!
I'm from Ohio and lived in Indiana and New Jersey as well when I was growing up. My parents moved us south when I was in 8th grade and we have been here ever since. All aunts, uncles, cousins, & grandparents are in Ohio and Indiana still. We visit often for Christmas and other holidays and Dh loves the snow! I think it is nice to visit, but going home for x-mas reminds me why I love the south! I definately miss the seasons though.

Did you guys even get a fall this year? I talked to my aunt yesterday in Ohio and she said they were expecting snow flurries today! WOW

Hang in there. I know the waiting is horrible but keep thinking positive and you will do great!

Bec P
Remember that of your four embies it only takes one! So keep sending those embies all your love and they will grow for you!

Nance
Wishing you lots of luck tomarrow at your transfer! I am sure that all will go fine! Let us know how you are doing afterwards when you can and then take it easy and try to enjoy bed rest!

I have an appointment tomarrow to do the day 8 ultrasound to check on my follies. On day sick they measured 9 follies so I am hoping for more! Hopefully they will be able to schedule my ER soon!

For anyone I missed I hope all is going well!
Jill

Nance-Congrats on your embies! ET was not painful really, but was uncomfortable for me, mostly because of the full bladder and the ultrasound and speculum was kind of pushing on my bladder. I had a little cramping (like at mock transfer) when they inserted the catheter. The only thing that actually kind of hurt was when they inserted the catheter to drain my bladder after the procedure was over. BUT the empty bladder was quite a relief! It was interesting to watch on the ultrasound, doctor pointed out a little white dot which were my embies! I did my transfer at the hospital for quite a while-4.5 hrs total. They had me lay down with the hospital bed tilited feet up for 2.5 hrs after the procedure. Wish we'd brought some reading material or something!! I didn't have any valium. I was not even allowed to go to the bathroom or anything during the 2.5 hrs after-if needed, I had to use a bedpan. (I decided I could wait till I got home-another reason that I was grateful for the empty bladder!) Anyway, mostly it was exciting and interesting and now it is just waiting and waiting and waiting . . . and hoping I haven't done anything to mess it up! Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your replys about the transfer. I have another question for you experts out there. I just a got another call from my Dr's office and the nurse told me that my RE went over my reports and that they are all doing really well. So well that they might change me to a 5 day transfer instead of a 3 day transfer. While I am happy to hear that I am concerned. Would'nt the chance of losing some embryos be increased if we wait? They said I should go tomorrow as if I am having the transfer and at the last minute they will go over everything and decide then. Can any of you ladies help shed some light on this subject?

Thank you.

Nance- My ET was boring! I had a full bladder, which my doctor thanked me for doing and said it really does help them transfer the embryos. So if they ask you to do that- DO IT!! I had a valium and was looking forward to taking a nap for the hour that I had to lay in recovery...but alas the valium did NOTHING. No sleepiness for me  Talk about boring to lay there with nothing to do. I brought a book but it was hard to read because I was hooked up to all the heart monitors and stuff. Also I REALLY had to go to the bathroom. The nurses said I could go in the bedpan ( umm...let me think- no thank you!) or wait an hour. I chose to wait and by the time my hour was over I was thinking maybe I shouldn't have been such a snob about the bedpan.
The ET did not hurt at all, it really was no big deal. Although I told Dh it was the most exposed I had been for the whole IVF process. (if you know what I mean) I felt like everyone was getting a good look at me.
Hope this helps!! It's really nothing to be worried about. You'll be so excited to be getting your babies back nothing will matter. My Dr gave us a picture of our embies before she put them in which was great. I look at them everyday! Good Luck!!
Jenn

Nance-- I have always done a day 5 transfer. I think the day 5 is better but it depends on the embies, some just don't do well in a foriegn environment aka a dish in a lab... and need to go back into their natural environment sooner... Yes, it is possible that you will lose some of the embies but you might not. Your doctor will know best and let us know what he has to say tomorrow...
I don't think I have been any help...
There are lots of women that get pregnant on either one....

Good luck!!
