Sari congratulations on the embies and ET! I think it's beautiful that the RE prayed with you...truly awesome. Get lots of rest and talk to the embies and encourage them to get stronger daily. Keep us posted!

I've only posted once, but I do read the posts. Good information. This is our first IVF and we had our ER on 4/1 and the transfer is 4/4. As of yesterday we had 7 fertilize out of 10. We are soooo happy! They had to do ICSI on all. Hopefully we have at least 4 tomorrow so we can transfer 2 and save 2. I'm really worried about drinking so much water before going because I have a sensitive bladder anyway. Oh well, I'll deal with it. As for those who cried or are worried about crying before the ER, don't worry. I did and the nurse said it's your hormones. I have to admit, I've been crying easily and normally I don't. When they called to tell us we had 7 fertilize I started crying becuase I was so happy. I think it's the hormones too. Good luck to everyone. Happy Friday!

Good evening ladies, hope everyone is well. I've just done my second stims injection (whoo hoo!) and managed to be less of a wimp about it this time - DH timed me without me knowing and said I took 4 minutes to summon up the courage tonight, as opposed to 40 minutes yesterday. So he says he's expecting 40 seconds tomorrow! We shall see... All those who told me that I would be fine after I'd done the first one were absolutely right - the thought of it is much worse than the reality. I was showing DH some of your posts last night as I seemed to have sparked off a few about the injection thing - sbr, I really laughed at your anecdote about pushing the needle back out by mistake! I can so easily see how that is done!

Emilie - I know exactly what you mean about not committing to IVF emotionally 100%. I am exactly the same - we have been TTC for 4 years now and to start with I used to be quite hopeful every month that we would be successful. That led to so much sadness every time AF arrived that I started to assume that it would be a BFN so that I wouldn't be as hurt, and I continued to adopt that approach when we did our IUI's last year. So after years of being ready for the worst, it's quite difficult to go back to the innocent hopeful times, does that make sense? All I can say for me is that the stats of IVF working are sufficiently good that I'm allowing myself to believe and hope that if it doesn't happen first time, it won't take many tries before we get our BFP.

Trying and dys - good luck for your ER tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you both! Report in when you can...

babyluv - good luck to you too for ET. When do you find out how many fertilised? Has that horrible headache gone away now?

sbr - how is your cramping? From what I've read on these boards, that seems to be a pretty common thing (although obviously not that pleasant) and not anything to get worried out.

aims - YAY! Roll on the 21st for your ultrasound!

Sari - enjoy being PUPO! So funny that you named your embies - if you have baby boys you'll have to use Larry, Harry and Moe as middle names or something!

Hopeful - how lovely to hear from you again! So pleased that ER went well, 7 fertilised eggs is great!

Neffi - 18 follies sounds amazing. Enjoy your day off the drugs tomorrow and best of luck for Sunday.

Everyone else, hello and hope things are on track. Speak to you all soon - have a great weekend!

I'm still suffering from the cramping and bloating. It's pretty bad and it's reminding me of my OHSS I had with my fresh cycle, but I can't have that as I didn't stim with this FET. I just got off the phone with one of the RE's at my clinic, and he thought that these were unfortunate side effects of the progesterone. I hope I'm feeling A LOT better by Monday because I have to go back to work. All I keep thinking is that I started out miserable with my son, so maybe this is how I start out all pregnancies???

Had my ET today. Had 3 8B embies transferred and 5 are going to see if they are able to freeze. It was much easier than ER.

Sorry I havent done personals lately between work and not feeling well after ER has really hindered me.

Just had my ER today. It went very well. They retrieved 16 follicles. My RE seemed pretty happy with that number considering my history as being a poor responder in the past. I'm crossing my fingers that alot of them will fertilize. I should find out tomorrow morning. I'm still not sure if it will be a 3 or 5 day transfer. My beta is scheduled for 4/20.

Probably a silly question but what does PUPO stand for?

Melanie, I had my first not so pleasant experience with PIO tonight :? The shot was still easy...did it myself again :D But almost immediately afterwards it felt like someone had punched me in the butt! I noticed when I withdrew the needle that there as a little stream of blood instead of just a drop like usual. I started to massage it as I always do and the soreness kicked in anyway. I can see where the heating pad women talk about could be used in this instance. Nothing major though and I was probably just due for some discomfort since it has been so easy up to this point :P

Kline- good luck with ER on Monday. It is ok to get emotional, it is a very emotional time. And it is very common for our dh's to annoy us too. I think no one realizes how crazy the stims do make us. I hope one day to publish my book too....but it would be more like a "Chicken Soup for the IVF/Infertile Soul." I want to put together a collection of short stories, to help people get through this time in their lives. I find all of the stories on this board amazing, and think their should be a compilation. Maybe everyone could help me get started by sharing by emailing me their short story!

cymplicity- soory about the crummy pio shot, hope your butt feels better soon! I wish I had advice for you, but I don;'t, I have never taken them myself. I read that a lot of women ice the area first and it helps.

latino- congrats on ET. I hope you 3 little embies are snuggling in nicely...lots of sticky dust to you!

sbr- I hope you miserable symptoms are signs of a possible pregnancy, but I do hope that this pregnancy will not be as miserable as the first...eeeek

Carolyn- Yay for Prague! (That is where you are going, right?) I am so excited for you...and I will be praying for the Er on Tuesday and pending ET. I am so glad you will have a laptop and will be able to keep us informed.

Neffi- 18 follies sounds good! I hope your weekend goes quickly so you can get them out soon and not feel so bloated! You must feel even more bloated than the rest of us doing this so soon after your delivery.

hjw- I knew you guys would be injection pro's soon! It gets easier everyday! By the end of 10 days, I think I could have done it in my sleep.

hopeful- so glad to read you are still with us. Congrats on your ER and good luck on your upcoming ET. I remember the full bladder was the worst part, I had to pee so bad and you have to sit there on that table for like 15 minutes after the transfer! I hope your bladder holds out for you!

Sari- so cute you named your embies after the stooges! I also think it is awesome that RE prayed with you. I think that would be rare in the US. As far as the spotting, I think you will be fine. Spotting throughout this whole thing is pretty normal...it's only a concern when it gets heavy and bright.

Dys- good luck today! I am thinking about you...let us know when you can.

I know there is a lot going on this weekend here...ER's, ET's...so for anyone I missed, good luck to everyone. I have been reading, and updated our list when needed...I just haven't posted too much since I am in this awful waiting stage. I have been pretty busy too, and I am doing a bunch of running around today too, so I will check in later when I can. But keep all the posts coming ladies, I love reading, and I think we have such an awesome group of people here!
