MArci- i am so sorry for you. Ive been canceled twice too just start my cycle of stims and ive been a mess. I cant imagine knowing there growing some just not enough! Keep your head up!

AFM i am still taking my BCP still waiting a call as to what there plan is for my cyst. I am scheduled for a u/s and Bw for april 5th. I am crossing my fingers that it shrank or disappeared! Also for it to stop making my estradiol level so high!! Then maybe I can start stimulation with you ladies!!!

Well you know I never did ER but you sound in pain... you are seeing your clinic tomorrow for that right... I think you have be have the OSS?? just too much stim you know. Did you search online for that? Sorry I forget the full name of it.

HELLO LADIES,
I AM VERY NEW TO THIS AND HAVE BEEN YEARNING TO TALK TO COUPLES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED OR EXPERIENCING IVF. I AM 37 YEARS and have two beautiful children ages 12 and 9 from a previous marriage. I am remarried to a wonderful man who is ten years older with no children. I never thought I would ever have the problem of getting pregnant because of the success I had in the past and the age of my husband... WAS I wrong! I never felt so old in my life as we sat in the RE doctor's office and saw the statistics of women over the age of 35..We have been trying for about 18 months with one pregnancy that failed in miscarriage. My RE didn't even recommend any artificial inseminations, we went straight to the IVF cycle. I started my meds on March 4th. Three injections a day, vaginal insert of progesterone, 3 times a day, along with antibiotic's and something else(I forgot)... I was literally going out of my mind, horns were growing and claws were out at all times! I might have not been pregnant but Lord did I look it... I put on ten pounds in about 12 days. I was so bloated anyone could have put a needle in me and I would have popped!
3/16: egg retrieval of 20 eggs
3/17: 12 fertilized
3/21: egg transfer(5 went to blast) 2 transferred
2/22: no eggs survived to freeze

My RE never told me the grade of my eggs, he just said they looked good. I experienced a lot of cramping after the egg retrieval and have really not felt right since then. Did any of you feel a lot of cramping after this procedure? I started to doubt the quality of the eggs after I heard that none of the others survived.
I took a pregnancy test yesterday 8days after transfer and it was positive(faint faint) second line. Little sceptical. We go back on Friday for the blood test, but still not feeling safe by all means! Because of my previous miscarry we just want to remain as calm and real as we can. Wish us luck! I will keep all of you updated!

My God you got your BFP after your first trial... Congratulations on your BFP that is just amazing and 35 is a great age for success with you

The RE doctor told me before I even started taking the medication that it was a huge side effect. I believe it is just a lot of bloating and maybe water retention.

Did anyone else experience weight gain throughout the IVF process?

After I read my entry again, I made a mistake... my husband is ten years younger than me, that is one reason why I thought I wouldn't have a problem, not ten years older... Already having brain farts!

Yes there are LOTS of women who gain weight while stimming but good thing is goes away after really fast unless you get pg well then you will gain lots more weight

winnie endo sucks! i had no idea i had it until i had my lap done last march "just to take a look and see" why i wasnt getting pregnant...i was in SHOCK when i woke up and was told i had stage 4 endo. the silver lining is that it doesnt cause me any pain, but at the same time...if i was in pain i woulda found out about it a long time ago, and started this ivf stuff sooner. oh well..ive heard of many woman with endo that get pregnant with IVF so there is hope for us. i just wish my overies would pay attention to all the meds and do what i want them to do for once!! 7 good growing follies is amazing, and i'm so happy for you!! when is your next SnS? i bet by then they will have you trigger!! woooohoooo for an easter egg hunt haha

emmax you should call your RE and tell them about all the pain you are in. i was a little sore after my ER, but i also only had 4 follies. i think if you talk to your RE it will help put your mind at ease, and they will know how to make you feel better! you gotta feel good for those lil embies on saturday!!

marci if katie is around you should talk to her...she did both. i'm not sure on either, but i would go with your heart, and it will be the right decision!! thinking of you always my dear!

afm not much new...just stimming away. seder went great last night. we got to call a bunch of different friends and family all over the country and do different parts of the seder with them on the phone so we didnt feel so alone. i went to acupuncture today and am feeling pretty relaxed so far during this process. tomorrow is my first real SnS from starting stims, and i know that is when i really start to get nervous. tomorrow is also my dog's birthday and i cant believe he is 12! i got him as a puppy and its crazy how much my life has changed since then! (ive had him longer then ive known DH!!)
i'm going to try and stay as busy as possible tomorrow so i'm not going crazy waiting for the phone to ring.
ahhhhhh!! serenity now!! haha

Emmax – Yes, I had some discomfort after my ER but it didn’t last. But, everyone is different … I would definitely mention it to your RE. The fact that you aren’t bleeding is a good sign!

Stephanie – I am so glad you choose to join our little family. I am so sorry about your miscarriage! But, I have hope that this is your time. A faint positive is a great way to start! Yes, I gained so much weight with the injections also. I think 10 pounds in a week sounds about right. I remember I was so very shocked during my first IVF back in 2008 when I came back to my RE to be weighed and within 1 ½ weeks I gained almost 15 pounds! I just couldn’t believe it and they said you actually gained less than most of our patients … some gain even more weight than that! YIKES!!!

Emmax – the hormones make you gain weight! For some women it increases their appetite so you eat more. I know it increased my appetite but I tried to ignore it and I would become so nauseated if I didn’t eat!

AFM – I am just waiting and waiting until Thursday for my ER! My RE called this morning and I am supposed to trigger w/ my Ovidrel at 7pm and arrive at 6:30am for my ER on Thursday! … Is it Thursday yet????

Just a short post today as work is crazy again today. I am still trying to read everyone's posts and wishing you all well even if I dont do the full personals.

Marci I'm glad that you are still going to try for one more cycle. Whether it be your eggs with a different protocal or donor eggs know that I wish you the very best. I will pray that you feel better and have a successful cycle next time.

Claudia Looking forward to hearing about your little one's heartbeats tomorrow. I am very tempted to POAS but of course its way to early. I have one left from my failed IUI's and I swear it calls my name everytime I walk into the bathroom!

emmax I had some pain after the ER for a few days and got a lot of eggs also. If its very bad I would talk to your RE so they can check to make sure you are not hyper stimulated as pregnancy can make it worse.

Chris/Miner Congrats on the twins! DH and I are hoping we get twins. One of each sex would be great!

Ashley Good luck with starting your Lupron tonight! Remember to stay hydrated so those awful headaches stay away.

To all the others that I have missed I hope you are doing well with your cycles and know that my prayers are with you. Nothing really new to report with me. Glad work is keeping me busy so the 2ww doesn't drive me bonkers! Can't wait for the 7th to get here so we can find out if I'm BFP (please God let it be so)! ~TERESA
