Hi Girls! Sorry I have been MIA for awhile....

JHarris---I am spitting mad for you. You really deserve this and Mother Nature should have accommodated. That said, regroup, my friend. I will be thinking of you and am confident that someday soon you will make a wonderful mother.

SDTrying---You're a doc! That explains how you were able to bamboozle a lab into doing "unofficial betas!" Following your example, I was trying to befriend the individuals that work in my lab. Unfortunately, most of the technicians have all the charm of a flesh eating virus and my attempts at light-hearted banter were met with snarling contempt. Good luck on your boards. If your compassion on this thread is any indication, you will make a wonderful shrink (and mother)!

Neffi--How are those embies doing???

IndieBlue--CONGRATS on your trigger! Sounds like you are loaded with prime follies and it is going to be quite a harvest.

IrishHope--Fantastic fert report....Here's a tip for ET....When I went, my clinic requested that I arrive an hour early and bring a big bottle of water to sip. (You need a full bladder for the ultrasound, which is part of the transfer procedure.) Well, being a serious Type A personality, I brought an enormous bottle of water (the bigger the better, I rationalized) and guzzled it all down in the first fifteen minutes. By the time the procedure rolled around, I was yowling in pain. So here's the tip....Drink a moderate amount of water...and time your consumption!

Dakota--It took my E2 awhile to get rolling...and by ER...I was up over 5000! Don't worry...your nurse is right....those numbers can climb fast!

AdsGirl (Jen)--You are back in the game! I can't tell you how happy I am for you!

Queenie---Sounds like DH's coaching is working (and that "grow" story you related is adorable)!

CWRJ00--Congrats on triggering! Wishing you the best of luck for your ER!

Rinnie--You are the epitome of strength and grace. I am delighted that AF showed up...The sooner she comes and goes...the sooner you can start your protocol. Third time's the charm, Rinnie. And you deserve this more than anybody.

Update on me--I know I shouldn't have. I know it was really, really wrong. But I POAS last night at 2:30AM. As it steeped, I refused to look at it. After peeing, I brushed my teeth and flossed for good measure. I folded some towels and patted on some eye cream. And finally, I walked back over to that evil little stick. At first glance, it looked negative, a scarlet control line and nothing more. But then I picked it up and studied it a bit closer. I saw the barest whisper of baby pick. A very faint, but unmistakeable line. All day I have been investigating evaporation lines, the prevalence of HcG in one's system as a result of the trigger shot and chemical pregnancies. I am not sure...and I am certainly not calling it a BFP...but I am encouraged. My beta is Thursday.

Irish Yes, mine should fall on the 18th due to the study, it's 13-15 days from retrieval and not transfer....so they have it marked the 18th. I'm going to be bad though...I've already bought 25 HPT strips. I almost want to POAS right now...just to see a positive...even though I know that it's the trigger shot as I've not even done ER yet LOL Silly I know ;)

Well, I'm drinking the water and the juice to keep hydrated for tomorrow, they say it helps in starting that IV...etc. Plus trying to keep the constipation at bay :) I feel constipated (lots of lower abdomen pressure, even when I sit) but today I've been so nervous that I've been to the bathroom more times then I can count LOL So I've decided it must be the ovaries hurting....and not my colon LOL

I'm glad you got your RE to go with 2 :) My RE said she'd go with 3 if we do a 3 day transfer and 2 if we do a 5 day.....so we'll see :) Seems that I assumed it would be a 5 day because most people I've talked to said they don't do a lot of 3 days anymore, but so far I've seen a few come out of this clinic...so who knows. I think I'd actually prefer a 3 day if possible, since that'll put it on the weekend and my husband will have off to help me around the house :)

Oh well, good luck and lots of STICKY VIBES!!!

Evening ladies

ForMaggie-- thanks for asking, the embies are doing fine so far. If your beta is only two days away, thats a definite positive...congrats!

Indie-- my beta should fall around yours as well! Good luck tomorrow!

Rlk1-- thanks for crashing! my 3 embies are doing good right now! This is it, I can feel it!

Irishhope-- Congrats on your transfer! 2 embies snugglin in!

Cwrj00-- yeah trigger!!!! what time?

Dakota--I will be thinking of you tomorrow! GROW FOLLIES Cmon E2

Rubylee- waiting to hear your beta!

Rinnie- glad to hear that AF showed her ugly face!!!!

SDTrying-- whats up with the spotting?

As for me.....RE called and said all three embies are dividing so far, we usually lose them day 3-4 so she wanted to know if I wanted to transfer all of the tomorrow or wait to see if they make it to blast. I want to wait becasue I figure if they dont make it to blast then they probably wont make it in me either. RE agreed, but wanted to give me to option. If for some reason we dont have more than 1 to transfer, they will thaw my frosties! So transfer will be Friday, please pray my embies make it to blast! I feel that this is my time!

ForMaggie - Wow! sounds like a BFP! hoping your beta is great on Thursday!

Neffi211 - Hoping your embies grow out the next few days!!

IndieBlue - 25 HPT sticks! I have not decided if I'm goign to POAS yet or not...last cycle I did and it was good to be prepared...I'll play it by ear and see how I feel the next 14 days!!

I see most do 5 day blasts - my RE/clinic no longer does 5 day - said they saw no real dfifference in number of successful cycles with 5 day vs 3 day but I think blasts are obviously stronger so I am kind of bummed they don't do them - now I'm worried a 3 day is not giving us our best shot??

Hi Irish Hope

My clinic only does 2 or maybe 3 day transfers if you have lots of embryos. When I asked why they said a poorer grade embryo is more likely to develop in utero than out. I do think that the clinics here in the UK are much more conservative than in the US. We are also only allowed to transfer 2 embryos max (although over 40's can transfer 3).

Re POAS: Last time I managed to get to Day 10 before testing like a maniac every 4 hours!! Good luck! I hope your will power is better than mine!

Is everyone planning to POAS during the 2ww?

Good evening ladies! Looks like everyone is really starting to move now! Can't wait to see all the good news posted.

Ruby - can't wait to hear that high beta number.

Neffi - so happy that they are dividing, and I am hoping you have good ones to put back on Friday.

Irish - things sound great - enjoy the 2ww!

Indie - good luck with ET.

Dakota - don't give up. I hope those follicles grow!!

ForMaggie - sounds like good news to me. Thursday will be here soon!

Rinnie - you have such a great attitude - glad you are sticking around here!

Ads - thanks so much for keeping the list updated and I am so happy to hear you are back on this ride!!

Just wanted to post a quick note on the 3day/quality of embryo transfer issue. We did 3 day, because my RE did not think my embryos would make it to day 5 - we had 6 embies as of transfer and they put in 3 and the others didn't make it to freezing. Of the ones they put back, 1 was below average and 2 were average (they didn't give me the ratings). However, it worked!! So don't give up hope if you do a 3 day transfer and have less than good quality. I now firmly believe that being in my "welcoming uterus" as I like to think of it is better for the little ones than the lab. I find out Friday how many are in there.

Good luck to everyone with all the upcoming dates!!

Hey girls, you all have been so supportive and that really means alot to me! I was wondering if anyone has had breast pain where exactly is it? Mine is getting pretty bad on the sides almost to my armpit.

I go to the Dr tomarrow for my by weekly progetrone and estrogen check but they said that they would check my hcg level and call me. Tomarrow will be day 12. What is a level suppose to be at on day 12? I am dreading the appointment as I would rather live with the dream that I might be pregnant. She said they will know for sure on Friday as tomarrow could be to early to get a good reading due to my hcg shot I had earlier. I really just dont know how to feel about it. We do have 4 frozen, 1 3AB 2 small blasts and one other that they have not yet rated. I am slightly postive about the chance to use them but just not feeling pregnant now. I was also relieved to hear others talk about slight depression during their 2ww. I could cry at the drop of a hat. Anyway I will let you all know what I find out tomarrow. I will be praying for all of you as you have been a blessing to me!!! Good Luck

2nd beta is in!! 1206! Yay, I was so grumpy all day and now i feel 10 pounds lighter (but literary about 6 pounds heavier from this process). My u/s is June 17th, 2 weeks from today! Yippee!

ForMaggie - Sounds like another BFP around the corner, congrats! You should probably keep testing to make sure it still there

As for transferring on day 3 or 5, we also did day 3. My RE said day 5 is great if you can get there but he most often does 3 day because if there is any question about their strength it is better to get them in and snuggly.

Hope you're all having a great evening!

I'm a little nervous now, I hope I didnt make the wrong choice, do you think I should have transfered the 3 embies tomorrow on day 3. I mean I know the blasts have a better pregnancy rate, but maybe they would do better in the uterus? I guess its to late now, I need to hope they make it, and are decent! Have a good night everyone!

Hi Girls--

Rubylee--Awesome number! Perhaps multiples?

Neffi--Don't second guess yourself. Your RE thought that a 5dt was your best option and she has been inspecting your body and your blood chemistry for months now (and she was right about nixing ICSI.) Try to relax (I know, I know...easier said than done :) )

Indie & Irish--My clinic did a day 4 transfer...Strange, I know. Due to my age (38) and my history of miscarriage, they performed PGD on my embies before putting them back which took an extra day. I am so excited for you both....Good luck today, Indie!

CWRJ00 & Kimmy---Thanks for your kind words! CWRJ00, fingers crossed for a gigantic crop of perfect eggs!

Update---I took Rubylee's advice and tested again...and again. Another faint pink positive on a First Response Early Result test and a "Pregnant" reading on an EPT digital. (At 4am, I tried to show the test to my very sleepy husband. "Read this!" I insisted, pointing to the digital display. Squinting, he replied, "What's that? A centipede?" YES, DARLING, CENTIPEDE GRAPHICS ARE ALL THE RAGE IN HPTS. Can you tell he wears glasses to read?

I am feeling optimistic, but since I have experienced the crushing disappointment of miscarriage, I am not going to breathe until I see a positive beta, rising numbers and then a heartbeat. Hands down, this is the worst thing about IVF. The constant hurdles that need to be cleared...
