Debbie, nice to hear you got to see your first scan. Pretty exciting for you!! Glad to hear your not having morning sickness, hopefully the afternoon quiziness doesn't last to much longer.

Smita, how are you doing? I read somewhere your drinking 6 litres of water a day. Where are you putting it? Your amazing! Hope everything is going well for you and your feeling fantastic. Take care of yourself!

Sand, how are you feeling? Are you getting any rest? I hope your ok. I'm thinking of you. Have you heard any news lately on your tmt?

Hi Paula ! Thanks for checking up on me .. We've a consultation at the new clinic on 11 Oct, which I'm looking forward to. The letter says they will do an u/sound and sperm analysis there and then, then we go in to see the consultant ... Seems strange after so much waiting around on the NHS ... u/sound one day, sperm later .. mtg MUCH later .. etc ..!!

Hope you managed to get hubby off to airport okay. He sounds like a busy chappy - off and around all over the place. You should still be snuggled up nice and warm in bed right now. Sweet dreams !

Hello Friends,
I am so sorry to drop off the planet as I did. Please forgive me. I did try to write once about a week ago, but my computer crashed when I was ready to hit send and I just didn't have the time to re-write the note.

I spent a few days on the other side of the state helping a friend with her chemo treatment. Then when I got back, my daughters were here for the Labor Day holiday weekend - WONDERFUL 3 DAYS!!! Then, I started a new job! So I've not had a normal life for 2 weeks.

I am fine. Progressing nicely on the tmt plan for our next cycle. This round my boobs swelled a little with the bc pills (like the first round back in Jan/Feb) and that makes me feel we are going to have a better harvest than in June (which was cancelled bc of too few eggs). Could be no connection whatsoever, but I just feel more fertile this round. 8)

My suppression check is Tuesday, stimms start on Thursday. EC still set for Sept 28 (could move a day either way).

So sad to read about Lisa. I really feel for you, Lisa. Hope you are finding some answers.

Sounds like everyone else is progressing normally.

Exciting to read about Debbie's scan!

God Bless! I'll stay in better communication. Just have to re-organize my life now that I have a part-time job to fit in.

Phew Randa!!!!!!!! I'm so glad to hear all's well. It got me thinking 'what if....' and realised how much I rely on hearing from you :) I wasn't the only one, I know lots of people noticed you'd gone quiet .....it's lovely to have you back :D

Our EC dates could be the same!!!!!!!! I'm hoping for the same week as you at least.

Will write again later this week. Having had the WHOLE summer off, I've lots of new classes starting this week and need to prepare otherwise I'll have mutinous students on my hands.

All well here in cold, dark and rainy Norway (but did you all notice last week it topped the list of best quality of life for the 5th year running???) ....we've general election tomorrow, likely to change from right to left govts. ..... I can't vote yet (need to be a citizen with 7 year's residency) I'll be ready for the next one...

must go and do some work....
hugs
Debra.

RANDA - Good to hear from you - you busy bee!! You and I should be almost identical timewise with our treatment plan. You start stimms on Thursday, I should start on Wednesday of this week. Your EC will be a few days before my planned FET (early Oct all being well) so we could be transferring at the same time. Lets send each other lots of PMA across the big pond for the next few weeks. Take care.

Debra/Randa,

Looks like the 3 of us will be pretty close with our treatment cycles, to the day, almost and, have you realised, we are all going through a slightly different treatment plan? Randa - Frosties, Debra - Fresh and me - FET. Good luck ladies and to all our other friends on this Board.

Debra,
That's right, school's starting so you'll be busy, busy getting into a groove. Cool that we'll be growing follies at the same time. I didn't know that about Norway's living status. How great that you live in such a place. Not surprising though, as I'm sure you fit in well there (good people, good government, good life).

Sharon,
Great that we'll be injecting at the same time. I won't be transferring though, like you. I'm the odd-ball in our group that just harvests and freezes. My dh promised we will transfer in December - no matter what! So I have a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm always a little jealous of you ladies who get to do the whole cycle and have the 2ww experience. Haven't done that yet. Hopefully this will be your last. Yours and Debras, both.

Sorry again. I know how worried I would be if any of you stopped communicating w/out an explanation. Won't do that again.

Well, it's been 3 days since we lost our baby and I still wake up in the morning thinking i'm pregnant and then the memory of Friday's D&E hits me like a ton of bricks and takes my breath away. We have decided we will transfer the 3 frozen embies we have. I've never had a FET before can someone tell me how they prep you for it? Anyone have any sources of info with stats for success with frozen embryos? I feel like we're doomed for failure since they say after 3 consecutive m/c's my chances are slim. I need to try to visualize life without a baby but it just hurts so bad. :(

Lisa, my heart really is going out to you right now. I know how heartbroken you are, but you don't need to try to think of life without a baby yet. There are still options for you and as hard as it may be you need to try and find every bit of strength inside you to get some positive vibes happening. The mind is more powerful than anyone will ever know. If your looking at Fet then you haven't given up and you need to start working your mind into creative and positive visulization. You can do this! Don't ever give up on your dreams. Maybe you need to take a break right now? I'm not sure what I would do, I would probably give myself a break and heal myself. Maybe you need to do that to get your strength back? Just a suggestion, hope you don't mind?

Please take care, I'm thinking of you!

Yay Sandra!! It's the start of a new countdown for you  One month to go before your tests. I"m really excited for you. I really hope this new clinic is the one that's going to do it for you! I'll be waiting anxiously to hear all your results. You better keep me posted. How are you feeling though? Are you getting enough rest? I was worried about you last week. I'm sure your going to make the most of this next month though and prepare yourself the best you can. Are you following Zita West's diet? Let me know, I'd really be interested to find out what your doing.

As for hubby, I did get him off. I was so tired the next day. I had to go to work that night. Then I got home at 10pm and my daughter was sick. She was up all night last night vomitting, poor thing. I took her to the dr this morning and they gave her a shot of maxeline. Then I had to go to work again today. DH was home for most of the day with her but when I got home she had a fever of 40c so I had a panic attack and took her back to dr. I was worried about meningitis but she's ok. Lots of panadol, lucozade and popsicles. I'll check on her before I go to bed tonight to give her more panadol. Hopefully her fever is staying down. Cross your fingers for me, I really do need to get some sleep, i'm a walking zombie. LOL
I have wed/thurs off this week. Wed morning i have to take dh to the airport again for 5am so it's up at about 3:30am*sigh* I guess I should look at this as training for the future  Up all hours, no sleep... YaY, I can't wait :D

Randa, nice to see you back. Sounds like you've been having some good fun and keeping yourself busy. It's a good thing, it makes the time go faster hey?

To all everyone else, hope your all well and everyone is keeping up that PMA!

Hugs to you all

Paula, I hope your daughter gets better very, very quickly.

Lisa, the pain doesn't go away for a while I'm sorry to say. I spent weeks if not longer automatically thinking I was still pregnant, even when it was over. I kept wanting to keep my abdomen warm and then remembering there was nothing there. I would stop before doing something and then realise it was OK, I had no reason not to drink that cofffee, for example. It does get better but it took me months, not weeks. I thought I'd bounced straight back but realised after it was too soon. Give yourself lots of time and TLC, you and DH will both need it.

Sharon & Randa, you'll have to trail-blaze slightly ahead of me I'm afraid. I heard today that my LH levels were too high last Friday so I'll continue DRing for an extra week, a new blood test this Friday and if all goes well, start stims next Wed. It moves tmt to the first week of Oct. I'm trying to keep a balance but got quite despondent about it earlier today.

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all well.

hugs
Debra

Lisa,
I just ache for you, Dear. I can't imagine what you are feeling. I've had set-backs but none that compare to a mc. Be extra good to yourself these days. And, for what it's worth, I have heard of women getting pregnant after that many mcs. It does happen.

Debra,
Sorry for your delay. Those suck! Why do they check your LH level? Seems like something I should know by now. And what is a normal level compared to yours? And, lastly, is there anything you can do to effect it?

I may have a set-back too. I had my suppression check today and they found a large cyst on my left ovary (they also found 7 follies on the same ovary). They took blood to see if it's a "simple" cyst which means it is okay to proceed. If it's the other kind, then it means the cyst would take in all my estrogen during the stimming and would therefore rob my ovaries of what they need to do their job. So I may need to delay until the cyst pops. :( I'll know tomorrow.

Paula,
Fevers are so scary when they come on strong like that to our little ones. Sounds like you knew what to do. I hope she bounces back quickly - as kids often do.

Hi Sharon!

Debra, Randa
You're not going to believe this - I too have had my meds put back one week - simply because the hospital are inundated with 'late' starters and this has resulted in them putting me back a week. However, during my baseline scan today I too have a cyst, but one was detected during my IVF in April but wasn't seen to be a threat. They took an extra phile of blood to ascertain what business this cyst had hovering around in there!!! I presume all was well there as I have been instructed to continue with the Syneral and ring again on Monday for 'instructions'. They said it could be Friday (23 Sept) rather than this Friday (16th). CAN YOU BELIEVE IT GIRLS - all three of us in slow mode at the moment. :? So it looks as though I will be looking at W/C 10 Oct for transfer (I always say providing those precious little embies survive the defrost).

Lisa, comforting words from all us ladies, we hope, will help you to get through this very difficult time. When you feel ready to focus again, remember do not lose your faith in believing that this could work for you. FET can be undertaken with our without medication, it depends on your clinic. This is my first FET, medicated, as my hospital wanted to fully control my cycle. I started suppression (sniffing) on day 21 after my period (still downregging right now). I will then be put on a course of HRT tablets to thicken the lining of the womb in readiness for transfer. I am not sure how fresh transfer v frozen compare (DebraP may be able to assist there) but obviously there is a chance the embies will perish during the defrost process. Many ladies, however, go on to have a successful pregnancy. I notice a couple of ladies over the last couple of weeks have reported success stories. Anyway, plenty of time for you to decide. Please take care and remember our thoughts really are with you and DH right now. Hugs x

Paula, how are things looking for you? Are you planning ahead for another cycle yet? Fingers and everything crossed for you this next time.

Sand, haven't chatted to you for a while - it seems like you've been waiting for ever for your new clinic appt. Not long now. I would imagine it really feels like a new start. I have always stayed with this hospital for practical reasons (it's only 15 mins from home and there's a lot to be said for that when you are back and forth for scans) but I do feel sometimes it would have been nice to experience a new clinic and possibly different set ups. Wishing the time will come around quickly for you. x

Sorry girls, I'll be writing an epic at this rate. Love to chat to you all though.

Hi to all the other ladies on this and other threads.

Hugs
Sharon x
