Hi Girls! First of all, thank you for the anniversary wishes! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Back to work today for me...ugh. :(

Well, today is CD30 for me and still no AF. I think I'll call the doc today and see if they can "induce" it with some progesterone. If I let it go too long, I'll miss my lupron start on 1/14, and I don't want to delay it! Hmmm...I wonder if I should do an HPT??? Wouldn't that be something! Dare to dream...right?

Anyway, just wanted to say Happy Wednesday! January is right around the corner...YAY! :D :D :D

the week between!
I am busy cleaning up and getting prepared -Dh & I have a big new year's day recovery party each year - movies, food, and drinks all day long - hope you all are having a marvelous holiday!
There were a lot of wee ones this year, and it was sort of exciting and a little bit scary - I mean, we are the only ones in either family without small ones, so the others are a bit envious of our freedom, most don't know what we're up to, though!
still on bcp, and puffier than ever!

cheers!

Loopis - sounds fun - can I come :) We haven't decided what we are going to do for New Year's yet. It might be our last New Year's without children

Cornybaby: Sorry you are at work :( I hope AF eaither gets here today - or stays away for 9 mos

Well, I went to the class and forgot to ask like a bizillion questions ! He measured my uterus said it was perfect  and I will start meds of 1/7/07! From what I understand I will be on Lupron 10 units until I start my period (about 7 days). Then I go in for b/w and u/s. Some point after that I decrease the Lupron to 5 units and add the Follistim (how many units??? anyone know the average??) From there it will depend on how I respond. The nurse is checking with the doctor if I can order my meds from Europe. If not, then I will try freedomdrug.com they seem to be pretty cheap.

They will do assisted hatching if it looks like it is needed. Also we will be getting ICSI done.

Some of the pre-conception restricitions are:
No:
Engaging in high-impact activities (includes jumping) b/c she said the ovaries are floating and can get twisted. I think i will take up swimming..
Do:
prenatal vitamins and folic acis
stay hydrated (I really need to work on this - I don't drink enough!!)
keep heart rate under 140.

Take Care everyone and stay positive!!

Mia - we start the same exact day!!!

Silly question - how about sex? Does anyone know if you are supposed to avoid it before ER, ET or after?

I have to schedule my appointment - can't wait!!! What I really want to do is post my little list of names all with BFP!!!!!

Rio: Where did you get that comic?? Love it. As far as sex. You are supposed tp abstain starting when you get the HCG shot until Dh gives up his men for the fertilization. Then I have heard to abstain after the ET until a BFP - and maybe a bit longer after that. I had no idea that you have to do the progesterone till the 8th WEEK of pg - YIKES   !

yes indeedy- 36 days in a row on bcp is a lot, but I am on "their" cycle now, and it seems they'll be starting me along with 5 or so other women, and due to the holidays, that's the schedule -grrrr! my boobs are HUGE!!!! I can only imagine how crazy I'll look when I'm preggers -they'll probably call me the brunette pam anderson!
Rio -it sounds like you are scheduled to be on meds almost twice as long as me - I'm confused!, but we're all different, so I suspect there is method to the madness!
corny - happy anni - AF here yet? - POAS, I say!
mia how'd the mock go? everything okey dokey, I hope!

ok- really need to clean!

I found that cartoon on Photobucket and thought you girls could use a giggle :)

I am supposed to get my schedule today so I can figure out for sure how long I will be on meds, I might be thinking longer than I really need to. So far I am doing well on Yasmin and yes my boobs are huge and I cannot imagine bigger, ouch!

My sweet DH opened the box again with me to make sure we had refrigerated any meds we needed to. I am still nervous about all those pills, gels, shots, yickes! I haven't had my class yet so it is all overwhelming.

My Doc put me in the same cycle with other women too so I am also on their schedule...

Oh and if you are taking the medical deduction for the IRS on IVF, don't forget to make some payments or order your meds this year!

Hi everyone - I'm going on BCP today for my second IVF cycle. I believe I'll start Lupron on 1/24 and have ER/ET around the second week of February.

Hey Rio - if you go through freedomdrug.com, ask your Dr. if you can use Gonal-F instead of Follistim. Freedomdrug provides Gonal-F for much cheaper.

Good luck to you all!
