Hi ladies i am kind of late of writing. But i did a 5 day blast transfer on 6/12/08 and my beta was saturday. so i did not have to do the full 2week but i was starting to chicken out because this is my 3rd time
1st cycle cancelled
2nd bfn
3rd bfn and so you know i am scared to go for beta and i said i was not going and i called re and said not coming she yelled at me and so they moved it up to tomorrow.

I read some of you guys post and i had to write. I know this is hard for all you guys but just stay strong and keep your head up. my freind who use to live hear in the states moved back to greece she did 9iui here and 2 there and she just got her bfp and she found out she is having twins 2days ago. We cant give up the fight. and it took alot for me to say that because i have been a real punk yesterday i mean i have been crying for every little thing. because i am so stressed out about not being pregant and this cycle not working. but i will try again till i dont have the money to do it . because i want it this bad and dh deserves it.

i hope you don't mind me crashing this thread but you all seem so supportive and relatively calm for the 2ww and I can't begin to tell you how much I need both of those things at the moment.
I feel like I am losing it. I can't stop crying. This is my fourth IVF. The first was a BFN, the second was BFP but she was diagnosed with turners syndrome at 12 weeks and I lost her at 16 weeks. The third time was a chemical pregnancy. I am completely and utterly consumed with anxiety. I am sure al ot of it is attributable to progesterone as well (i am doing both shots and suppositories).
I did a 5 day transfer last Thursday. They transfered two blastocysts that we PGD'd (based on my track record). I even know the sex. I am suppose to go for my beta on Tuesday but I don't know if I can wait until then. I think I am going to POAS on Sunday for the same reason you are Dakota. I don't want to be at work and have a nervous breakdown in front of everyone.
Today is the first day since the transfer that I haven't really had any cramping and I am worried. I have a slight dull backache. My boobs aren't sore. I want bland food. Maybe a I feel a bit of naseau?
Thank you so much for letting me vent. I even feel better just putting my thoughts on paper.

Hey ladies, I just wanted to add my name to group of teachers on this board. I am so glad that I have the summer off after my transfer. I swear this is all I can think about and I all thought about during the 2week wait. I admire those who went to back to work after procedure. I could not have done it. Hopefully, by the time school starts back I will be 10 weeks. I am a high school special ed. teacher. Thanks for all your congrats.

hrobinson- I admire anyone who can teach the little ones all day! I worked in a daycare during college, and I realized I could not handle teaching the little kids. It seems like we have a lot in common, my dh also teaches us History. I have always heard that the cramping can be a good sign, I almost wish that I could have some cramping or something to give me a sign.

angram- our first cycles do sound very similar. What did your doc do different this time? This cycle and the second one I was on microdose lupron (it suppresses you less) and it really seemed to help.

Dakota- when is your beta? I would try to wait, I couldn't imagine seeing a negative and then ending up being preg. Too much of a rollercoaster for me!

cheekskus- how do you know that you have a bfn? POAS? Maybe it just could not detect it yet?!

nikkyc- welcome, I didn't know that they could even tell the sex! I have had a lot of naseau, I have been assuming that it is the progesterone.?? When is your test date? Good luck with everything and hopefully this is the time for you.

crescendo97- Wow, another teacher! I would be around 10 wks also, if I am pregnant. When do ya'll go back to school? We don't go back until the end of Aug., but I will go back to volleyball at the start of Aug. Congrats, when do you have your second beta?

Angram, Hrobinson- I am also from Texas, Houston area, but I lived in San Antonio for a few years. I loved it there.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

In GA, school starts early so the first day of preplanning in Aug. 4 and the first day for students is Aug 11. I had my transfer the the week of post planning so I would have a lot of time off the rest and be stress free for 10 wks.

brit1612 - This cycle my RE gave me 375iu of Gonal F and 75iu of Luveris, which was way beyond what the original study allowed me to have. We followed the same protocol of BCP's and Lupron, but the increased dosage of Gonal F and Luveris seemed to really help make more follicles as well as produce more mature eggs. I grew up in Houston and went to Cy-Creek high school, before heading off to college.

nikkyc - Don't worry, this process makes us all a bit crazy, emotional, psycho, etc :) I'm so sorry to hear about your little girl, I can't imagine the pain you must go through. Well the 3rd time will be a charm for you, so keep the PMA and know this is it. Good luck during the 2ww, I'll be pulling for you.

cheekskuss - I'm sorry this cycle did not work for you and I wish you the best of luck in whatever you and DH decide to do next.

cheekskus- poas- p on a stick or a home preg. test

Keep your head up until you know for sure. There are many people that turn up preg. that did not think that they were. Keep us posted. Do you go in for your beta tomorrow?

Dakota- sounds like good news! Your trigger would for sure be out of your system by now. Good luck on monday.

Angram- it's a small world. Sounds like your cycle went a lot better this time. This has been my best cycle yet, more eggs, and better quality embryos. I'm just praying that it will yield better results. I'm looking forward to many bfp's in the next week or so.

Y'all are cracking me up. Man, this thread sure was busy today.

Dakaota- YIPPEEE I am so excited that you got a line. I have to laugh that you just had to POAS so soon. I want to sooooo badly. Trying to have will power.

Cheekskuss- Hurry up and tell us what it said. I am so praying that you got a line. As to your question...sometimes it is as dark as the test line, but not usually. It usually starts out much lighter. The further along you are in the pregnancy the darker it gets. I am hoping you got that line.

Nikkyc- I am so sorry for all that you have had to endure. It is so hard on all of us having to undergo IVF. However, doubly so whne you have a mc so late in your pregnancy. I pray that this is the one or you. That is so cool that you know the sex already.
Also, I have heard that 5 day transfers are so much more successful than 3 day transfers. So, hoping for the best.

Crescedo- Another high school teacher. And special ed at that. I doubly commend you for that. I am sure that your job while hard, can be so rewarding. So, when is your due date?

Brit- The first teaching job I took was in the Houston area...Dayton to be exact. However, I never ended up teaching a single day there. Sometimes I wonder how things would have been if I taught there.
So, does your husband coach, or just teach?
Did you say somewhere that you coach Volleyball?
My dh coaches football and track. Sometimes his hours frustrate me, but what do you do?

Angram- Yes, driving to SA is quite a jont for us....720 miles round trip. However, we so far have felt that it was worth it. If we do decide to do this again (which I doubt we will as it is too costly) we will probably try to find a clinic in the Dallas area....that would only be about 2 1/2 hours. Not quite as bad.

Is anyone else peeing like crazy? I have not slept through the night since my transfer...so unlike me. I am also soooo tired. I have to take a nap everyday when dd does. Yikes!!!
