Hi Ladies,
We had Back to School Night tonight, so I didn't get to come home and post my good news. We saw and heard a heartbeat today! It was going at 116, and measured at 6w3d. I'm actually at 6w6d, but the doctor said that was ok.

We saw TWO sacs, but only one with a baby inside. So the doctor said the other one probably never had anything in it and is what's called a "blighted ovum." I'm kind of bummed about that, but of course very excited we HEARD a heartbeat. Pure amazing.

Next u/s Monday 10/5. Hopefully this wait won't be as horrible.

Today we were told that all the limitations we read about is pretty bogus. The only things we really shouldn't do while pregnant is drink or smoke. Anything else in moderation is ok. We're even allowed to have sex again! DH was scared, so we just did oral... and it was the best orgasm I've ever had. You guys need to try it! I can't wait till we have real sex again.

dtao- Glad to hear the good news! Sorry about the blighted ovum. I bet you're right about all the stuff that people tell us to stay away from, I think i'm just superstitious and scared that I'll do something to mess something up. Especially the whole food thing, there's so much to worry about! I pretty much crave everything I can't have!

deftonesmo- Great news! What a relief it is to see the baby, isn't it? I dont' think i'll ever get enough of it.

cheryl- The past few days at work, i've been so tired that i can't focus on anything for too long. That's really hard with my job because I have a lot of tedious work. I did see the fetal monitor at Target. The one you can rent, I believe typically costs around $500 if you buy it and you can hear the heartbeat around 9 weeks or so.

AFM- Had another u/s today. Babies both measured 12mm and 7w3d today (even though i'm 7w2d). Both heartrates were good, Baby A 148, Baby B 138. Today i'm not feeling so good. I woke up nauseous and on my way from the doctor to work, there was a dead skunk on the side of the road right by the intersection, so I was stopped right next to it. When I saw it, I held my breath right away, but I couldn't hold it much longer, so I left out a breath and breathed in and smelled it. I immediately started vomiting right then and there. It's a good thing I keep plastic grocery bags in my car. It's not easy to get sick and drive though. I just had to get away from that skunk as quickly as possible!

deftonesmo - thats great you saw the baby!! you must be relieved.

dtao- congrats on your little baby too, sorry to hear 2nd baby didnt make it but its great to see you are ok. I am afraid no sex for us for till after baby as we are terrified, i have a weak cervix and always bleed after sex sometimes it could last weeks it was investigated and noting serious but the thought of bleeding terrifies us, it will be worth it besides i am too tired

JG dont know what a dead skunk smells like but sounds awful!!! I had to go to the bank today for work and thought i would vomit in the queue i managed to hold off but back in work i barely made it to the bathroom!! I am finding if i dont eat every couple of hours i get very queasy esp in the afternoons so may start snacking healthily in between meals or i will be huge

I dont' know what I was thinking wishing on morning sickness last week....I hit 6 weeks and morning sickness came right along with it. It is the worst! I can hardly work for feeling so nauseaus and no remedies have worked so far....ugh! I hate to complain because I wanted this pregnancy so badly, but wow, this really has taken me out!

Ultrasound on Monday...I can't wait - just have to get through the weekend!

Hey ladies,

Me and the Triplets haave almost made it through week six and will be 7 weeks tomorrow. The shock of 3 has started to go down some. I've mad some appointments to interview some high-risk OBGYN's and also had a good conversation with someone who delivered healthy triplets in June. My work has told me they would be flexable with me if I need to work from home whenand if I'm on bed rest. So, all in all...I'm feeling good. I haven't had much morning sickness. I've found if I make sure to eat before I get hungry, it really helps. My next ultrasound is scheuled for October 6th.

Faith- Glad to hear you're doing well. Fitzjr on the August 3 cycle buddy board on the IVF side (and maybe another board) just found out she's having triplets, same exact situation as you. 2 identical and one fraternal.

I'll update the list on Monday when hopefully I can keep my eyes open for longer than a few minutes at a time

Congrats to making it here!!! Had 1st u/s and we transferred 2 got 3!! 2 babies in same sac and 3rd by its self- DH calls them a,b,c i prefer huey, dewey and louie! Anyway re appt was like a sham wow commerical- he kept saying- OH wait theres more!! i didnt know if i should laugh or cry so did both. The thought of 3 is very overwhelming, and the possiblitity of all 3 not making it is scary im in very much of turnmoil right now.

Fitz-Did you see heartbeats? We did and it made it so very real. They measured 6 wks 1 day on the day of my scan. I'm also scared but trying to be optomistic. It took a few days to not be shell shocked. Let me know if you'd like to chat we can exchange numbers. Not too many people in the world going through the exact same situation. Take it easy and realize this means you'll have 3 babies to love, just sooner than planned!

we are just 6 wks now- due 5/21 10/1 is next sono- so hope to hear heartbeats and find out more about the "twins" odd to have triplets w/ it more like twins and the other one, i would def like to keep in touch and chat- nice knowing theres someone else out there in same situation

Hello everyone--

This is my first time posting! I have been following the message board for a while now and it is very inspiring.

My DH and I have one 17 month old son through IVF after several failed IUIs. We are now hoping for one more. I got my BFP on September 14th, with a FET, and will be going in on Monday for the first U/S. I am hoping it goes well. With my son, they could not find a fetal pole and his heart beat was slow. The doc said she was not sure about "the viability of this pregnancy." Well, he is now a healthy 17 month old. That was a nerve racking month that I hope not to repeat. We also transferred two blasts and I really only want a singleton...the stories of 2 blasts=3 babies is kind of worrying me!

I am looking forward to hearing everyone's stories. I think there is so much to be learned from a group of girls doing the same thing!

Hi Ladies!

I have been hesitant to post here since I haven't had my first ultrasound yet. I got my official BFP on September 21st (after many positive HPTs). I did a FET on Sep. 12th and transferred 2 day 5 embies. My beta was 125 9dp5dt, 397 11dp5dt, and 1090 13dp5dt. I have one ds who is 15 months from a fresh IVF in Oct '07. I have had to increase my progesterone since my last level was pretty low so now I am on PIO injections daily and suppositories 3 times daily. UGH! (whatever it takes though). My first ultrasound is scheduled for Thursday and I am getting SO anxious!

Congrats to all the soon to be mamas!!

Dtao - Congrats on your healthy baby! Seems that there are 3 of us now with little ones that didn't make it. So weird, huh!

JG - Great heartrates! So exciting to hear that thumping! Funny skunk story! Good thing you had those bags!

Allie - Let us know how your us goes today! Hope your m/s is easing a bit.

Faith - Still a big wow on your triplets! What a relief that you wont' have to stress over your job - they must be terrific people. Have you started to show?

Wolffie - Welcomoe to you too! Goodness, you are really going through the riggers on Prog. Hopefully you'll come up quickly and they can reduce the supplements.

AFM - I had a tiny scare yesterday...I wiped and found a small amount of pink blood. Scared the you know what out of me! I know brown is okay, but hadn't heard of pink before. It only happened that little bit, then followed with a brown spot last night. That made me sigh with relief. I guess everything is okay. I really hate those moments when you feel all could go so horribly wrong. I just need to make it to Friday to see my little one again on the us.

AFM m/s really kicking in esp. after lunch, usually get sick once a day other than that it feels like i have a constant hangover (without the drink!!) Snacking inbetween meals is really helping though dont think i will be able to eat pizza for a while

. Finished all my meds this morning.
