PurpleFish – That’s great that you’re running! What’s your running schedule usually? Do you participate in marathons? I can’t relate to running, for some reason I could never get into it, but I can relate with Yoga. I know it’s okay to do for awhile with all the meds and treatments, but I haven’t gone so much lately..I need to get better about it. I’m going to try to go on Sunday. But, I’m sorry that your cold has ruined the best-laid running plans you had!! OHHH, that’s a really good idea about putting a mark on your bum.

Sophie – seriously, I have tried for like 2 hours to update the list for all of us. I really wanted to help out! But, I think I’m going to have to ask someone else to take over because I may go crazy!!! So, if someone will offer to take over the list, I would be just super honored. Oh no, bronchitis! I’m so glad that you are feeling better now. Oh my gosh, Sophie, that is so funny about the continuous panty check. Pretty sure that when I’m in 1 or 2 days of when I should get AF I’m totally checking… I am doing the AF dance for you!

Michele – Thank you so much for PM’ing me the directions…I guess I am super computer/blog challenged!

Anissa – ugh. How frustrating, I’m so sorry that you were stuck there for such a long time, but CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU ARE PUPO!!! I am sending you so very very much PMA! I cannot wait to hear how things go for you. How are you feeling?

Julie – Hi! How are you doing? Hope all is well.

Ryann – Thanks for sharing your experience with AF. I can’t believe the one time you got your period was on your wedding! How cruel! Oh fun, a nice winter wedding! Did you have it in Chicago? We had a winter wedding as well, in January, but had a destination wedding, so it was on the beach!

Kiz – oh no! That’s horrible news about your DH mother. I am totally praying for you and your family. How is she doing today? I really hope everything is going okay. I know how hard this is for everyone. Ugh….pretty sure you don’t need any more stress in your life right now.

Bei – my dear friend! So glad that you are jumping back in! No cancellations this month! So, if I say it, it must happen, right? What’s new girl?

McFarland – It’s so good to hear from you! How exciting about your u/s. I am just on edge to hear the results! Please do post for us all! AHHHH! I just love weddings! Have so much fun at your sister’s wedding. Are you in it?

AFM: Nothing new with me! This is the longest week ever…just waiting for this weekend and hopefully AF will be on time! Lots of love and baby dust to all!

Hi All,

Thanks for all your kind words. My DH's mother passed away Tuesday night. She had suffered a long and awful battle with dementia and Alzheimer's which eventually left little of the mother that my DH knew and loved. So in many ways, it is a relief that she is now free of the diseases which had robbed her of everything she had once been. The funeral is on Tuesday.

Bei - I was wrong about the Synarel - I start on Sunday 25/4. I'm not looking forward to that at all given the possible side effects of mood swings, given that I'm having 65 people (DH's closest family - he's the youngest one of eight, so there are plenty of them!) over Tuesday evening for dinner. This is only mildly outweighed by the fact my DH's ex wife is coming to stay and is cooking a birthday dinner for my stepdaughter Sunday night....bring on the mood swings (man, I think I could probably manage those without any medical assistance this week!).

Hope everyone is well and things are going smoothly for all!

Kizmet - so sorry for your (and your husband's) loss. I can't even imagine how stressful it must be to have that on top of all the fertility stuff. I hope that your meds have minimal side effects for you at least! It sounds like it is going to be a long week for you so lots of hugs and good wishes!

bei - I love the list, thank you so much for doing it for us! It is really handy.

Tiger- I run 6 days a week, around 4 miles a day with 1 6-7 mile run a week. I never ever thought I would run that far or even enjoy it. I started about a year ago to get back into shape. The first two months I just hated it and could barely run a mile, then I improved and started looking forward to it every day, it is a great stress reliever. I can switch to walking though so at least I will get outside and get some fresh air.

McFarland - I hope the wedding goes great!

Sophie - bronchitis! wow! I bet you are glad to be over that, I should stop whining about my cold =)

I had my pre-stim check today. Everything looks great and I have lots of little follicles waiting to grow. My doctor is really worried about Ovarian Hyper-Stimulation with me so he is taking it slow with stimulation and I have to go in on Tuesday already for another check. I guess fluid can leak from the ovaries into the abdomen, and cause all sorts of horrible things. Anyone else heard of or dealt with this? He said basically my age and number of follicles put me at high risk for this condition. He warned me that if I did come down with hyper-stimulation they would cancel the cycle and freeze the embyros, because implanting them could make it worse.

Good morning ladies!

IT'S FRIDAAAAAAAAAAY! :D:D:D:D:D Lots of exciting things planned for tonight and the weekend! A nice date with my favorite guy tonight (DH will go out with colleagues/friends), tomorrow I was supposed to have some wax done but my hair is just so slow to grow back there isn't enough so I'll use the apt to have a pedicure instead (gah!!) and my yoga teacher whom I totally fell in love with in 2008 replied to me email and she agreed to give me a private lesson and make me a personalized yoga program that I can do at home every morning. It looks like we'll have a sunny weekend so we'll spend lots of time outside planting seeds in our garden. LIFE COULDN'T BE SWEETER!

THANK YOU for all your AF vibes and dancing, the evil witch showed herself yesterday evening. I've called the clinic and I'm waiting their confirmation for the u/s apt on May 5th. FET should be on the 8th... I'll confirm it for the list when the clinic calls.

Bei,
YOUR LIST IS AWESOME!!!!!! :D:D:D:D I really love it! Tiger, thanks for the initiative, it's great for keeping track of everybody's situation. Oh, by the way, you can put me in the frozen peas section: I'm doing an FET cycle! :D I have already started my meds, to answer your question; as of today, thanks to AF I'm on Suprefact, aspirin, estrace (estrogen) and dyoxin (antibiotics).

purplefish,
LOL, yeah, cold don,t kill us but they sure make our life miserable! (((HUGS))) Hum, targets on your bottom, huh? Do you think using a blue or pink marker makes a difference? Maybe they could even draw concentric hearts, to make it cuter! ;) Congrats on your pre-stims check! :D Ooook, OHSS. I had it with my second IVF. Your doctor is right about pregnancy making it worse, but not all doctors choose to end the cycle. When I showed signs of OHSS on transfer day, the doctor examined me and gave me the choice. He said that OHSS didn't change the chances of implantation, but that the symptoms would steadily get worse for about three weeks, and then they would go away. It was a tough call, but I chose to go ahead with ET. I didn't become pregnant, but I know women who did. Some of them had to be hospitalized; mild OHSS isn't so bad, that's what I got, but severe OHSS is very serious. In my case, I had to drink lots and lots of Gatorade after I was diagnosed. The electrolytes help you eliminate more, and that's how your body gets rid of the excess liquid in your abdomen. I was very bloated, I had to urinate very often, my abdomen was not really sore (I had a bit of residual soreness from ER), but I was out of breath given that my lungs couldn't expand as much (my diaphragm was a bit blocked by the liquid). Everything went away in a matter of days given that I wasn't pregnant. So it all depends on how much your hormones react to the stimming. We knew from my first cycle that my estrogen didn't have the tendency to flare up crazily the minute you give it a chemical push, so that's why I chose to go ahead with ET. If your doctor decides right away to play it super safe, cancel the cycle and freeze your embies, it's really disappointing, but there is a silver lining. Some women become pregnant more easily with FET, because there are less meds and medical interference than with IVF. I became pregnant with all my FETs, and if this one works, I'll have 100% success rate. So yeah, it would be super frustrating and as you to be even more patient, but if you avoid a hospital stay and become pregnant with FET, it's worth it! :D

mcfarland,
Ooooooh your sister is getting married, how nice! I hope you'll have lovely weather!!! Are you very involved in the ceremony? Let us know about it if you feel like it! I'm glad your FET experience is going well, it does feel way more relaxed than a full IVF cycle.

Tiger,
Hi there, don't worry about the list, that bbcode is really tricky! I keep struggling with glitter graphics when I want to congratulate someone and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and I don't always figure out why. Unnerving! I've done several lists before and believe me, it's a big responsibility! You have to read each post very carefully to keep the list updated... It's really nice of bei to take charge of it! :D

tryn,
Hi! :D It looks like I'm just a few days ahead of you in my FET cycle. I hope we'll both sail through pregnancy together; our due dates will be real close! :D

Anissa,
How are you doing sweetie?

rypell,
Doing the AF jig for you!

Kizmet,
(((((HUGS)))))) My thoughts are with you and your family. Sounds like lots of things are happening in your life right now, and I wish you all the support, love, and comfort you can get. *Re-HUGS*

Okay, have a lovely weekend girlies! :D:D:D

Bei - the list looks Awesome! Thank you for doing it for us!

PMAspy - Yahoo for your AF! I am glad to hear you are on your way to start your cycle...........it won't be long now. Sounds like you will be having a nice weekend....enjoy it! Thank you so much for the kind words and I kinda feel the same way - every cycle has gone smoothly with all BFN's and this one has been one issue after another, maybe it is good luck???

Kizmet - you and your DH are in my thoughts and prayers, so very sorry for your loss.

Purplefish - You r my idol...........6 days a week / 4 miles a day  ! I wish I had your motivation and drive!! So sorry to hear you have OHSS! Not very fun. You need to drink lots of fluids like gatorade - it helps with flushing out the fluid. I had OHSS with my 2nd cycle and my RE did not cancel. Of course it was BFN but it had nothing to do with the OHSS.....I was extremely uncomfortable with the extra fluid in my stomach and it made it hard to breath. I had a mild case so with in a few days of my 5dt the symptoms started to subside, I knew I wasn't preggo because they would of gotten worse. So good luck and listen to your RE. You just responded well to the meds! This means lots of good embries!!! Good luck - I will have my fingers crossed for you and I will be sending you some PMA!!

Tiger - Thanks for the PMA keep it coming, it is working. I feel pretty good. Still sore, bloated and my bbs hurt bad but I had all this prior to my transfer. just me reacting to the meds and procedures...........
How are you doing? You are doing a IUI? is this your first time?

rypell1985 - thank u for the prayers. I am very pleased with 5 and need to be thankful for what I have. Congrats on starting injectables! you are well on your way! How are you feeling?

tryn - good luck on your up coming FET! They r so much easier on u than fresh cycles! 4 frosties is wonderful!!!

mcfarland - Hope you have a great time at your sister's wedding! enjoy your weekend - hope the weather is great for u all!

I am sorry if I missed anyone.........AFM feeling good. I am taking HCG injections so my body feels pregnant and looks like it...........my DH has commented on my bbs and how big they look - not that they are small to begin with (DD) I am not stressed at all and just taking it day by day. I am looking forward to next week and hope for our miracle this time.

Thank u all for your well wishes, prayers and PMA............Baby dust to all! Hope u all have a great weekend! :D

Anissabug - Sorry for the confusion, I don't have OHSS I am just at high risk for it. My RE kinda freaked me out about it on Thursday. I was just gathering info, since I figured other's have probably been through it and I like to know what to expect.

Hello ladies!!!

How was your weekend?

Anissa,
How are you doing sweetie? LOL yeah, it might be luck, I sure wish it is!!!! We've had big and small problems coming up with each and every cycle we've been through, even this one (see below) so I guess it doesn't mean anything in my case, lol! How many HCG injections are you doing? It,s the first time I read about someone taking HCG during the 2ww! I'm curious, what's the purpose? Do you also take progesterone? Hehehe and I'm glad DH likes the benefits of your PUPO status... ahem! When is your test day?

AFM, I had a wonderful weekend. Can't believe we're this close to having another embryo transfer (u/s May 6th, FET May 9th). I've been having a tough time with my meds; I've taken them for 3 FET cycles and it's the first time estrace causes me so much stomach pain, even if I carefully take them with food. The minute my stomach empties, I have severe cramping. No fun with you add it to AF pains. So the nurse will discuss this with my doc; they think they'll put me on estrogen patches and change my antibiotics, which could also cause the cramping. We'll see. I'll gladly take the occasional pain if changing meds could impact on my success rates, God knows I've endured worse than that... Anyway, the clinic will want to discuss this with me today; I should get a call soon.

Okay, gotta go, work is calling! Have a great day ladies,

Sophie xxox
