Sunshine- Blue lemonade sounds delicious... I will have to look for that one for the Holiday :) Did you get pregnant while doing ivf or on your own? My obgyn recommended Robitussin for My Husband to take once a day it is suppose to help male factor too, thats so odd that is something that could possible help... How long did your DR recommend you take it for? just day before ovulation??? or more then that one day? I am heading to the health store after dinner to see what they think... So funny thatyou had to tell the Dr what baby dance was.... LOL sometimes they have a difficult time with our lingo... :)

We did get pregnant naturally w/ Robitussin, but I didn't take much of it. No more than 2 teaspoons per night, starting 4 days before ovulation. It's easy to reearch this over the internet, but do ask your doctor first. I also was using the opk, which made it so easy to time ovulation just right and who knows maybe the "candle-light romance" over Valentine's played a factor. Never hurts to be creative and have a romance at the same time!

Just, I decided to have a little fun and make up my own lingo lol, no seriously opk or "ovulation predictor kit" gives you the two best days or that "48 hour window" of ovulation to "bd" all night long. Anyway for those who might be interested in finding out when ovulation is buy the opk- that's the smiley one!
BTW, Kynlee what are you doing to know ov is tomorrow? It's so funny that whenever we are anywhere close to that time, we bd every other day just so we don't miss any given golden opportunity...
Good luck this week to all of us! :-)

I used OPK for over a year when we were trying IUI and clomid. I ovulated regularly, almost like clockwork. It's been 3 years since we've been trying and it wasn't until I started contacting adoption agencies that DH realized that hey, naturally isn't working. But I think he was really digging all the BD. I think we've danced more this past year than sex addicts. Oh my, was that TMI? Sorry. But even with all the dancing and monitoring, I'm glad we finally decided to have those in-depth tests to find out about my blocked tubes. Sorry for getting off the subject.

Not TMI at all...We're almost feeling like that too! Sometimes though we do feel like we're still on our "honeymoon" yet, at 11 yrs we're over the moon, and there's not much honey left but we do try to keep things sizzling. Really surprised that I don't have a "CK Secrets" credit card yet... lol

With Bd we usually start closer to day 10, but I'm thinking now it might be a good idea to start the day after AF leaves too. Plus since dh's S/A was borderline it might actually help to keep everything regulated especially when we do get closer to ov. I hear holding out even a week might not be good for the swimmers!

My DH must be heaven more now then ever cause even though I know its probably impossible I dont give up on hope that you never know we could still get pregnant on our own so its like we are 17 again and trying lol

AFM- went to the Dr yesterday and I start meds for a FRESH cycle end of Jan/ beginning of FEb depending on AF arrival in Jan... keep your fingers crossed for me... I am excited for the new year and the new chance to become pregnant :)

Hi ladies...I'm glad 'TMI' goes out the window because I declare I have no one else to talk about this with. I think all our DH's are on cloud 9. If you let my casanova tell you, I'm ovulating every other day almost so we need to dance just to be sure we don't miss our window of opportunity. 8) lolol!!!!

Kynlee-how excited are you!!!!!! That sounds super cool. January will be here before we know it ladies and we'll be ramped up and ready to go.

AFM-I had my bloodwork done again today along with a trial transfer. However, the nurse failed to inform me that I needed to have a full bladder. And me, in total ignorant bliss, hops up on the table after having gone to the potty twice before being called in the back. So I spent an extra hour and 20 minutes drinking 48 ozs of water to prepare for this procedure. Everyone is laughing as I'm trying to focus and not tinkle on myself. So when I do get back there for the procedure, they've got big bed pads spread out everywhere so it would catch my tinkle. Oh my word, I felt like a 2 year old when she explained that it's perfectly fine if during the procedure I have to let it flow, just give the doctor a heads up so she can move and not get sprayed. I wanted to laugh but I knew that would have done it. So the dr comes in and explains that I need to practice holding my bladder so that I'll have better control when its time for the real transfer. So the whole time I'm thinking, oh mylanta, what if I can't hold it for the real procedure, does that mean I'll tee tee my babies back out? As dumb as that may sound, I have to research how my tinkle comes out because my mind is still going a mile a minute pancking thinking I'll wash my snuggies away during the procedure. Please tell me I'm not the only one that thought about this...
But I didn't get a protocol yet or a timeline really. They just said I'll start my meds when they return the first week of January and I'll have the transfer in February. I'm so nervous because I don't know what I'm supposed to do in the meantime. I'm on BCPs now and I'm expecting my cycle when they're gone for the holidays so I don't know whether I'm supposed to get a refill or stop taking them. The nurse said she'd call me with instructions before they leave for the holidays. Hopefully she won't forget or you guys will become my nurses and will have to tell me what's next.

Paging Nurse Kynlee and Nurse Sunshine :)

Sooo glad I checked on you ladies tonight, because I needed some good giggles. You had me at the full bladder and I thought exactly the same thing even on transfer day...I told dh no funny stuff, laughing or even sneezing would not be good one bit! :)

DH has been on me to call the clinic to let them know cycle day1 was on Nov. 17, and talk more about our 2nd IVF which we are talking about starting everything the end of January. Wow that would be practically 6-7 weeks away and with Christmas around the corner and the holidays flying by, this will be happening sooner than we realize. :D I do need to call them though since my doctor's assistant (who I directly see) will be going on materity leave sometime in January which might play a factor when we get things started again. I'm sure she would have a replacement, but as difficult as she can sometimes be, I kind of had gotten used to Terri already.

Anyway, yes we are officially the 3 Musketeers we have much to look forward upcoming very soon! :) :) :)

I'm learning too as I go through IVF, but most of all we have that PMA and certainly going keep on praying for one another!
I wish you both a stress-free weekend... I might be heading to the outlets tomorrow morning to do a little Christmas shopping, but need to get everything pulled together for next week's party. Cannot believe how fast time is already flying by and the new year will be here before we know it! :D

Hi guys!!! I missed y'all on yesterday.

Yes this is my first IVF and I know my last because we will all be holding our new babies in our arms this time next year. How exciting is that? Baby's first Christmas!!

When I get any news or updates from the RE I post it here because I have no idea what to do. So let's all be sure to keep each other updated so we'll know where each one is in the process. Hopefully one of you guys will start the process before me so I can ask questions. Does anyone know round about when the Lupron starts? Also, I saw somewhere that there's a cream available to nub the injection area. Is this true? Because I'm really going to need some.

Side note...are you guys considering joining one of those monthly cycle forums? Like those cycle buddy groups?

Sunshine- I shopped all day today... Plus went to a Mac makeup seminar, which I loved :) Holidays are almost here, cant wait to start the New year :)

Justsolost- I did the Lupron shots back in Sept, they look more scary then they are... I thought I wasnt going to be able to give them to myself, but I did and it wasnt bad... Just pinch the skin then poke it with the shot it doesnt hurt that way :) I didnt use any numbing lotion for the needles.... I think you will be ok and if you start before me Ill help you as much as possible... You could even call me if you need someone to get you through them... :) I been chatting on a few different ones, cause I started back in Sept, so I jumped on a Oct trend and even though I didnt get pregnant I am still enjoy chatting with all the different girls, they are also very supportive and they know alot , there are some really great people on this website... :)

Maybe in Feb we can all start a Feb Trend??

i think we will get each other through this tough journey, glad I met up with the both of you :)
