December Transfers??

Hi Layla.. and welcome to the board. I am wondering the same thing about estrogen levels. My first lab yesterday showed i'm just under 1000. Nurse said that is a good number but it just doesn't sound that good to me for seome reason. I heard around 600-650 is about 2-3 good eggs.. but I just read that somewhere. Hopefully someone can give us some more info on it and put our mids at ease. Good luck and babydust to you!!

hi cshell - apparently the average is 200-600 for every mature follicle. However, if your E2 levels are too high or rise too quickly, you will hypersimulate.

I have been feeling like vomiting every second of the day - thats why im watching my E2 levels so closely. My last cycle in Sept, after ER i vomited all day and night. Couldnt even keep down water, so i basically didnt eat or drink all day as i was so sick. It was horrible!

My E2 levels today = 4000. I had about 7 follicles, one at 20mm and the others at about 16-17mm. So I more than doubled in 2 days. They are going to stim me (on Puregon 125units) until Friday where i'll trigger that night and go in on Mon 6th Dec for ER. I hope i dont get sicker than this!

Where are you at at the moment? e2 at 1000 is great, what day was that in your stim cycle? they will also monitor that you dont rise too quickly either!

I am hoping to join this group, had a fet cycle in November resulting in a chemical. My dr said as they are both natural cycles I will be able to do back to back. So once AF arrives I will be trying again. Hoping we can all share good news.

im glad ur trying again so soon- i know that its the only way i've dealt with sadness or disappointment from a failed cycle. i also had a m/c 2 months ago from my last cycle.

Hello Ladies,

Hope you all had a great thanksgiving. As for me I had a great one I can't complain. I am so excited for all of you ladies. I am going to send baby dust your way. So I will be starting my lupron shot this coming friday, and I will be taking a medication class also on Friday. i'm happy to be taking the class as when I received my box of medications I was blown away. I saw my RE yesterday and she said that if all goes well and AF comes in time we are looking at the week of Dec 20 for ER. Both my DH & I are really excited. So I hope all of you ladies are doing well. I will keep you posted on how I feel when I give myself my 1st shot on Friday. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Hi, everyone!

@ Jamie~ That box totally freaked me out too! I was nervous about which needle goes with what and what goes in the fridge? I'm now 4 days into my (tonight is my 5th) injections and I already feel like an old pro! Give yourself a couple of days to let the shock wear off then after your first night it'll be a breeze! Mine don't even hurt. Promise. Good luck on Friday!

@ Kyleen~ Welcome! I started on the Nov board too but my ER was pushed to the first part off Dec. I still check in there once on awhile. The ladies here are great too! Good luck with everything this month!

AFM~ I had my U/S to check my follies and the RE said I have a even bakers dozen!!! We are very happy. I am doing low stimulation/mini IVF so this is a great reaction to the meds. Most women doing the mini IVF have only 1-6 follies.
They are going to do another U/S tomorrow morning to check the sizes agian and if all still looks good they are gonna have me trigger on Friday the maybe push my ER from Sun to Sat!!!! I AM SOOOOOOO READY!


I hope I didn't forget anybody, if I did I'm sorry!

easeley - congrats on triggering soon! and you really do get used the injections really fast - it's a bit scary how used to them I am!

Jamie - good luck with your first shot. They really aren't so bad. Where are you located in the world? I'm surprised you have a ER date so close to Christmas. Most places close for Christmas and don't have people cycle in December (not here, since I'm in Israel!)

Layla and Kyleen - miscarriages suck. I also just had one (missed miscarriage - D&C at 10 weeks and it took more than 8 weeks to get my beta hCg to zero.... ughh...)

Layla - you are definitely not alone. I am sooooo desperate to get pregnant again... hopefully this will be the one!

Jamie.. Good luck with starting injections.. Relax and you'll be fine. I pinch my own pinky to relieve some of the focus off the shot and it helps me. Leora is right..you'll just get used to them in not time. Let us know how it goes tonight.

Easley- so glad you've got a "bakers dozen" Thats great news!! So happy for you. What exactly is the difference between a mini and regular ivf cycle.. Sorry I just dont know to much about mini's.

Just wanted to do a quick update on me..so I am triggering tonight.. going to have my ER Friday and ET on Monday. Todays U/S showed some hope with my right side and there are some follicles that we can see now. Still it doesn't look like i'll have as many eggs to work with so my RE doubts there will be enough to freeze. Kinda about that but you never know. Still trying to be positive. RE thinks i'll get 6 retrieved. Thats not a horrible number right? I have a friend who did IVF with the same RE last year and she retrieved a whopping 19 eggs. She did manage to deliver a healthy baby boy when all was said and done. I think she ended up freezing 5 or 6. I want more than anything to have some left over. I guess i'm just a worry wart.

how is everyone going? what are your updates? what are you feeling?

cshell- good luck triggering- i hope you get GOOD eggs! doesnt matter about the quantity, all you need is a good one (my first ivf cycle i only had 3 eggs at ER, i cried so much! Then all 3 fertilised, and we had 2 blasts from it. Then one of those blast is now my 20mth DD!)

I have an appt tomorrow morning to see if i'll trigger tomorrow. My ER is then booked for Monday and my ET is next Sat 11th to transfer two blasts (lets hope we have at least 1 blast!). I am so sore...im pretty sure my 6/7 follicles have ripen!!!! I've also had some brown, gluey/stretchy white discharge...yuk! i read on an Australian IVF clinic website that this is cervical mucous from the stims....lets hope this is the case for me.

lots of hugs to all....let me know if u need anything!!! for me...it helps just to be able to talk about this...thanks everyone

So I had my U/S and B/W this morning and everything looks wonderful! Got lots of size 14-18 follies. So I got to tigger tonight and my ER has been bumped to Saturday at 6am ! We are so excited! They did say they were not sure that I would have any to freeze but I am going to focus on Sat and what wonderful things are going to happen that day! I am going to keep a strong PMA and believe this is going to be our month!!!!(and ya'lls too ) So it doesn't matter if we have none to freeze. Right?

So how did everyone else do today? I hope everything went great!

'Feel a bit like I'm stepping into a private party of friends - I hope that you don't mind! It sure is good to read everyone's posts. I live in a remote area where people don't talk about sex, let alone ART, and have had to travel to a larger centre two weeks for the stims/ER and ET - so it's really (really, really) a relief to read that my anxiety/stresses/thoughts aren't completely out of whack!

We're on our second IVF with donor sperm, first transfer with 3 embies didn't take 'tho we've one on ice for a later date, if needed. I triggered tonight (no more needles this month, yay!!), so we're looking at a retrieval from the 12 or so follies that they've identified on Saturday and transfer on Thursday. I'm a bit anxious about everything continuing to grow through the 5 days in the petrie dish - we did a 3 day transfer the last time - but fingers, eyes and legs crossed it takes. And, if I can be greedy, I hope that we've Oh yeah, and in the meantime, we'll just relax!
