Egg- I made sure that I am off of work on 2/4 when I get my results. I dont know how badly I will react if it is neg. But I also know that I would not be able to hide my excitement if positive! Im not sure if I will tell anyone right away if it is positive, just because you still have to get checked again and then confirm with the u/s. It seems to be only the beginning once you get that first positive result. I wish I had a lesson on how Im supposed to feel right now. I dont know whether to be excited and hopeful, in case I get let down. Or if I should be thinking the worst but preparing for the best. I just dont know. Its so hard b/c I feel like I would "feel" like Im pregnant right now, but I feel the same. Im so anxious b/c on this board it seems that it hasnt worked for anyone on the first try. I am hoping that age is on my side since my husband and I are both 30yrs. Guess the test will tell..

Hey Dallas- I think it is a good idea to take off work that day. Our first IVF turned out neg. and we were so shocked and I was sobbing in the dr office. I did go to work afterwards but was so upset that I didn't get anything done and was just a mess.
Don't go by this site. I have 2 friends that got preg on their first IVF cycle. Sending prayers your way.

I was also wondering if anyone is having much soreness from the Progesterone injections. The nurse said that if my hips got too sore that i could use the outer side of my thigh. Did that lastnight...... can barely walk today!

I started out doing the progesterone in the thighs. Twice only because I was limping and dragging the injected leg behing me like quasimodo the next day. I moved to the rump which has been better for me. I ice the unsuspecting side for 10 min, inject, then sit on a heating pad. It seems to be working out.

My problem which started yesterday had me initially pleased, but now increasingly concerned. I read that a small amount of watery brown traces could be noticed at the time of implantation and that this happens to about 25% of women. But I am also seeing some of this today and wondering about it. it doesn't seem like a period. Can you even get a period on progesterone? Any thoughts on this?

I am glad to hear that Im not the only one who has felt the pain of "dragging" my leg behind me. Im just concerned about how im going to stay on my feet for my 12 hr shift tomorrow. As far as the discharge, I havent seen any brownish discharge at all, but I did hear that it can happen. Today I noted some milky discharge, kind of like when you are ovulating. I dont know what to make of it, I thought that the progesterone makes you very dry. Does anyone have a clue about this?? I've become very anxious since noticing this, thinking that I am going to get a NEG on my beta 2/4.

Hey Dallas/egg-
I have always given the shot in the bum. DH helps. At first we used ice, then massaging afterwards. Now, I hav a numbing spray (was given this when I had to go on a work trip and forced to do the shot on myself). The numbing spray really works well. It still sore at times but no limping.

I haven't had any discharge at all but brown spotting is a good sign. And I don't think you can get period so early with IVF. After my last failed one, it took 45 days for my period to start. I wouldn't worry!
Is anyone using the progesterone gel? I hate that stuff, it is disgusting. Honestly I haven't been using like dr ordered. But progesterone is so high that I don't think I really need it.

I away on vacation this week. Not sure it's the best timing as I am constantly anxious and worrying. The nurse gave me one of the HCG pregnancy tests they use and I am supposed to wait till Friday 2/4. However, i brought a storebrand preg test as well and am thinking to try on wed. morning. Not sure what to do??? So anxious....anyone elso thinking to test early

I am a little late but only just heard about this site and would like to join this board. I had a 5 day fresh transfer on 29 January- 3 embryos so am now keeping everything (legs esp!) crossed.
Have a tender stomach, tender breasts and am very tired.... not sure what this means (if anything) as its my first IVF cycle.
Wonder if anyone could advise when I can sensible start testing from?

Had another scan on the 25th January to see how my ovaries were recovering. They are jam packed with follicles but the surrounding fluid has gone, so danger of OHSS seems to be over!
Clinic would like me to have around 3 periods before FET. Not sure how this is going to work.........
I have pcos and didn't have any periods until I got Endometrial Hyperplasia (over active lining of the womb) where I didn't stop bleeding for a year. So, it could go either way. Also have endometriosis, so not being on my usual meds to control all this is very daunting. Not looking forward to 3 months of agony.

Egg- I had some implantation bleeding today as well. Barely noticeable but light pink when I wiped. I guess I wasn't expecting that this late since I am at 12 days post retrieval and I thought implantation occurred between day 6-10. Oh well, I am taking it as a good sign. Still debating whether to test a couple days early

Qita- welcome to site. Typically dr will have you come in 2 weeks after your transfer. Good luck to you!

Tinkerbell- sounds like a little progress. I don't envy you. Hang in there. If it doesn't work for me this time we are throwing In the towel. You are very strong. Keep it up

Hey ladies. I am new here and am in my 2 ww on my first IVF cycle. It is torture! I noticed a few of you have HCG tests the same day as me. Good luck everyone! I've had a few symptoms, but I'm not convinced it isn't from the progesterone suppositories. I feel bloated in general and a few days ago I had abdominal discomfort for a few hours. I'm hoping implantation! No spotting, but I've heard that only happens sometimes. Anyway, nice to meet everyone!

The 2ww is the worst!!! My day to test actually falls on Sunday, but they dont test on that day.. so I get to go Friday! I hope that those 2 days early dont alter my results? Does anyone know?? Still no spotting for me, only a little white discharge, dont know what to make of that. My stomach was a little crampy today, not unbearable. Almost like how it feels the day before my period. Good sign? Im not sure.

I went ahead an POAS (peed on a stick) yesterday. It was a light positive. I won't feel secure till Friday blood test though. That is a day 12 blood test and my nurse said it will be fine. Day 14 would be Sunday. I plan to POAS tomorrow too and hope the pregnant line is darker.

Dallas, have you called your nurse to discuss symptoms? I personally call that poor woman with all my questions. I called her with the discharge question and she said that discharge is normal due to estrogen.
Tinkerbell, waiting is a pain, but your hope will sustain you!

Took your advice, broke down and called my RN. She stated that my symptoms could be signs of implantation. She said pretty much anything is normal, bc our bodies are so out of whack that there really isnt a "normal" anymore.

I used one of the digital preg test this morning. I got a "not pregnant". I am devastated. Trying to convince myself that it was too early or i should have not used digital, but the faint lines test. But am I just kidding myself? These digital testa are supposed to be accurate up to 5 days before period. Will just have to wait for the final confirmation on Friday.


Such good news for you egg!!! Maybe some luck will come my way.

Layers- I'm so late to this site I don't know what stage you're at so cannot comment but just wanted to send loads of baby dust your way. Everything crossed for you....

I am 4dp 5dt and am also getting BFN on the POAS. So, I'm keeping everything crossed for me too.
