Ladies, id really appreciatea Bit of advice? I was injecting earlier and because im on 450ius of menopur I have to make up two objections. Anyway I depressed the syringe by mistake and lost some of the fluid in the first injection. Instead of getting 450ius I think I got about 340ius instead. Its only day 3 of stimms - could it be a real problem do you think?

I think you'll be fine i lost some of my menopur on my first injection most of these doses comes with a little extra medicine. I felt much better after reading this info in one of the pamphlets i received. So far i have six fertilized eggs that arr still in play waiting on on et this Sunday.

prior to stimulation I had two us to determine the number of follicles i produced that number was between 18 and 20 so i expected more with the follistem. Today i got the call 9 fertilized and so far we have 6 growing. They are scheduling. Me for a day 3 ET which kinda has me nervous.. from what Ive read day 5 transfers seem to be more
successful. Should I ask them to wait? Also im not refrigerating my pio im pretty sure the nurse said not to let it get too coldd because oil can clot, but y would she say that if its not to be refrigerated. The bottle says room temp but now im not sure i already took my medrol a week early i really hope i didnt mess anything up sorry for the long post we decided. Ot to tell our families and friends so i havent had anyone to talk to but DH

Tmiddle - PIO should be room temp. It actually works better if it's body temp right before you inject. The nurse probably just meant not to let it get too temperature abused, like how paint cans have a safe storage temp range on them. I have heard just as many success stories on here with 3 day as with 5 day. They were all 3 day at one point!

Ninde - Should be OK they are going to be checking your levels anyway yes? So they could always adjust if it looks low and/or stim longer. But as tmiddle says, there is usually some leeway so my bet is your numbers look fine anyway. We are just regular people not doctors or nurses, if it had to be absolutely precise to avoid catastrophe I don't think they would leave it all up to us!

Ninde: I agree with the rest and you probably already did - let the RE know and they adjust it the next day. Right now I have to go in every day and they check my levels, call me with the IU# I have to take that day. But I totally understand that you- it would have freaked me out too

Tmiddle: I heard that too that day 5 is better and the egg is more stickier so it implants better into the lining - but it is all up to the egg - the RE checks them and can see if they make it to. Day 5. If you wait and they don't make you end up with nothing and I and lots of others got pregnant with day 3. I assume it is more important that the quality is good and not the day.

Tawny: would make me nervous too, but on the other hand you don't get nervous because you don't know what's ahead


Our family doesn't know it either - just my sister. We are from Germany and I just feel that over there IFV is still something you don't really talk about while I feel much better here - people don't think it is a big deal - more relaxed. I have an ex-colleague they had a surrogate and everyone knows.


Afm: I am feeling bloated this week and hope it goes away soon. I have to go for US today and maybe I have to trigger today or tomorrow- I am excited and hope I get good quality. Too Ease the waiting I will treat myself to nice - maybe one of the last- cup of coffee and a French. Croissant. das loves them too and tries to say "croissant" sounds sweet but not close Lol

Well today it ET. . Im feeling some kind of way anxious of course but almost like im having cycle sseparation. Anxiety. Lol i think its because its time to face the music. Well positive thoughts lots of hope and prayer!!

Tmiddle- Your in my thoughts and prayers. Wow! This is going to be a busy week for each of us.How many are your transferring? Freezing dust to the rest.

Ninde-Hope you got everything worked out with your injections. Saw you called your RE which it is always good to settle your mind. Hope the headache and dizzyness subside. If not I would call in for that as well.When ladies ask questions about stimming i am no help. Seems like I blocked all that out of my memory from my first cycle.

Kiwi- We will be looking for news as to how things are going. Wishing many happy growing follicles.

AFM- Have not liked being on the estrace. Seems to set me on fire every time I have to insert it. Called RE this morning to see what I can do. Progesterone seems to sooth the irritation for a bit, but I almost feel like some infection is coming on. Sure I will have some answers in a few hours after nurse talks to doc. So glad my clinic has a 24 hours line to call. Now the wait.

AFM: not feeling so great. Sneezing like crazy which may be from 3 weeks on the DKW reg spray. But I'm already bloating an d heavy and I have this weird heavy dizziness. I can only presume its from the 450 menopur? Sns on Tue.

Ninde- Sounds like Menopur side effects. I know you can feel like you have the flu on it.( Dizzyness, headache, sore throat, chills....etc) Friend of mine talked to RE and they changed her to Bravelle. She did felt much better after that. Bloating is not fun. Know your not alone on that one and I am doing a FET. I thought I would not have it this time. Guess just how I react to meds.

AFM- RE called back and told me to double my estrace dose and take it orally. Sounds weird to take something orally you were taking vaginally, but oh well. Said not to use any creams to help with irritation and if not improved by Tuesday to check back in. Does not help me feel better now, but will deal with it. Just glad i do not have to insert it tonight. It was like a pill of fire for me.

SuzyQ Busy indeed!! What is estrace? Is the progesterone vaginally too? well I hope you feel better soon.

Ninde - Bloating is the worst, my nurse said that means growing follies...

Kiwi- IVF or infertility is pretty frowned on in my circle of know it alls too. I dont know why it isnt looked at as any other medical condition. If you werent able to cry wouldn't you have your tear ducts repaired? Wouldn't your insurance cover it? Most of the people I know who have their nose in the air about the subject are already parents. Any whoo I could stay on that soap box forever. It sounds like you're almost to the transfer.. Yeaaah!! Happy, plenty, embies to you!!

AFM We ended up with 6 embies two Grade1, two Grade 2+, and two Grade 2. we implanted the two Grade 1 the linings were kind of thick so we had assisted hatching, so now we have 4 pretty good frosties . Now for the fun part.... the Wait, Days of wondering ...did I sneeze, cough,or fart too hard to knock them loose?
If only I could only sedate myself for ten-12 days. Well it seems like this week will be trying for all. BEST of Luck Ladies!!

Hi everyone- just a short post from my side. I triggered yesterday night and my retrieval is tomorrow 10am. Totally nervous because I know I don't like the anesthesia part - hate it. Will post more after the ER.
