Doc office just called me back she is concerned and needs to have things pushed along a little better. Because I'm chicken to do an at home test it looks like I am going to get blood drawn today on my lunch break. But she will probably have to call me tomorrow with the results then she's going to put me on meds to make AF show up. There is just something about me having to read the results vs having the doc call me with the results. I just prefer the phone call and I don't know how to pin point why I guess the anxiety of looking at the stick vs waiting for a phone call.
I have no idea if this is going to push the ivf date forward but oh well right as long as it still happens I'll be ok with it.

Blue – I forgot to congratulate you for the 10 miles! That’s awesome! I would love to participate in a marathon but I have really bad knees, they won’t allow me to run for too long. ☹

Sunshine – I can’t believe it, only 5 days ahead of you! Wow Work was very stressful today, and I didn’t sleep at all last night. I still have class tonite, I just wanted to go home ☹ Tomorrow I have to wake up super early to go see the therapist at the clinic, she has’t been that helpful. I wish Ninde lived closer! I would like to have her as my therapist, she is great.

Tawny - Try not to stress so much, we all have been waiting for so long to get pregnant, what is a month less or a month more? I hope your cycle doenst get delayed too much though, and AF shows up asap!

Kynlee – Awee you are already 4 months! Time really flies by!

Tawny- It seem to take forever for a bloodtest especially when you're waiting on pins and needles to find out?
Oh course I'm anxious just as much, but let us know what you find out in a way it will help you move forward. I wish more then anything it would happen natural, absolutely good to be cautiously optimistic but that's miracle has happened here once before. How are you feeling tonight?

Pocos- I hear Ninde has Skype if you are able to set that up that would be one way to chat with her, but she is soooo supportive to have around here too. :D I agree work has been stressful, but I enjoyed my day off today with Annabelle and her mom. We went to my favorite antique shop downtown and then Hobby Lobby, ha we literally spent 3 hours in only two stores lol. We all got matching Halloween tumblers and her mom and Belles got matching headbands, too fun! Annabelle and her mom used to be my next door neighbors but moved 5 miles down the road so that's who I am talking about when you hear me yacking on about her. I love Belles, Thursday is actually her birthday and since her mom will be out of town she told me I could check her out from school when I get back from the clinic. Downtown Panama City is having a Jazz Festival that night and her family is taking her out to eat for dinner and they asked me and dh to join them. I thought about packing a small picnic for the jazz, maybe some purple grapes and cheese/crackers...love Jazz so this will be a treat! I'm trying to plan something else for her birthday. Today I made a chocolate chip cheesecake so when they came to pick me up for our shopping trip I invited them inside and we had cheesecake with iced tea. Belles was so cute she had the dress I made her two summers ago, I couldn't believe it actually still fits her but seeing how much she enjoys the first one motivates me to make her another dress. I don't sew enough to say I'm good, but love to create things when there is time. When do you go back for a SnS, ("Stick and Stir" meaning ultrasound and bloodwork)?

Maria- Kate and Anna's halloween's pictures are stinking cute, they should have no problem winning! :D :D

Kynlee- Sorry I missed your call around lunchtime today, I'll try calling you tomorrow around the same time before work to catch up a little. I hope all is well with you, today at Hobby Lobby I thought of something that would be great for your baby but I saw it only came in pink and black so then I thought it could be a boy, so I should wait. We absolutely cannot wait to find out what flavor! :D

hi.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm so thankful for your love and support.

I'm physically doing okay.

Emotionally? We are still reeling.

This was totally unexpected and shocking. We are looking for answers, but keep being told that there probably aren't any. We are being encouraged to try the IVF again.

For now, I'm keeping busy for the next few months (performing in a theater group and then we are taking another cruise), and considering doing the IVF again in February. (That's a long discussion. I'm desperate to try again ASAP, and David wants to wait. We are talking it through in therapy.)

I'll be occasionally stalking here, but if you want to reach me, I'm on FB and always available by email too.

I hope everyone gets their BFPs (and more importantly - their babies!) as soon as possible - and for those of us who aren't, I hope we can all find the strength to live our lives as best we can with this enormous burden not bringing us down too much.

I love you all.

Leora,
You have no idea how much I've been thinking about you and David. As I was playing "Word with Friends" with you last night I thought do I bring it up tonight and what could I possibly say to take away the pain, wishing more then anything there was a way to make this easier, but all I know from past experience is take this one day at a time. I'm glad you are seeking therapy and talking about IVF in the near future but more important is taking good care of you to get through this emotional burden and prepare yourself not only physically but emotionally. Leora you are so strong and have truly shown this journey isn't over and that in itself is an inspiration to so many of us. X

Sunshine-- so it was a BFN and a frustrating call. I have to start AF by the 26th or we wont be able to IVF this year. The clinics last IVF is thanksgiving weekend and thats what we were shooting for. She was originally going to put me on Provera but that takes 2 weeks before it forces AF to show. So my other options were 2 Provera or2 BCP for 6 days or a POI. I have no clue what option to take. Last time I started 2 days after stoping BCP so she suggested the BCP route. If this works I'll start BCP again on day 2 then Lupron on Nov 5th and stop BCP the 10th. I'm almost tempted to just say forget it this year. It worries me that we are forcing my body to do something but then who knows if I'll be on time then eigther.

Probably TMI but I am sooo ichy around my whooha . The best way to describe is like a baby rash but no rash it's like a dry ich some days it doesn't bother me and some days it's bad. Ever since my last AF. I know I get dried out from the liners and Progesterone. I don't know if I should deal with it call the clinic or go to the doc.

Leora-- I give you so much props for what you do. I don't think I would ever have the emotional ability to keep pushing strong.

Tawny- Awww I was hoping it was a natural BFP this cycle but that's one in a million right? It's hard to ever know what to do, I hate the thought of feeling rushed before the clinic closes for the holidays but what's worse to me is waiting until the new year comes. I practically begged my IVF coordinator to get me in because I knew I couldn't wait until after the holidays being that we've waited long enough already, but you have to do what's best for you. With IVF if you do decide to move forward this month, I would suggest going the BCP route since it takes so long for Provera to kick in. WIth BCP before you said AF came two days later and this time you would certainly be close to cycle day 45 around the 26th. I would suggest talking with the clinic to see what the billing charges would be, if you have to prepay for everything OR would they wait until baseline to start the contract?
Speaking of the whooha, I tried yogurt this morning apparently the antibodic they put me on is giving me a yeast infection but nothing seems to work as long as I'm taking this antibodic. But I go back to the clinic on Thursday so I will address it then. Kind of embarrassing talking about these things to dh, puts a damper on any little existing sexlife for sure. lol

Greekchick- I think that outpatient surgery you are referring to is called a uterine screening biopsy, but I hope all goes well. Definately keep us posted. Oh by the way I saw on facebook Anton got a new puppy. Let her know we still think of her quite often too.

Nicole- Thank you for bringing that to my attention when I called to order Gonal-F they said over the phone I would get a $100 mail-in rebate but looking at what you sent I need to find out...Here are the details:

AFM- getting ready for work... :D Had a great day with Annabelle yesterday. Cannnot wait for Thursday to get here so I can check her out of school for her birthday. Trying to think of something memorable to plan with her, maybe a pottery class? of course she will tell me we could make pottery at home with play-do. lol Yesterday we passed by an awesome bakery on our way back to her house and I told her I hear they have awesome cupcakes, she turned to me and said but Christy you already made me cheesecake. She really melts my heart....

new ticker for me!

Not nearly as exciting as a pregnancy, but we are planning another 'big' vacation - and we are super excited.

We went on our first cruise last February (to the Canary Islands) and had an amazing time. It was so restorative and so fantastic for our relationship.

So we are blowing all of our savings (so much for a new sofa!) and going on another cruise! 11 days - starting in Rome and going to Greece and Turkey.

Hopefully we'll come back feeling a bit better and a bit stronger --- and start our new IVF cycle in February.

I have an appt with the RE on Nov 7th to plan the new cycle and start the paperwork.

Leora- I LOVE your new ticker!!! Your cruise sounds AMAZING, I know it will do you and David a world of good!
Bon voyage and when you get back you will feel like a brand new person ready to dive back into this crazy journey, I'm so glad you made that decision. But for now, focus on taking this trip of a lifetime! (hmmmm I have one small request...maybe since I asked first you can fit me into your next suitcase?) Anyway I really hope you and David reconnect and have THE trip of your lifetime!

Sunshine - I was just going to ask you who was Annabelle!! LOL I am glad you had a fun time with her!
I went to another Sns (thanks for explaning what that meant) today, everything seems ok, I am waiting to hear the results of the blood work and see what I should do, if I should add Luveris. You should start stims tomorrow right?

Leora – Love your new ticker! That sounds super exciting! You guys deserve it – enjoy!

Greekchick – Good luck with your upcoming cycle!

Tawny – Sorry about the BFN ☹

AFM - I went for my first Sns after starting the stims and everything seems to be ok - but I am a little worried now because I forgot to stop taking my herbals for this IVF (I take Vitex and astragulus) I also take multivitamin, omega 3, vitamin D, Glucosamine condroitin, folic acid, coconut oil, passiflora extract and valerian extract). Too much for the liver with the IVF medication, so I am stopping and just taking the multivitamin, omega 3, and the glucosamine.

Hello ladies

Christy: annabelle is just such a lovely girl isnt she? Where are you now in your cycle?and thank you for your generous words

Tawny: im so sorry it wasnt a natural bcp. I cant help on your protocal im afraid because I dont know half the drugs you mentioned. Abouypt the itch - could it be a yeast infection? Definately call the clinic.

Leora: you know my heart is with you and david x

Kynlee: im so pleased for you x

Pocos: what's going on with your therapist? You said she wasnt that helpful?

Afm: we had our second opinion today. So, a bit like my own clinic, this new clinic things embryo quality is the issue. So, if we go with them he wants me to go on three months of DHEA and COQ10 to try to improve quality and hopefully quantity but with my low amh he said quantity will probably not be helped. This is a problem as I only produced 3 eggs last time. He also suggested I don't do a long protocal with down regging but a short protocal, as in starting to stim between cd1 and cd3 (no downregging) with Estrogen Priming (rather than the pill because he said the pill will suppress me to much and as I'm a poor responder thats not good. What do you ladies think of estrogen priming? He also wants a hysteroscopy and endometrial scrape - again like my other clinic. The difference is I had to suggest the hysteroscopy to my clinic. He would go with either puragon or menopur - probably menopur because of my age I also had an autoimmune blood test done. Like most of your opinions ladies, this new clinic said they would want preferably 5 days and thinks because I've had one miscarriage and 2 unsuccessful cycles that a three day (or in my case a 2 day transfer) is just plain not going to work

Secondly they want to look at Sperm DNA Fragmentation. We know due to my husband's multiple sclerosis that his count is awful, his quality is poor and what little is left don't swim in straight lines! He said that although my clinic say the sperm they have frozen is of good quality that the fragmentation should be checked. Again, what do you think?

The other issue is that this clinic charge €3000 euro/US$4000 more than my current clinic and every blood test during the cycle is charged, the hysteroscopy is horrendously expensive and the storage of sperm is 4 times the cost of my current clinic. So, I was thinking of talking to my clinic, telling them we have had a second opinion and seeing if they will do the likes of the estrogen priming (doubtful), the Sperm DNA Fragmentation and the DHEA.

I know its a long post but all opinions gratefully received!
