Hi, just jumping on Staci's last post re. FETs. Although I wasn't lucky with my recent attempts, I was told last week that our local hosp are so successful at FETs that they are considering reducing the number of embroys returned from two to one. Town is awash with twin prams, seriously they are EVERYWHERE. The person who told me had been treated there and is pg from her 1st FET. I'm not with that hosp but any developments in the field have to be good for us all.

Sprinkles of babydust....
hugs,
Debra.

Hello everyone

How are we all? Enjoying the lovely hot sunny weather??

Well, today I got the call I have been waiting for, Phew! It is still not decided that we get funding but I an accept that whatever will be will be. I told the nurse that I was feeling very periody so much so that I had to take some PK's last night as my legs were sooooo crampy. I also told her how I didn't want to waste this month just because we were waiting for the beaurocrats to pull their fingers out and wanted to get going this month come hell or high water. She was really good about it and said if I came on early I could go up to the hospital and get some Buserelin which they have some spare and use that until I get my drugs delivered. I am so relieved. It means I am deffo going to be a June buddy !! Hoorah :D

Oh my goodness I am so excited and yet so blinking scared. I feel quite strange (nothing new there then I hear Tracey S say  )

I am not telling so many people this time if at all. A select few and you lot of course 8) Hopefully this will be 4th time lucky and for keeps this time. Oh, I hope Katelyn is looking down and sprinkling her Mummy with babydust.

Aly - I am so pleased your donor got you 14 lovely eggs. That's wonderful news. I really hope you get to have ET on Thursday and the bleeding settles down. If it goes to FET there have been so many positives with FET's so don't worry too much. It is frustrating I know but it's best to do what the doctor suggests, after all they are the experts.

Loopy - Well done on the smoking front. What stage are you at? My brain is all over the place right now.

Debra - I wish all bars, retaurants and cafe's were non smoking here. I hate smelling like an ashtray even if you sit in the non smoking part. How's it all going?

Kt - Hope you ET went well? Drink plenty of fluids!!

Kel - Scan tomorrow? Good luck.

Dana - You are very quiet - Is everything OK?

Bro - Not long to go now! Keep up the PMA!!!!!! :P

Staci - Sorry you wont be a June Buddy but we will be right behind you in July and hoping you get that lovely positive, take care.

Love to all

Hi Junebuddies 8)

Just a quick post to say Dagny, that is such great news!! I am sooo pleased for you!!!!!! When are your drugs going to be delivered? It's good they have some just in case so you don't have to stress if it happens earlier... Do you know how long you will be down regging for? How exciting!

Hope everyone else is ok too...?

Great news about your treatment Dagny. Its such a relief to know you are getting closer to your dream. You have been so much, I hope you get the little bundle of joy to keep that you deserve so much. I am sure Katelyn will be shining down on you sprinkling you with lots of baby dust.

I have my fingers crossed for you.
Best wishes

Dagny, just wanted to say how happy I am to hear you're going ahead, and so soon  Excellent news that the clinic are being so supportive and great that they had some meds just hanging around!

Re. your Q. I'm well thanks. Had my first Puregon shot today. Feel that I'm still ages away from tmt, although my scans are next week. I can't remember how long after the scans tmt is scheduled. Is it a week or so? I've an extra scan on the 14th (I guess because I needed extra days at a higher dosage last time) plus the normal one on the 17th. Any idea when, if all looks good, I might have EC?

hugs,
Debra.

Dagny,

That's good news!! I know you are very motivated to get started. Do you start downregging as soon as AF comes? That's what it seemed like from your message. Just wondering since I don't even start downregging until Day 21 of AF. I'll be doing a FET but the protocol was the same for the fresh one. Oh well...no matter. I guess I should know by now how different all the clinics plans are.

I'm not sure yet if I'll end up falling in June or July myself. At best, it looks like I'd start downregging at the very end of June. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on you though. I really hope this is going to be the one for you!

Thanks Debra, Staci, Shellie and Kel,

It's so lovely to know that so many of you are rooting for me. You are all absolute gems. I am so glad I joined this website as I feel I have made some lovely 'cyber friends'.

I will start down regging the day my AF rears her ugly little head  I have to got to the hospital to get my timetable for scans and when I start stimms etc. I am feeling so strange about it all. I just never thought I would have to do it again so soon.

Sending positive vibes to all of us.

What wondeful news honey - I have spent hours chasing you all over the boards and in my condition!!! Did you ask about Ovitrelle - I know I keep on at you but just wondered what they said!Oliver has fists of babydust and is chucking it down as we speak - he has loads spare for you to have twins like me! The only thing is he can't guarantee it won't be two boys - does not do very well on the baby sex request

ALY - FET's are fine - I am pg with twins off one of those and got pg last time with FET so good luck.

The rest of you - loads and loads of luck and can't wait for you all to join us on the other side.
Love

Hi Tracey

I hope Oliver is a good shot with his babydust! I did ask about Ovitrelle and I was told that Puregon is exactly the same. If I really want to use Ovitrelle they said they would order it on my prescription. I don't know what to do as I want to do everything the same as the last tmt. Instead of sniffing Synerel I had to inject Buserelin as there was a national shortage of Synerel at the time. Because I gor PG when I took the Buserelin I wan't to do it again. You kind of grip onto any shred of hope don't you and keep things exactly the same. I dunno because if it doesn't work this time I will wish that I took Ovitrelle. I'm all over the place.

Must go to the shops - thank God it's a bit cooler today. Ahmed has just lost the plot on the live streaming and smashed a load of plates  because BB had the alarm going contantly when no one was asleep. I love EVIL BB!!!!

Love to everyone

I totally understand where you are coming from - just do what you are happiest with and I know what you mean about clinging on - if it worked last time then why change if it's not broken!

Oliver is a fine shot and is practicing every day! Katelyn is busy telling him exactly where to put it - bit like you bossing me around - only joking!

Hello Girls!
How are we all today??
Well I had my day 7 scan this morning, and things are much better than I thought they were going to be after being told to up my dose of menopur from my first blood test. Yesterday was awful, I think I had prepared for every hurdle except slow responding, and just thought not much would change by today for my scan. But there are 4 follies each side, 2 are 10mm and 2 are 11mm - is that ok?? Think the others are smallish. Also the lining is 7mm - which I thought was ok too but have I got that wrong? Anyway, they really calmed me down by saying if needed they will push back EC to next wednesday instead of Monday, so a massive sigh of relief!! :D I just didn't know how flexible they could be and thought I may loose my slot if I hadn't responded enough.. So have been on much higher dose the last 2 days and already feel there is a huge party going on in my ovaries!! Ooh it's definately all kicking off in there!! But I'm glad of the pain as I thought I was getting it a bit easy and now I know why..... So hopefully there will be more results from next scan on Friday....
Debra - Hope your jabs are going ok?
Dagny - Hoping  arrives ASAP!! I am loving the evilness of BB too! Except for when they showed Marco being sick off the roundabout task??!!! UuurrgghhHHHH!!! I can't really look at him the same anymore!!!!
Staci - Hope you can start down regging asap for your FET..
Aly - Good luck for ET tomorrow! Hope all is good for you...
Loopy - How is it all going?
Hope everyone else is ok too...!

Well bye for now buddies,
Kel x 8)

Hi girls
Sorry not to post sooner been pretty upset, only 4 eggs fertilised properly and as I have continued to bleed they decided to freeze them so there will be no E/T tomorrow. pretty gutted as we have spent everything we had on this treatment and have no answers. The consultant phoned and said he ws sorry and wants to do a hystoscopy on Monday to make sure I don't have anything inside me. I feel so deflated ans can't stop crying. I'm worried about the FET, how are we going to find the money to fund it and what if all the embryo's are poor so I don't get any?? sorry to rant I feel at my wits end, what's more the clinic say I will have to pay for more blood tests next month as it will be a year scince the last lot so even more expense. I wish you girls all the best for your tmts and I will be watching, take care love and hugs

Oh Aly....I'm so sorry. It sounds like everything has fallen through at once. I can understand your distress and disappointment.

The good news is that you've got 4 eggs waiting to use. I try to remember not to 'borrow trouble', I'm always imagining the worst and at times like this, it's so easy to do.

Take some time and talk to the consultant about what and when. I really hope you get some answers.

hugs,
Debra.

How dreadful for you - know they are doing the right thing but the mental upset is torture. I know how hard you push to have the ET - I did the same borderline OHSS (not the same as you) and had a thing about FET's and money etc - they eventually let me but waste of time as no way was that going to work! Take little steps at a time if you can - see what the tests reveal then deal with that, then deal with the blood tests - I had the same - could you ask your GP to do them - mine does sod all to help but did do those for me and cost nothing! Next FET's do work as i can tell you - don't worry about the quality until you know - I know this sounds like a lecture but you need to get all your emotions out of the way first - you have been through a massive thing and then not to have ET is devastating - I just don't want you to find more worries than you already have.
Thinking of you
