Hey everyone,
Wow, you guys are all really good writers, I've been really slack!
I was supposed to go for my 1st scan today, but as usual my 1st bt on Sun showed I am going slowly - so I'm going in tomorrow. I wonder what makes some people quick and some slow. I always respond so slowly - I have the record for the longest cycle at my clinic apparently :x Anyway, hopefully something will have happened by tomorrow. I think EC (cross fingers) will be late next week or early week after for me - if all goes well....
Sophie - you are lucky to have so many follies - 16 is fantastic. who cares how long it takes, it's quality that counts - although number is great too - well done!
Susan - I think I remember you from once before - maybe April? There are a few Susan's about so sorry if I've got you confused.
I'm glad a few other people have a drink or two too - I confess I do, especially before ET. Even after I might have 1 or 2 a week - I figure lots of people do worse and have babies. Of course, I haven't managed, so maybe that's not good advice...
I have given up (pretty much) caffeine, that was tough enough. I figure you can't expect us to be saints (and I do also insist on giving up sex, much to DH's frustration!)
Toni - congrats on the job! It's nice to have things to take your mind off all of this sh*te.
Debbie - I had twinges before both of my +ves - hopefully it's a good sign for you!
Anna – are you doing short protocol again this time? Did you do it coz you’re slow (like me?) I'm finding the short protocol better I think - obviously coz it's quicker, but also because the downregging made me feel so down - I used to get headachey and really tired, I don't feel that way for now. Hopefully it will mean I respond better too - that's the whole point. Tomorrow we'll see, anyway.
There are so many of us I can't keep up yet - good luck to all,
Jaye

Hello all,
Well not feeling at all positive today. Had some very slight bleeding and am now expecting full blown af to begin anytime. Just when I was begining to think it would be fine this happens. Boobs have stopped feeling sore so I am getting prepared for a negative result on Thursday. At this point in time I just feel numb. I guess there is a little hope that it will all turn out to be nothing - but I'm not hopeful at all. Just my luck - but I guess lots of you know how I feel. I guess I'll be looking to start the next round as soon as I can after Christmas.

:( :( :(

Love

Blimey, have some catching up to do here

Hi Debbie
I have a friend who had bleeding all through a successful pregnancy so you just never know. I remember what it was like last time, wondering about every twinge - hang in there. I dread to think what I'll be like this time as I was bad enough just waiting for AF to start.

Jaye, I think I was on short protocol last time as I have a PCO but I'm not entirely sure. I had very few side effects and will keep my fingers crossed its the same for you. Unfortunately I'm on the long protocol this time which I'm not finding so good. Went for my 1st scan yesterday and that looked ok but when they got the blood results back they said I'm not ready yet :( Have to go back on Thurs to see if can start stimms then. Jill, I don't know how you coped with 7 weeks of this. Am now getting strange aches and pains in my ankle and hip - feel like and old woman and am officially falling apart. Has anyone else had anything like that? Seems weird that it would be the drugs but I don't think I've done anything else that could have caused it.

Toni, great news about the job. Hope we can both start on the stimms soon and stop some of these lovely side effects!

Susan, fingers crossed for your scan

Best of luck to everyone, Anna xx

Thanks Jill and Anna,
I'm trying to be optimistic but not doing a very good job. I know that the odds aren't too good, given my age. I guess I'll know for sure on Thursday as that's when my blood test is. Just convinced that af will show up in full force before then.

Glad that everyone else seems to be coping well, despite the aches, pains and twinges. Hang in there girls, those side efects won't last long.

Thanks for listening

Love
Debbie

Debbie,
I really feel for you at the moment, but I would take this as a positive sign. I have been reading this board for over a year now and have heard so many stories of people starting to bleed, so they stop the pessaries only to get a positive on test day. So its not all over yet. It is so bl**dy horrible that we have to go through all this though. It makes me so angry sometimes. How unfair for you to be put through this added stress. :x :(

Jill - so glad you are here still egging us on. Thanks :D How are you feeling. Its a bit of a wait i guess until your scan.

I've had a bit of a low day today. Just want to get to the end and I've still got such a long way to go. I started sniffing on the 19th September ... so it jsut seems like I've been on these horrible drugs for so long, and still not ready for ec yet. I have another scan tommorow so hope they will say I'm ready for Friday. And then its the stress over whether they fertilise and what grade they are and then the dreaded 2ww. aaagggghhhh God we are all so brave to go through this. I'm giving myself a pat on the back right now.

Toni - any more raving lunatic moments :!: :!: :?: :?: When do you start the injections?

Anna - Good luck for Thursday. If your womb lining looked alright on the scan you should be ready for stims on Thursday. Some of the side effects go then, but unfortunatly you get a whole load of different ones (mainly a very achey tummy where the ovaries are so much bigger/heavier - well I do anyway unless its the bags of haribos that I'm eating :? )

Jaye - hope the scan tommorw shows that you are ready too. It shows that we are all different. i never have a problem with down regging but always do on the stims, but we all get there eventually.

Susan - how did your scan go yesterday? and hows the mood swings. I'm very miserable and moody still, even the poor dog is staying out of my way!!
Julie and Tricia - how are you? I dont think you've posted for a few days. Tricia you should be have ec tommorow???? Would love to hear how you are getting o (I'm a bit nosey aren't I  )

Hope I haven't missed anyone.
Well I'm off to lie on the sofa and rest my poor boobs - they are so bl**dy sore.

Hello,

I'm just back from a week away - and happy to report that you were all right, the Gonal F injections are a breeze. Scan on Friday to see how many follies are developing and hopefully a date for EC.

Babydust all round
