Hello, I'm back, unfortunately from 4 days in hospital. It all went wrong. I've posted the full story on the General Board as I no longer meet the criteria of the PG board.
hugs and thanks for thinking of me,

Joy, how lovely to see you back. I posted a few 'where are you?' pleas but was worried that all hadn't gone well. Congratulations on the twins, wonderful news.
This thread has Alette, Jude, Caroline and now you - looking good! BigJ is on her 2ww and Randa is limbering up for her next treatment. There'll be crowd very soon!
Allette - I had a little bleed at about 7 weeks, and I was told it is quite common and as long as you are not passing bright red clots (sorry TMI) and cramping everything should be OK. Scan is a very good idea for reassurance.
Alette, sorry you're so worried. I totally understand.
I bled at 14 weeks for 3-4 days without telling DF. I was so frightened and just wished it would go away. It wasn't very heavy and mostly old brown blood, hence not telling him.
After I 'fessed up, we went to the hosp and asked for a scan which showed everything was fine. The bleeding had more or less stopped a day or so later and everything continued well. They did sign me off work for a week though which I didn't need but took a few days off. On telling people what had happened, LOADS of people then told me they/their sister/SIL/friend/cousin etc. had bled at different times during their pregnancy and everything went well. I don't think it's that uncommon - albeit frightening.
Good luck with the scan and let us know what happens asap.
hugs
Debra

Hi Alette,
I definitely remember how scary seeing blood can be. I bled for the first two weeks of my pregnancy, then it stopped. But then I started again when I was at 10 weeks and continued for almost a month. It's definitely frightening. I had cramps and even clotting. Needless to say ... there were many trips & calls to the doctor, but every time her heart was always still beating away like nothing was wrong.
Many women experience bleeding during the first trimester. Most times the doctor can't even tell you why, which is the most frustrating part. But believe me when I tell you that these little babies (as tiny as they are) are really strong. I know you're going to worry regardless, but try to keep that in the back of your mind. Don't hesitate to call your doctor/midwife. It's his/her job to let you know that everything is okay. It's amazing what a relief it is to hear that heartbeat.
Hang in there! I'm thinking of you.
