Wannababy - I am soooo excited about ER. I will find out tomorrow if I am close or not. Good luck with your injections. My DH works out of town all week and the hardest part of giving myself the shot was the first poke!

Lola - Thanks for everything. You are the sweetest and your DH too. I will probably take you up on that, especially after tomorrow. I go in for b/w and u/s to see how close I'm am to ER. Good luck at your u/s.

Sam - Wishing you lots of baby dust!!!!! :D :D :D

It sounds like you girls are on your way!! Good for you. THe good thing about it being all of our first times is that it is exciting and new. Makes it go by faster and makes all the injections tolerable.

I am done with my five day bed rest. I think my doctor is more conservative than most and it was way too long. I actually thought it was the worst part. My back is killing me from not moving so I might be treating myself to a message tomorrow.

I am supposed to find out on Sunday my results however I just found out that if I beg and plead, they may let me know on Thursday. My clinic is very careful about making sure BETA levels rise so they take two (Thursday and SUnday) THe nurse told me that although it is against policy, if it is clear (very high baseline of BETA) than she may let me know THursday. YIKES!!!!

Anyhow I am off.....By the way I have had more than a week of the progestrone shots and someone recommended to massage the area with a hot wash cloth and it has helped emensly!!!

Sam

PS On bed rest I counted my injections.....a total of 54 as of this day :o

wow, time is moving along fast. I can't believe some of us started and some are about to start injections. I'm really looking forward to saturday now.

Sam, I can't wait to hear the good news. I'm sitting on pins and needles!

wannababy, I will be in the same boat. I'll have to give myself shots part of the time when DH is at work. It's not going to be fun, but I've got remember the the goal and that is to get pregnant :) I will definately ue ice. My nurse also mentioned that some women used Ambesol (sp?) I would just make sure to clean the spot with alcohol after the numbing takes effect and before taking the shot.

I am back from my baseline Ultra Sound. It was to make sure that I don't have any cysts in my ovaries before they put me on to stimulation drugs. I didn't have any which is a good sign :)

Today, I picked up my medication from the Pharmacy. The pharmacist was very helping in nature. He sat with us and explained us about all the drugs and injections. He spend 40-45 mins explaining how to take different type of injections and Do's and Don'ts.

We will also be attending the seminar /training from the hospital on various drugs on 10th Aug. As there are so many medicines and its our first time I was really glad that he explained us everything. A revison on 10th will only help us ;)

Hello girls,
I went in for my ultrasound and BT today and they found a cyst on my left ovary. The right one is suppressed, but the left one has a cyst which is almost an inch in diameter. They said it may not produce any estrogen and I may still be good to go. Well they called this afternoon and said it actually is producing estrogen and so my estrogen levels are still high. They said not to worry about the cyst, it is common and it will be absorbed by the ovary at the end of my cycle, it actually developed from Lupron. (it is kinda funny, Lupron has a stimulating effect at first before it starts suppresing everything). So I was put on two lupron shots a day now and my retrieval is pushed back (hopefully by just a couple of days) I have to redo my little snail countdown now I guess...
But I am not really said or anything, they said they just need to supress me even more now. I was supposed to start my Follistim this Friday, now I have to continue Lupron until the 15th and go for another u/s and BT then.
I did not really expect that, but I am OK, I am glad it is not anything serious and I will be still good to go, it may just take a bit longer....

Sam--- good to hear from you and good luck!!! You are the star!

Alicia - good luck tomorrow, wishing you lots of nice follies  , is your tummy getting bigger?

Champa --- when are you starting your stimulation shots? You must be starting pretty soon!

Mia and Wannababy ---I have asked my doctor today about the "lemons" and he said I will get a little bloated but it should not be anything outrageous. 8)

Lola,

Although that is a bummer it sounds like it will just delay you a few days. How wonderful that technology can monitor your situation and eliminate things from preventing this to be successful. I would rather wait for perfect timing.

At least the luprun is an easier shot than most. Hope it all clears up for you!

Sam - Glad to hear your off bed rest. I can't believe you will have your result maybe Thursday. I am soooo excited for you. I love the massage idea.

Champa - That is so cool that you get to attend a training/seminar. I really wish in the beginning I could have had that. :? Good luck.

Lola - Sorry to hear about your results. But there is a saying, "good things come to those who wait". It sounds like its going to be okay. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Oh yeah, my tummy is getting bigger, right along with my rear end!

Well, I went to my appt and they said I have 9 follies and they are growing faster than planned. I have to go back tomorrow for another bloodtest. The RE said it looks like ER will be either Thursday or Friday!

Ok girls, my countdown has been updated, so now I am back to 19 days till retrieval. One good thing about this is that my hubby had to plan his vacation 5 months ago and now it looks like he will be at home with me right around the transfer date. So now I am happy  plus, like you guys said, it is better to wait for the perfect timing ...

Alicia --- it is so true, that good things come to those who wait. This was always a rule that me and my husband lived by... thank you! I cannot believe your retrieval date is almost here. It really goes by fast once you start the stimulation. I will be thinking of you. Just let us know when you know the exact date....

Sam --- I am sending a lot of baby dust your way, I can't wait to hear the results! It must be so exciting. I cannot believe all of us will be experiencing the same just in a couple of weeks.

Ladies, thank you so much for your support, you are so great!!! I am so happy to have you guys. I had to explain it yesterday to my mom on the phone and she does not really understand the whole process, so it makes it harder for her to understand everything.

Lola--I also have a cyst on my right ovary. It wasn't producing any hormones so I was given the ok to begin my injections. I had my 1st u/s and bw since my injections this morning. They said that it is too soon to tell how everything looks. I have to go back on Friday. By that time, they should have a clearer picture. They didn't adjust my meds . Do you think that is good? Does anyone know if cysts can lessen the change of IVF being successful?

Shapooh--At what point did you tummy and bottom grow? When can I expect bigger boobs? LOL!

Sam--Are you ready to beg for your results on Thursday? Do you think they will tell you or will you have to wait until Sunday! Good luck and keep us posted.

Champa and Hopeful--When do you two start? I think I am confusing everyone's information.

I have been on a emotional rollercoaster. Yesterday I was weepy and doubtful that this isn't going to work. Today, I feel pretty good and optimistic. Anyone else feeling like this?

It seems like you ladies know your numbers for specific tests. For what tests do you recommend I should ask for the numbers? Even if I did ask, I would not know if they are good or bad. Would you be able to help with that?

You guys are the best!!! Stay positive! Smooches!

My baseline U/S is on Sat. and I should start injections the same day as long as everything looks normal. I stopped BCP Mon. and today have spotting, so I guess that means AF is here. I'm on my way!

Lola, sorry to hear about your ovaries. It seems like things are going to work out for you though. It's great that your DH will be there for the transfer. That's a big moment. I think it's cool that we will be able to actually see the transfer on the monitor. I'm looking forward to that.

Looks like everyone is progressing really well. I'm looking forward to reading these boards in the next few weeks. I really feel like I'm going through this unique and crazy experience with a bunch of women just like me. :)

Yes, the party would be so much fun, I think we would not be able to stop talking!!! It is funny how the same experience can bring us all together. I feel like I know you guys for years!

Wannababy ---- I remember you mentioning your cyst too. The fact that yours is not producing any hormones is good (mine is) - that's why they did not adjust your meds. I don't think it should have an effect on your IVF. I was told it will get absorbed by the ovary by the time you get your next period. I will research it and let you know though, that would be a bummer if it would lessen our chances. :? Maybe I should not even research it, ha???

Mia --- good luck with everything, looks like you are good to start the stimulation.

Lola - I'm glad things are coming together for you. Keep up that positive attitude, it always makes me smile to read your post! :D

Wannababy - It seems like my tummy and bottum started getting bigger just this week. My boobs just finally started to feel fuller. (I need all the fullness I can get) Don't feel bad about not knowing numbers, I still have no clue even after they explain it to me. Good luck.

Mia - Good luck for Saturday! It goes so fast once the injections start.

Sam - The IVF party sounds great. Maybe we could have a contest on who has the most brusing. Wishing you lots of baby dust.

Well I had another bloodtest this morning and I have another one tomorrow morning and an u/s. Will hopefully find out tomorrow about the ER date! Thanks everyone for all your support.

Girls, I found this video online and it is very informative, it takes like an hour (I have not watched the whole thing yet), but it shows everything in detail. I am going to watch it tonight with my hubby. Go to
http://www.or-live.com/WFUBMC/1477/ and click on "view live webcast" button. They talk about a couple who had to do PGD but they show IVF in detail. :)
I was just kinda fast forwarding it and it shows the retrieval, the transfer, ICSI, and so on.

Alicia, I cannot believe I will get fuller boobies  in just a couple of days, at least there is one positive side effect, now I told my hubby and now HE cannot wait till I start my stimulation...
