Here is a quote from a blog that I found - That seems to be very true. Thought I would share. Thanks to Lisa, Here is the the link to the blog if you are intersted.
http://waywardstork.blogspot.com/ ---- and yes I so spend too much time on the Internet.

Life is often like the Chinese bamboo tree.

It can be discouraging and challenging and filled with despair. We do everything we can, we do everything right, we try our hardest and our best, yet nothing happens. And we wonder if all our hard work will ever pay off. But it's when life seems it's most unbearable, that we must persist, believe, and have faith.

And while this road is filled with heartache, road blocks, sorrow, and frustration -- it is also filled with the lesson of patience, courage, faith and hope. And that with hope, all things are possible.

So today I will hold onto hope. And I will wait, patiently for my bamboo seed to take root, and to hopefully, finally --

Grow...

Hello ladies, my e level came back 700 which is on the high side for stimming just 4 days, 6 days ago it was 27! I am not sure if this means my cycle is starting to go sideways. Anyway, I was googling it and found this article. I found it interesting especially for the woman on here that is adjusting her protocol. This is how e levels may effect us...

http://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-re ... ity-window

Since I hate to read old posts where the links no longer exist, I have cut and pasted some of the article.

Feb. 10, 2003 -- The difference between a healthy pregnancy and an unsuccessful in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempt may be less than few nanograms of estrogen (in mice). New research shows even the tiniest variations in a woman's estrogen levels may help explain why up to 70% of healthy embryos fail to implant themselves in the uterus.

Although a small amount of estrogen is needed to make the uterus receptive to the embryo, researchers found slightly too much of the hormone can alter the necessary genetic process at the implantation site in the uterus and can drastically shorten the fertility window.

In the study, researchers removed the ovaries of female mice to stop the normal production of estrogen and progesterone, which are needed for successful embryo implantation. They later gave the mice daily injections of progesterone and one low dose of estrogen followed by a second high or low dose after embryo transfer. They found that a single second dose of either 3, 10, or 25 nanograms of estrogen was capable of inducing implantation.

But while the lowest dose extended the window of opportunity in mice to up to four days, increasing the dose to 10 nanograms shortened it to less than 24 hours.

Dey says altering the dose of progesterone didn't seem to have any effect on uterine receptivity.

Got all my results in this evening. I still have over 20 follies growing and they're just a tad bigger than before. My estrogen level was a little over 500 so, I have to lower the amount of Bravelle down to two vials from three and then down to one on Wednesday and Thursday and continue as they tell me from what they say from this Fridays test results.

babyhope, I'm tentatively looking at the 18th as well for my ER! :) how did your b/w and u/s go?

mrscutter, good luck on your ET!

Michelle , I am so sorry you got your BFN. Go out, have yourself a good time, a good cry and get back on the horse again!!

Gina , that is cute how you make a wish with the different times. We all have our little quirks that get us through! So, how many are you going to transfer?

Karen , only 2 more days till your BFP!! Can't wait to hear from you!

Well, that's about it till now - good luck to everyone...keep up the PMA's and sending very sticky baby dust your way! :)

Infertility Humor
These jokes may not be funny to some and they are not politically correct.
If you're not in the mood please don't read . . . No offense is intended.

How does an RE like his eggs?
Over 20mm!

Why did the RE cross the road?
Because there was an affluent, infertile woman in her 30s on the other side.

One ovary says to the other ovarie, "Hey, did you order any furniture?"
The other ovarie says, "No, why?"
"There are a couple of nuts outside trying to shove an organ in."

Why does it take 50 million sperm to fertilize one egg?
Because they won't ask for directions either!

You know you are trying to get pregnant when:
You look at your vegetarian sandwich and the alfalfa sprouts look like sperm . . . or . . . Someone asks you today's date and you reply "Day 21" .

Why do gypsies have trouble getting pregnant?
They have crystal balls.

Michelle - so sorry to hear it didn't work out. Like i said before I'm amazed at how IVF feels like such a crapshoot. It seems so cruel that way. I hope you'll keep trying.... take care

Karen - As for your question.... I'll take twins, I'll take one!! I don't care really. There are downsides and upsides to each but frankly I just want healthy...

hav baby - I loved your jokes!

Mrs.cutter - I've been told they want between 11-15 eggs ideally so you are right in that ball park. I bet some more turn up. Good luck with ER.

Gina - congrats on your ET!

To Have Fun - I'm so frustrated for you. I agree it sounds like it's really time for a second opinion.... this down regging thing - do you really have to do it? can't you just do an Antagon protocol?

sorry If I missed anyone... best wishes to you all. as for me just hanging in there ... trying to relax and go with the flow. 2 more weeks until my ultrasound. Wishing you all the best!

Hi everyone

Firstly to Michelle - sorry to hear of your bfn. That just plain sucks. My second IVF was not successful and it just blows. I totally get what you are feeling but hang in there, it does get better and take all the time you need.

A big shout out to everyone else stimming out there (or waiting). Just remember even if you think the your numbers aren't so good or you haven't ended up with as many as you would have liked. It will all work out in the end. Maybe not in the timeframe or how think it should be, but it always does.

I got my beta result yesterday and yay its a BFP. The nurse was really pleased with my level 206. It was more than double what it was for my daughter so all good at our end. We are absolutely stoked. (Now remember ladies we've only ended up with one embryo for all three of our cycles so it CAN happen and does).

To all the ladies in the 2ww I had absolutely no feelings of being pregnant. In fact by day 12 I had totally written off this cycle as all I had was all the classic "period is coming" signs and felt completely yuck. I don't usually do HPT but decided to, just to confirm that I wasn't and we could move on and blow me down the blimmin' line appeared. I was shocked, completely.

Anyway enough from me, take good care and I'm sending loads of babydust your way.

hi ladies

wickedwheel- WOW !! congratulations. that is sooo wonderful. big hugs to you :D

michelle- we haven't heard back from you and i hope you are getting the support you need. i was so NOT optimistic after my first cancellation, and my next experience- miscarriage. somehow i persevered, and i responded the best ever in my history to this treatment this time. we never know which time will be OURS. i hope yo persevere.

mrs.cutter- so nice to hear from you :D all the best with retrieval. 10 follies is wonderful ! and EXCELLENT for your age also. i'm 36 and had 10 follies, although not all were in mature range....

well grateful- you're up tomorrow..then me. i'm NERVOUS but thinking this is my time. i haven't got any signs of AF, which is helping me feel very positive about all this.

JDC/jill - you started stims today !! how exciting..if i remember correctly- i think you're very used to this process. is it starting to feel like 'old hat'? it was for me..

hi chris, babyhope, kinababy, kke, havbaby, ladyj, OK- Now i'm just trying to name everyone- so i'm going to STOP- love you ALL.

Hi All
Argggghhh. The minutes are just crawling by - wish I could be transported to next monday and the beta result!!

Grateful - everything crossed for you!! Good luck!

Karen – all the best for your beta - I think your next on the list right! I think I just registered that you had an m/c a little earlier this year - I am so sorry to hear that. It is a really difficult loss - so now anyway I am so sure that there is NO way that unlucky could strike twice - so all the stars are aligned for a big BFP! Hope those pregnancy vibes are still singing strong!

Wicked wheel - thats fantastic! HUGE congratulations – I am glad what you said about the AF. I know that no matter how often I have said to other people that I had AF symptoms and still got a BFP earlier this year – I got some first AF heavy bloated feeling symptoms today and immediately I am just filled with dread and starting to obsess that I shouldn't be so sure about the PMA I have felt this time around!

Mrs Cutter – 10 follies is HEAPS!!! At my clinic they only look for between 6-8 - or in fact as my doctor said - as long as you have 3 they think okay and good to go. I found in the past that they usually extract more than they can see on the U/S too.

Gina - congrats on the transfer - it is so wonderful to get to that stage and actually have a wee embryo transfered isn't it!! Pray hard and have faith in your body and that little beanie (or beanies!) that is already working hard to snuggle on down.

Sloan - two in the bag would be fantastic!! When is your first U/S? Are they tracking your Beta's??

4th Try - hope your holding out well in the 2ww - your twinges seem perfectly timed for the 7-10 day implantation right? Did you feel them a few days after day 5 transfer? A good sign surely!

Michelle - hope your holding out okay. Let us know how you are doing.

Baby hope - I have been wondering about the effect of E2 levels. The clinic never told me what my level was - just that it was very high, and I have been starting to worry (err I mean wonder!) about whether this would limit implantation chances. Ghost in some old posts did mention that high E2 levels were not so conducive to fertility either. Oh heck I hope all those medical journals are wrong. Anyway we are in the business of miracles here - so anything could happen! 20 follies is wonderful! That increases your chances of getting some good embbys.

And lots and lots of PMA to everyone else and good luck with the next wee hurdle.

Also a question - I know HPT's are totally evil - but when is the earliest time you can actually take them and be sure you won't get a false positive from the hcg in your system from the drugs or whathaveyou. Does anybody know what day post transfer is safe to try??

PMA to all!!

wicked - Big Congrats to you!

Karen - I can't wait for your beta tomorrow so you can announce you BFP. You did't do a hpt, right?

Grateful - good luck today!

Melo - I think it may depend if you had a 5dt or 3dt. For me, I had a 3dt and did hpt 9 days after and got an accurate positive. But I would still use caution. I found the digital tests were better for me because the result was clear. The line test just drove me crazy because the line was so faint I didn't know what the result was. Yes, I went through like 8 hpt before my beta only because I couldn't believe my eyes!

As for me....started stimming last night, and yes Karen, I'm an old pro! Actually I was somewhat nervous last night only because I hadn't injected in a few months so I was worried I forgot how. I always start off very slow, so I know I won't have any news for at least a week even though I'm in for u/s on friday.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day! :D
