Hi All - Babies are all here and they are small but doing great. Baby A (Abraham Preston) - 3lbs 8oz; Baby B (Benjamin Logan) - 3lbs 3oz and Baby C (Cameron Porter) - 2lbs 4oz.

They have all been breathing room air from the beginning and everyone is thriving now. I am really tired tonight but wanted to drop a line to let you all know we are doing well. Will write an update with details later.

AFM...have a question for you ladies I have four left over embies and need someone to donate them to. I had a very nice couple from this site and they decided to go in another direction and of course they were perfect! I have looked at the miracles waiting website but it is sort of over whelming and I really liked the idea of finding someone from this site....I am not having much luck anyone you all know of who is looking for donor embies? I have looked all over but can't seem to find anyone looking PM me if you do or tell them too....Thanks

AFM - happily still here!! no more scary events this week... had a dr.'s appointment and everything looks great... still on house arrest... but anything for this little girl!! ... have to confess... it's getting to me... I sometimes feel like I'm going crazy, but holding on to my sanity any way I can!! Start my birthing classes next week... hope I have enough time to finish them... and also have the BF class ... had to book them so near the end so that my dr would let me get out of bed and go to them... so here's to hoping!!! excited to see people!!

Katie: I agree that it is an amazing thing that you are doing to donate your embies. Very generous of you. I also agree that creating a thread on the IVF and General forums are the way to go. Good luck in your search. I am sure you will meet the right person! I understand that you would want to donate them to someone you have had some contact with and feel like you know somewhat.

ttcnb- Congratulations triplet mama! Did you go off the baby A, baby B, & baby C theme for their names? My SIL did that...Avery, Brody, & Casey. When we talk about them, we refer to them as ABC. Anyways, I love the names you picked out! I'm so glad that you & the LOs are doing well.

Lydia- Yay on the good results of the nuchal u/s & I'm sure the other tests will be just as good!

Felicia- I don't feel like we have it together at all, lol! I feel like there's still so much to do!

kbillsy- How are you feeling? Hope the headache & vomiting are gone! Doesn't it feel good to make it official by announcing it to the world? I remember that! The Vow was good. Of course, being hormonal, I just bawled the entire time. DH thought it was ok...lol!

Maria- How are you feeling? Better...I hope! Yeah, not having a weekly u/s is something that us IVF girls have to get used to. We get so spoiled w/ our REs. Congrats on making the double digits!

bodie- Thanks! I can't believe I'm in the 3rd trimester...time is flying!

AFM- Well, I'm off this entire week...woohoo!!! I need to pack my hospital bag...wow! My shower is 2 weeks from yesterday...March 4th. The weekend after that we are going to get the nursery furniture. So, by 33 weeks, everything should be set up. I had a prenatal appointment this past Thursday. I asked the OB what he thought about me going to a wedding in Baltimore last weekend of March. I had a feeling what the answer would be. "Absolutely not!" was his reply. LOL, I'm not surprised....I will be 34 & 1/2 weeks then. I feel bad....DH's cousin (they're really close) is getting married that weekend. If I don't go into labor before 35 weeks, the doctor said they will schedule a c-section for sometime between week 37 & 38. So, the LOs will be here at some point in the middle to end of April..eek! Baby A (boy) is head down, but baby B (girl) is vertex up high. They've both pretty much been in those positions most of the pregnancy, so the doctor doesn't think they're going to change...especially as they get bigger & there's less room for them. Originally, I was told that a vaginal delivery would be attempted since the boy is down & he is the closest to my cervix, but now the fear is that if they do that, my uterus will start contracting back to a much smaller size & the pressure could rupture the placenta of the girl & they don't want to risk that. I'm a little bummed...I really wanted that initial connection when they put the baby on your chest. But, whatever it takes to get them here healthy is all I care about.

For those of you who just found out you're having a LO (or 2 or 3), have you announced your news yet? If so how did you do it and how did it go? If not, what are your plans?

For those of you who have LOs in their arms or are really close to, what did you pack in your hospital bag? What did you end up packing that you didn't need? What do you wish you had packed? I'm especially wondering about twins, a c-section, & April being a hit or miss month weather-wise.

I consider myself the expert on what you will need in the hospital, being that I was there for 12 days!

1) CHAPSTICK- hospitals are dry!
2) Shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer. At my hospital these were not provided.
3) You do NOT need underwear... I loved the ones the hospital provides especially for a c-section. Even took some home.
4) You do NOT need receiving blankets, diapers, wipes, or other baby goodies as they are all provided for you. A going home outfit is sufficient (and outfit for hospital photos if your hospital takes them...mine did not)!
5) I brought clothing to wear after delivery (lounge pants) but was more comfortable in the gown, especially after c-section. And if you are breastfeeding, plan on being topless for the duration. You lose any modesty you have very quickly.
6) You do NOT need your breast pump.
7) Camera, computer (or tablet), camcorder
Tell DH to dress in layers. Temperature fluctuates a lot and what will be comfortable for you may not be for him.

Hospital bag stuff that we used:

For us:

Fuzzy socks - My feet get cold easily.
Slippers - You had to have footwear to walk the halls.
Cherry Lifesavers - I like having candy around.
My own water bottle - They give you a cup but I'm a heavy water drinker and prefer my own bottle.
Clothing to go home in - Pajama pants and t-shirt was what I wore.
A small bottle of conditioner - The hospital had shampoo but my fine hair needs really good conditioner.
Lip balm - You'll have dry, cracked lips from the air in the hospital.
My own pillow - I'm seriously picky about pillows so I brought my own.
Camera and video camera - You'll probably take about a million photos - you will look rotten in all of them
A book - TV gets boring to me.
Small bills cash for hubby - He'll need some snacks at weird hours.
Spare shirt for hubby - He camped out in our room and it was nice for him to have a fresh shirt.

For baby:

Going home outfit - You probably bought this right after your gender scan!
Photo outfit - If you think that you'll want to buy the photos. We took about 100 of our own so we didn't buy.
Velcro swaddle - We were too new at swaddling to get it right immediately. The velcro swaddle was super easy to do. I highly recommend a velcro swaddle.

Ester- Don't worry yet about the babies' positions. My little girl turned between 28 and 31 weeks.

Longtimer- So glad you're doing well!

AFM- NST this morning looked good, and my cervix is holding at 1cm, 80% effaced. They aren't doing another U/S for 2 more weeks unless something changes. I'm a little nervous because I have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. They think it's all from fluid which improved significantly on bedrest. I just want my babies to be growing! I've only gained 27 lbs this whole pregnancy. Also, for those of you that saw your mucus plug, what was it like? I know...TMI. Since my appt this morning, I have had some yellow mucusy D/C. Could that be the mucus plug? Just curious. Thanks ladies!
