Well yesterday they transferred 2 blastocyst. The weird thing is they told me that each egg had over 50 cells. I was on valium and couldn't really comprehend what was going on. They also gave me a picture of the 2. I hung it up on my wall with all of my other friends baby pictures. Has anyone heard of 50 cells when it is transferred. Is that good? Oh and my pregnancy test is on the 21st. OMG that is next week.

Hi Girls,

Hope you are all doing great today.

Susan, I have been on the down regs from day 2 of my AF and will continue until my first scan and thereafter if the Docs advise me to . My scan is scheduled to be 10 days after the first day of AF i.e. 15th November 06. I am sure they may ask me to continue if the lining is not thick enough. I am also on the Progynova 3 times a day.

I was asked to start on a medicated cycle because I did not ovulate through my normal cycle (after OHSS) and then did not get my AF for 3 months so I had my AF induced. i am hoping that things will work out this time.

Hopeful -in - LV, Thanks for updating eveyrone's info. Good luck with the 2WW.

Beachbaby best of luck.

Jovigal great news about your cyst.

I hope and pray that we are all showered with baby dust soon !!
:) :)

With love and best wishes,

WISCONSINGAL,

We have just tried naturally for 1 1/2 years. I am only 25 and was 24 when we started trying to get pregnant. I didn't know what was wrong. We went to the clinic and after going through every test they have determined that my husband has a low sperm count and low mobility and I have nothing wrong with me. It was and is still hard for me to believe that there is nothing wrong with me. We did 1 IUI and that was negative. I didn't know if his sperm was capable of fertilizing my egg. So we are happy that doing IVF with ICSI it worked. Now I am just praying that I can get some babies out of this.

FERTILIZATION

Post by WISCONSINGAL »

HI - THIS IS TO EVERYONE THAT HAD ISSUES WITH FERTILIZATION.....I DID A THREAD WITH THE QUESTION....."HAS ANYONE HAD GONE THROUGH AN ER.....AND BEEN TOLD NO EGGS WERE FERTILIZED" THEN WENT BACK......DID SOMETHING DIFFERNT AND WERE SUCCESSFULL? NO ONE HAS REPLIED. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE WITH ALL THESE THREADS AND POSTS THAT NO ONE HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL AFTER ONE BAD ER.......PLEASE.........PLEASE..........IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS BEEN GOING THROUGH IVF AND THEN HAD THE ER AND THEN BEEN TOLD THERE WAS NO FERTILIZATION........AND THEN WENT BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND BEEN SUCCUSSFULL, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU DID DIFFERENT!!!!

Beachbaby, good luck with your test today!

I feel much better, no fever, just weak. I had to go to work :(
Non of my embies were good for freezing. I'm trying to stay positive and not to think "what if it doesn't work" because we cannot afford another fresh cycle now. The weird thing is I'm afraid to do the test. I want to but scared to death....
When is the implantation? 8 days after fertilization or 10?

Did they tell you yours were over 200 cells. See I'm a little confused. I really don't know anymore. I give up. The Dr said they were good. I don't know.

Hi everyone, well good and bad news i have a very low BFP only 7.6. I have not to get my hopes up but i retest on Wedneaday 15/11/06, but will not get my results until thursday as i am posting the bloodwork to the hospital for testing as its a 150 mile round trip. The good news is the nurse said she has known a pregnancy from a lower test than mine with an FET so fingers crossed. and more nailbiting days to come.
I did a HPT on sunday which was negative. I am just glad of some hope, even if this fails at least i know we can do it!!

I will post later once i catch up, but good luck to everone and hang on in there on the 2ww.
lots of stickybaby dust.

Beachbaby - Keep your hopes up! 8) It could be simply that your embies were late to implant. The key is that the next number doubles - so try to remain positive for a couple of more days! I'm rooting for you!

Wisconsingal - I'm so sorry you're going through this. I too cannot be of any help. It could be something with your eggs/sperm, or it might be something with the lab. When do you go into for your cycle review with your RE? You might also request a copy of your medical records from your RE and consider a second opinion with another RE. I don't know your history - did you do ICSI? If not, consider using it next time to ensure you get fertilization. Again, probably not much help, but I wish you the best.

Mia - congrat's on getting through bed rest and good luck in the next week! Try to stay calm and relaxed (I know, is that even possible during the 2ww.... :?: :?:     )

I had my first us/bw today - day 6 of stims. RE said everything looked good - 5 follies on one side and 6 on the other, uterine lining great. So, I was really happy, since we'd lowered stims in this cycle (to avoid high e-2 from my prior cycle) and I was hoping I was still responding well, but so far, so good!

Good luck to everyone else!

- Suzhan :D

Hi Everyone,

I don't think anyone will remember me cause it has been that long since I posted, I cannot believe how much has happened and that people are already on their 2ww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I have come back from New York everything has been mad, I have had a really bad back and have not been able to use the computer, it has been driving me crazy so I have just decided to quickly come on and catch up with everyone!!

Also I have had my sister in law and her 6 month old baby staying for the last week and they went home yesterday! It was lovely seeing them but was also very difficult for me, but now I miss them cause they have gone!!

Anyway enough about me what about all of you, I can't believe how much is happening here, I don't think I could manage any personals because there is too many of you and some who weren't here when I left!

I do just want to say a quick Hello to Angellica!!! So sorry I have not posted to you, I noticed that you have mentioned me a few times but as I said things have been mad!! I can't believe you are in your 2ww, I have got everything crossed for you and am sending lots of baby dust your way for a BFP!! and on the day you move house!! surely it is meant to be! I am also sending wishes for your FIL, I hope that things are well!
I will try and keep my eye on the board but it is hard to sit at the computer with my back but I just couldnt wait any longer!! and will deffinatley be looking out for your result! Keep Smiling!!

Well I have got my first scan tomorrow to see if I can start stimming so I am excited and nervous! just hope that all is ok and that I can get on my way!

I want to send lots of luck to everyone in the November thread and let you all know that I am wishing everyone the best of luck and sending lots of baby dust to all! I just can't wait to see all the BFP's rolling in, it makes me sooo excited!

Take Care

Beachbaby, Congrats! ImageThat is good news! Much better than a negative. I'll be praying that the numbers grow, grow, grow!

Bubby, I found various web pages saying that a blstocyst has 50 to 150 cells. I think yours are good.

Wisconsingal, Sorry I don't have info. I'm still on my first batch. It must be so frustrating, especially when you don't know what is causing infertility. Have you considered seeing another RE? If everything was good until fertilization, perhaps something in the lab was not right or adequet. I don't know really. Everyone is different and you can't always pinpoint the cause. Sometimes it just takes several tries before succcess. Do you have a cycle review with your RE? He should be able to give you some answers. I hope you find the answers you need. Best of luck to you.

Jordan, I am feeling optimistic about the twinges and back cramps, because with my last transfer, I didn't feel anything at all. My boobs were sore before transfer and then the soreness was gone within 4 days after transfer. This time I went in feeling totally normal. even though I have been taking PIOs a week before transfer and estradiol 2 weeks before. Today I woke up and felt some light soreness in my BBs. Could just be wishful thinking though. :? If I'm more sore tomorrow then I'll let myself feel more positive. But, It is normal for me to have sore BBs the wk before AF comes.

KF'06, glad your fever is gone. Maybe you should stay home from work and fully recover your strength . Sorry you didn't have any to freeze. Keep positive, it only take one good embie and you probably already have it inside you. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I think implantaion is 6 to 12 days after fertilization.

ellie, have fun picking olives. Be careful though. Don't work too hard.

Hi nicola, I hope they find more follies next scan. Though 10 is still good enough.

angellica, Congrats on the new house! Don't work too hard and no heavy lifting!

Hi cheekymonkey, nice of you to pop in! We missed you. Good luck with your scan!

Hi suzhan, I'm trying to stay calm, I just randomly get these bursts of over optimism. I know it's dangerous. I think my acupuncturist did something to me, I just feel too good this cycle. :)

WISCONSINGAL: i personally don't have any info for you, but will post on another IVF forum my friend is on and will pass on any info! Keep your chin up!

Welcome to the 2ww to BUBBY101, SS, and JSM7502! Sticky baby dust to all of you.

CINDERS: My first cycle i had a lot of (tons of!) bloating and abd pain my 1st wk. Second cycle much less bloating and pain although on much higher doses of meds. Not much difference in # of follies. Not sure why the difference in sx. :?:

JOVIGAL: Congrats on the cyst being gone. That is great news! 8) Happy stimming.

Mia: My boobs aren't very sore, but i have some bloating and occasionally some dull abd pain. I am guessing that would be the hormones (i don't want to expect otherwise--the let down would be too hard!). I have stopped counting down days to PG test-- i was going insane! I am just trying to pretend most of the time that this is a nl wk--- makes the time go faster!

BEACHBABY:Great news! Rooting for you!

Baby dust to all
6 fresh IVFs plus one cancelation
Last Chance FET--- Pregnant with triplets!
