2 out of 3!!!Look Great!!!

Post by sugarmama »

Hi,
Just wanted to say the doctor called today and said out of my three eggs two look wonderful, perfect, and beautiful!!!!I'm very happy. I was just going to transfer one but that was before i ended up with only three. They are suggesting I transfer both in the AM.The thought of carrying twins scares me.They say I will have a better chance of getting pregnant if I transfer both.So that's what I'm going to do.How many transfer more than one nad end up with only one?Hope you all are doing well.I'm nervous and excited for my transfer tommorrow!
Talk to you soon!

Hi,
you know they didn't say, except that they look really really great. How many did you have put back? I only have two total so they are saying I should put back both.My doctor said at my age and the quality of the embro's there is a good chance I could have twins....That scares me.I'm glad we will be doing the two week wait together.I have my ET in the AM.
Hope your doing well,Talk to you soon!

Hi there,

Just wanting to join in with you guys, Im currently doing my 3rd fresh IVF/ICSI cycle, hopefully third time lucky ah...

I had my first scan on Wednesday which showed 9 follies in my right ovary and only 1 in my left (stupid lazy ovary) im due to go in for my second scan tomorrow, and thinking that my egg collection will be on Monday....

We have unexplained infertility, which I really find hard to understand they can put a man on the moon but cant work fertility - go figure!!!

Somebody earlier asked about a 2 day transfer, all of my cycles have been 2 day transfers, we have had poor fertilisation rates on every cycle and have never had an embryo over 4 cells.

I live in NZ and over here they will not put in more than one embryo if you are under 35 unless you have had failed cycles prior, which I have had, so we are going to be putting two embryos back in (if we get them).

Anyway looking forward to getting to know you more a little better.
Me: 30 DH: 34 - TTC since 2002
9x cloms - all neg
2x IUI's - all neg
2 x ICSI/IVF - neg
Currently doing IVF/ICSI #3
All other tests normal

Welcome to the thread Smartie!

Christine: I took a HPT again this morning to see if the HCG is out of my system yet, and it was. It showed negative finally. That means I should be able to test like Sunday or Monday. I know it's too early for a BPF right now, so I'm not worried about the negative test. It's only day 8. I just wanted to see the HCG shot gone, as I had it the day of transfer. I'm scared to death now! We'll be testing around the same time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us both to have BFP'S!

Hopeful - CONGRATS on BFP! You give all the rest of us HOPE! You will be a wonderful mommie in no time!

Jodi - When I sought out Fertility help I was 34 and we were deemed with unexplained infertility. Wth that said they transferred 2 embryos to give us the better odds. We ended up with one lovely daughter. This time as I'm close to my 37th bithday - they transferred 2 embryos again. There is always the risk of twins but 2 give you better odds of at least 1 working. My DH and I had to think long and hard this time around about the possibility of twins but figure that God doesn't give us anymore than we can handle. So best of luck with whatever you decide to do and wishing much sticky angel dust to you!

Janice - I'm sure doing the HPT has been nervewrecking. At least now you you know if you get a positive result it wasn't from the shot. I started feeling a few things last night which are making me nervous. I'll prob start testing tomorrow. I know the HPT's are evil but what do I have to lose? Praying for BFP's for all of us!

Welcome Smartie! Best of luck for many lovely eggies!

Hang in there ladies on the 2ww.

Love,
Christine

Sugarmama....as far as I know, only about 20% of those who have 2 embryos transferred end up with twins, but transferring 2 definitely increases your chances of getting pregnant, so I think it was a good idea!!. I cannot give you much more advise than that, because I would actually love to have twins (not that I always have), but since I started with this IF issue I feel like having twins is a blessing since you never now when you are going to be able to have another baby, so that is why I would love to have 2!!!

Smartie.....welcome to our thread!!! So you are getting ready for your EC, let's do something about that left ovary....let me see if this works
Image...GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!!

Hopeful.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!, that is so fantastic!!!!. What do you mean by it was 90%?? (I never heard percentages in terms of HCG before..... ). But as you said it was BFP, so that is all that matters!!!!! Image

Janice.....as you well said, it is very early for you to test now, but the good thing is that you now know that the HCG is out of your body, so if you see a positive, you will know it is for real!!!!. Let's hope the weekend brings you good news!!!!

Christine.....good luck with your HPT on this weekend, and also hope you have a fabulous birthday!!!!. What is is that you are feeling now that you said?.......

hope you are all doing great!!!

Hello,
Wow last night i had sooooo much cramping and my lower back is killing me, but i am still sick from the hyperstimulation,so i guess that is part of that.
Sugarmama,
My embies are not the best quality, they are 7 cell and 5 cell, so I am not keeping my hopes up too much, but other people here were lucky enough to get BFP with similar quality embies , so we will see. I don't feel any different at all, except that i have side effects form progesteron ( sore breasts and nosea in the morning) but it is way to early to tell anyway.
Good luck!!!
Vlada.
