Lauren 1711--- this sucks so much. I hope you can do something to salvage this cycle. I don't know about IUIs, but for SA, we were told to abstain for 3 days, but not more than that. You want lots of swimmers, but if they hang around too long they start to degrade. Anna got a surprise BFP on a IUI waiting for IVF, so maybe it could happen to you too!

kynlee - not in America, so no advice on health insurance - but I remember what a b*tch health insurance is! I hope you can get a straight answer of which choice is better for you!

nwquiz - happy it's-almost-your birthday! I love birthdays! :D people say that will change as I get older, but for now I still love them! Try to be positive. You may not be pregnant before 36 - but you should be a mommy at 36!

Jeib - nice picture! I love when people put pictures. Sonya (D&me) started the trend in the fall cycle board - it's so nice to see what everyone looks like!

Darlene - yeah, that extra heavy AF is a 'special' present for the BFN. It really sucks. Not only are you not pregnant, but you have to deal with the period from hell. Hopefully you'll never know!

sunshine 12 - I'm so impressed with how fast you are jumping back in here. Good for you! I hope this one is your BFP! Congrats on getting AF in such a timely manner! Are you doing antagonist again (ie, starting stims now)?

Franny (turtle) - you are welcome to crash anytime you'd like! You were fun to stalk - I hope I am too :D

Carol - I'm so glad to hear your baseline went well. Here we go again! I really do hope you are my lucky cheerleader! I am waaaaaay *overdue* for some good news! We told some friends we were really down and sad. Most people tell us to cheer up, or look to the future, or stop obsessing, or something else not helpful. These friends said the best thing ever - "well, you guys need to stop having bad shit happen to you. Then you'll feel better" Isn't that the best! ---- I'm sorry you feel like a guinea pig. Everytime my doctor says something like "we'll see how this goes, and we can always change it next cycle" I want to SCREAAAAAM. Sheesh - I don't want a 'next cycle'! I want to get pregnant THIS cycle. Sorry hon. I hope it all works out.

Kat - I didn't realize you had two chemicals. Those are the awful. So much hope and it all goes down the drain. Both me and my husband have been karyotyped. Try to get your PMA back up - but maybe start looking for a new RE. Even if this one is the best, maybe you will be happier elsewhere.

Kimber - you trigger 36 hours before the ER (approximately).

Rio - I'm so glad your NT went well! Any boy/girl guesses? I'm always DYING to know! 2000 posts! Super woman!

Margi - you are definitely the POAS goddess - so maybe we should share the title --- want to be my "co-goddess"? :D I count down to POAS - that's the only thing that could possibly be exciting. I don't care about anything except the end. If I could just forget about February and go straight to my pregnancy test at the beginning of March, I would. I hate this part ---- the only I ever like is the BFP part. --- good luck with your consult tomorrow and feel better!

Tiger -- I also have no secrets from my DH *except* my POAS addiction. Sometimes I just POAS for fun during my BCP cycles before my IVF cycles. I always hope for a miracle.... anyways, I wake up about an hour before DH and leave the house before his alarm clock even goes off. When I got my BFP this summer, I wasn't supposed to be POAS at all (only 12dpo).... I got the BFP and couldn't believe it! I woke him up to show him. He didn't care. At all. He says that it's not 'real' until we get a beta back from the clinic. Oh well - he's a loser! :D Congrats on triggering --- No advice about the lining thing, since that's never been an issue with me. But estrogen is what we use to grow the lining for FETs. I hope things go great at your IUI tomorrow and Thursday!

Hope/Ashley - I've never taken Lupron, but even drugs that have to be refrigerated for storage are usually kept at room temp while you are using them. I keep my Follistim in the fridge before my cycles, but take it out when I start stimming. Leaving the Lupron out for a few hours probably isn't the problem -- more likely, it's a dosage issue. Yay for triggering!

Amanda - congrats on ER! Let us know how it goes!

krcja - 9dp5dt = 14dpo, ie the 'day of your missed period'. You should get your BFP on a HPT! Go pee! Then let us know!

AFM - 1 more birth control pill! I already took this mornings - I take one tomorrow (Thurs) and that's all! Hopefully for a very very very very long time! Here we go! I should have my first S&S a week from today!

Yay, Leora! Just one more BCP! Let's get this show on the road! :D My RE still kept me at the same dose of lupron (5 units), so I'm crossing my fingers everything turns out well. My nurse always told me to refrigerate my lupron and my follistim but advised to take it out a few mins before injecting for it to reach room temp to limit the discomfort. Everyone has a different protocol, I guess, and there is no right or wrong way of doing it unless of course you freeze the med or keep it above 77 degrees. My nurse just freaked me out for a bit and I just went haywire!

Btw, I did see that you updated my information in your list, but the dates are a bit off. I'm actually going to trigger tonight (1/26) and have the ER on Friday (1/28). Thanks so much for doing such a fabulous job!!

Kat - How are you feeling today? If AF hasn't arrived, you can still receive that BFP! :) I am praying for that. I do think if it isn't successful you should consider changing your RE. You deserve the best care! I wish you the best in making that decision. Although, I am really hoping you get that BFP, so you don't have to worry about this stuff!

HopeIsAllIHave - Best of luck on Friday w/ your ER. I bet you are glad you are not doing shots anymore. :)

Leorira - I will be stressing this weekend about AF coming to town. As it is now everytime I go to the restroom & all is clear, all I think is we are still in the game. Nuts! I am excited for you in starting. This is going to be your cycle. I just know it!! :)

Amanda - Good luck with ER tomorrow. I'm rooting for you! :)

Tiger - How very frustrating! It seems like so many of these places are just trying to push everyone through, not caring about the emotional cost & expense. Makes me want to open my own clinic! If only I were a doctor! :) I hope everything works out for you, but if it doesn't, maybe it's time for a new RE.

I will not test. I have never received a positive & I really don't feel pregnant & so I will just wait & see if AF comes. I am usually really impatient, but for some reason, I am remaining calm. I guess I am just enjoying being PUPO. It may be the only pregnancy I get to enjoy. I feel hope here & there, but then I think I have no symptoms. I'll just try & keep busy until AF or the 31st. I will say I really hate this 2WW. It will be a relief to know one way or the other. :)

Krcaja - You are so close! I see a BFP!! As you can see I am not in the pusher camp, but then again this is my first IVF. :)

AFM - Just waiting... Just going crazy... 6 days to go max! :)

Sending happy thoughts to all! :) :) :) Think BFP!!!!

Darlene- I feel good. Weird though I had really bad cramping days 8, 9 and 10 and now I don't have any. When my doctors office called to check on me Friday I told her abotut he cramping and she's like good that's what we want to hear. I didn't test today and Friday at my blood I will be 15DP ER. I will wait for my beta for my results.

Margi- Sorry your not feeling well. I hate being sick. Good luck today with your phone consultation.

Tiger- OMG I would be so upset. She should know these things that's why you pay her. She has the degree. Yes I live in South Boston. I love it. Just not right now because we have too much snow and we are not used to it. We are getting another foot tonight. :( The aveerage snow fall for Boston is 10" for the winter and we are over 50" here for this winter.

Kristin- Test Test Test. Your positive will show up today.

Amanda-Good Luck with your ER tomorrow.

Jeib- Good luck today. Are you doing an IUI cycle or IVF cycle?

Leora- Time is flying by you'll be Pupo before you know it. Yes I did have two chemicals that were from natural pregnancy after my tubal reversal. I've also lost a little girl at 24 weeks when I was 20 due to serious complications in my pregnancy. They had to take her out of me in order to save my life. She was making me sick. I was exposed to Fifth's Disease and I was first case ever that the child made the mother sick. They call it Mirror Syndrome. She would be 15 this Sunday. So this weekend is a very tough weekend for me. So it would make it a much happier weekend if I get a BFP Friday. Not too much to ask the man upstairs hugh??

Nwquiz- Thanks I will definitely meet with my doctor for WTF appointmnet first and deending on what he says wether I will stay with them. I'm hoping he will decide to be more aggressive. I think with my hirstory of failed IVF's they shouls have put all 3 in me this past time.

Carol- I feel your pain. What's wrong with these doctors. We are not lab rats. So stop using us like ones.

Have a great day everyone. I'm getting my hair done today so hopefully that will lift my spirits.

Franny - Thanks for checking in! It's always great to hear from you.

Leora - I hope AF comes fast and leaves even faster!

Margi - Good Luck with your consult! I hope you feel better soon!

I triggered last night and if you can believe it I was watching a movie and forgot about it until 11:00, and I ran and did it. My appt is 10:40 so no big deal. Good thing I did not fall asleep lol! I called my stupid insurance company today and not only do I have to pay my $250.00 deductible for the IUI, but they are going to count this toward my final IVF cycle. I don't understand why since I was also cancelled in December. I am wondering if it's because we are doing the IUI? Because if that's the case I would not do it. My coverage says IUI's are covered unlimited as long as there is a prior authorization. I am thinking maybe because they did not get an approval it will count toward the IVF cycles? My husband does not want to go. He is saying we should have gone today instead because of the snow. They normally do back to back IUIs but I did not want to, so I chose to do it on Thursday only. I don't know what to do now. Should I just cancel the appointment? The insurance company people are dumb and do not know anything. They can only read me what the coverage says, but they do not understand it themselves. The Ins girl at my clinic just says the same stuff. They can try to get another approval if this is negative, but no guarantee.

I just called the Ins coordinator at my clinic and she says that it is better to do the IUI because then they can submit an authorization for IVF and explain that an IUI was done so it's not like the cycle was just cancelled and wasted. UGH. If not I will have to get $3,000 to do a FET as a last try.

Lauren that should not be counted as an IVF cycle. It's totally differant and the office will be billing as an IUI not an IVF. I would complain to someone else at the insurance company. IUI's everything is the same with the meds and ultrasounds etc. so it should be a big deal with switching it as the office will not be billing them for an IVF cycle. Who do you have? I have neighborhood health plan. So sorry you are going through this. Oh and the storm is supposed to be out of here by morning. Most of the snow is supposed to fall overnight and I believe totally be out of here by 10am. They lowered the snow amounts again in Boston.

I just wanted to tell you ladies good luck on your upcoming cycles! I will be trying for number 2 some time soon, and am getting nervous about it already. Hope all goes well for you.

I did refrigerate my lupron, but the nurse told me that it didn't really have to be. She made sure I knew of the ones that MUST be refrigerated. It will be fine, try to relax!

Lauren- i agree with kat i dont think they can bill ivf for an iui coz they are different diagnosis codes. Talk to your insurance again. And if you were cancelled unless the clinic billed the insurance you still shoule have coverage. I would look into that one as well for peace of mind. sorry all thisis happening at the wrong time.
Sweatpea- am with you i dont even know how to make a signature of myself let along upload a photo. Dh helps some if i ask him to. but then he gets into reading this blog and forgets what i asked him to do. he used to follow it seriusly and would cry and laugh with what was happening. then he just stopped and said i wonder how you guys do it daily? yes men dont get it.

Penny - thank you! Although I have not yet received the call from my nurse yet, I'm pretty sure I'll be triggering tonight for the retrieval on Friday. Not everyone experiences symptoms in the 2ww, so I'm hoping for a BFFFP for you!

Lauren - sorry, I don't have any valuable insight on the insurance subject. I am so sorry you're going through all this mess though.

Kat - how fun! Are you getting a cut? I just had mine cut last week and I really, really liked it until I came home and realized that it was cut unevenly. :? Don't know what happened there; I always get it cut from the same hairstylist. But oh well. I had too many split ends that I had to get rid of. I was losing too much hair from brushing my hair because of the split ends. It's soo much better now! Would love to see a pic of you once you figure out how to upload a pic on this site. The way I did mine was (I'm sure there are easier or better ways), but I uploaded my pic on facebook, and then copied that link and pasted it in between the in the signature. Does that make sense?

Brit - thanks. I think I'm okay with the lupron. My only worry now is to hopefully not ovulate before my ER. Waiting on my lab results from today.. When do you think you'll be starting your #2?

AFM - had my S&S this morning. I think I'm ready to trigger tonight. I have 2 16's, 3 17's, 2 20's, 2 21's, and 1 23. Plus 1 15 and 2 14's which may have some hope. Plus, I have a few smaller ones, but I think they're a lost cause. Another question for you ladies.. I woke up with EXTREMELY sore breasts today. Is that only because of my high estrogen levels or is that more of a reason for me to worry about ovulating before ER? I'm waiting on my E2 and P4 results from my nurse. She usually calls me in the late afternoon, so it'll be a while. I can totally feel the pressure in my lower abdomen, which has not been fun. I guess it's a micro dose of what it will be like when I'm finally prego. Looking forward to it!

Hope- I am not sure yet. The goal was to be able to do it first thing this summer, but I don't know if finances are going to let us. My clinic helped out a lot on cost for the first one, but won't do it now that we have a baby. I know I am so lucky to have one, and I think I want number 2 mainly for my little boy's sake. My husband and I both have good relationships with our siblings and can't imagine him not having that experience.

You can add a signature, or alter it, by clicking on the "User Control Panel" in the upper left corner. They click on the "Profile" tab and to the right you will see "edit signature"... there you can add what you want. It took some trial and error for me. I just don't have a picture I want to add right now! LOL

ok thanks guys. I just went to image shack and uploaded my picture than copied direct link inbetween (img) (img). I tried shrinking the picture. But whoa that's big. It's also an old pic. I need to find somethign more recent but I don't have any on my work computer at the moment. My hair is short and blonde now;) Found one and just fixed it. DH doesn't look so hot in this pic and he would probably kill me if he saw this one. hehe. We were all at a friends 30th and pretty drunk.

I'm stimming for IVF. From this morning's bloodwork and U/S, i have one follie at 14mm and a few others ranging from 10-12mm. i have to go back tomorrow...they want to keep a close eye on me. i just hope that this snow storm won't prevent me from going in. but if all goes well, i might trigger on friday (1/28) and retrieval on sunday.

Kat - sorry to hear about your struggles when you were younger. you are definately a strong woman. the higher being above work in mysterious ways, so keep the faith...have fun at the hairdresser. that should be relaxing!

Leora - thanks for the compliment...its the same pic as the one i use for my facebook. and i agree that it's nice to connect names with faces. Good luck on your S&S next week!
