Welcome AMC. You'll find the girls on here so great. So nice that Shantala invited you across. Not done a FET although do have 6 snow babies waiting for me from cycle 1. We decided to do another Fresh cycle whilst I was not working so hard. Lots of the ladies are doing FETs as you will have seen so you'll be in good company. And you get to start soooooo soon which is great.

My XFactor pals - Loved the show last night. If that did not distract me for a few hours then nothing will!! Thought that Leona was outstanding & Ray was v good too. Thought that Ben's Queen song was clever but not sure that it was a vote pleaser. So relieved that the Scots boys have finally gone. They had well outstayed their welcome!!! Excited about next week already and not just as I'll have only 3 days left to wait!!!!

Susan & Angie - wonder who will succumb to the evil pee sticks first!!!??? Have a box in the drawer by my bed. Figure that I must not give in before next Saturday at the earliest. That will be 9 days post 2 day transfer. That is the day that I am most scared of as it is when I gave into a HPT last time and then started spotting that day too. I feel hardly anything at all other than a little bit of cramping in my tummy.

To the ladies on stimmies, I so hope that you are all growing lots of lovely follies. Folly fairy to each of you

To those on BCP & Lupron -hope that you are all doing ok and not feeling too headachy. You are getting there!

For those on countdown, I hope that the thought of Xmas and getting fully prepared means that this month will whizz by.

To the ladies who are waiting, I hope that you'll all have good firm plans soon. Fingers crossed for you all

Wrote all my Xmas cards yesterday so that took most of the afternoon sat on the sofa. I may wrap some gifts today.............

Dh is going to take me into town tomorrow so that I can do a little work with my friends at their offices. I just think that if I sit at home all week that I will go mental - make that even more mental. I have not been out the house since ET. Will take it pretty easy and will be sat down all day at my pc. Cannot believe it when I look at my ticker and see that we'll know if this worked in 9 days time and against that have no idea how I can keep cool for the next 9 days!!!!!

Welcome AMC - you've certainly come to the right place for support, a few laughs and loads of PMA.

Carolyn - i was glued last night to xfactor and really loved Ray and Leona. Have to admit Ben didn't do it for me last night (sorry Becky ) and the macdonald bros never have so i was pleased that they went last night. Leona is incredible - I'm up for her winning. Although I think that they all have their comfort zones.

sounds like your DH is being an angel for you - how lovely to be waited on hand and foot!!

I know everyone is different on their 2ww, but to share my experience, I had no symptons at all apart sore b@@bs (but probably becuase I was touching myself up every 5mins to see if they were still sore... )

I named my embies bill & ben and we spoke to them each night and i'm sure it did the trick!

Christine - I hope yr hubby is feeling a little better today. They are not good with this sort of thing, I'm just thankfully its not mine that has to undergo IVF - he would never survive!!

Dory - Really sorry to hear about your results - I wish you well in whatever you decide to do in the future. Take care big hugs xx

Jackie - good olde AF, she never behaves as she is susposed to but atleast she arrived.

Well, I spoke to DH last night and we will be waiting for the next cycle to start.

I feel better about this because it will give me more time to get ready mentally and physically. My cycle is only about 24-25 days, so I should start BCP's the end of dec. This will only push things back about 3 weeks.
They may just start me on stims 1st anyway instaed of BCP which would keep me on the same cycle.

Carolyn, Im praying hard for you!! BFP!!

AMC- welcome. This is a great place for you.

Nimble- What is the plan for you? Will you be cycling again? We can be cycle buddies

Angie and Susan- Good luck to you. Not too much longer now.

Well I had my blood draw and u/s on Friday. My regular dr wasn’t there and I had another dr that I really didn’t care for. He was really rough with the internal ultra sound. "I am like guy my uterus is attached to the rest of my body can we take it down a notch!!"

The eggs seem like they are growing a little slow and we might push back the e/c a couple of days. They kept me on the same protocol and I have another dr appt on Monday and another round of blood tests and u/s.

Carolyn: So glad that you are relaxing and being a lady of leisure but it is also nice to get out of the house and get your mind off things. It’s nice that your dh is taking care of you! Keep those little ones warm!

TC: Glad to hear things went ok for the DH. I can only imagine my husband going through that. He thinks the world is ending when he has a hang nail!

AMC: A great big welcome! You will love it on this thread!

Aunty: I loved you’re “my space”! It is very creative! Great to put a face with a name!

Another DR. Appt on Monday! I should have a better idea when the e/c is. I really hope it is going to be this week!

Sonya im sorry you had a bad Dr there is always one of those isnt there...i wouldnt worry too much about your eggs mine do that seem to be slow and stall sometimes but they come through in the end hopefuly monday you will get someone nicer with the wand and you will see a great change in your follies

Leona's voice almost brought tears to my eyes, she is amazing! I can't wait for next Sat! I am so sad I even watched the repeat show today!! What will we do when it finishes?

Angie - trust me you do not want to be over here in the cold. The summer sounds far better to me. I hardly slept a wink last night between the howling winds and lashing rain, it's awful at the moment!

Aunty- happy shopping, wow I would love to be shopping right now in NY buying lots of xmas gifts!

Rachel - DH enjoyed that rally, I didn't go and I'm glad cos they slept in his car last night, can you imagine?? It was bad enough being surrounded by bricks with all the wind and rain! There was one point when I thought the roof was going to collapse! Hope you enjoyed your weekend

Aunty Debz, looks like we will be cycling very close again honey. I am really chuffed(Happy)about that. My AF turned up early this month so I am on day 2 today. I will start down regulation in 19 days and then should start stimming about 4th Jan hopefully, all been well and everything. I am really excited about doing this long protocol as I am used to doing the short one and you don't get as many eggs from that. I hope I get a few this time.

I'm still catching up on all the stories etc at the moment so hopefully some personals in the next few days.

On a positive note I booked our summer holiday today. 2 weeks in El Toro, Majorca in June. My stepdaughter is an airhostess for First Choice and she booked us a gorgeous hotel where they recommend. Very romantic setting. And of course the family discount helps. She's a real sweetheart. I am really excited and of course it helps to keep me focused beyond the IVF.

Thanks for all ur well wishes for my new job - I DONT WANNA GO I dont want to be a full timer lol - i enjoyed comming home at 1pm and lazing the rest of the day - and having a nosey on here, chatting with my friends, shopping! How am i going to manage not being able to do all these things!
Oh well - i suppose it has to be done doesnt it. If we were gonna have one more try at the IVF then i wouldnt have taken on a full time job - jeeeeze 8.30 - 5.30 - i have to leave the house at 7.45AM and wont get home till at least 6.15PM

Lucky ive got all the xmas shopping done And the wrapping - and my xmas cards and the tree (s) are up. I say Trees cos i have 4 LOL. has anyone seen that Baileys advert - where he is mixing the baileys with ice and she is putting up a humunguos amount of xmas decorations, and he says to her - i tht u was keeping it quiet and simple this year to which she replies, i am dear - well thats what its like in our house LOL. I love xmas, i have a tree in the hall, in the lioving room, in the dinning room and one on the porch - its like santas grotto in the house with singing santas and reindeers and anything else i can get my hands on. DH has already had to go thru one set of lights cos they blew LOL - i dread if any others go lol.

Hi! I'm new to this site and new to IVF. I had my retrieval done on Friday, 10 eggs, 7 fertilized with ICSI. We are planning to do the transfer on Wednesday.

I have a two year-old DS, conceived with Clomid/IUI.
