Well Dh and I got home about 15 minutes ago. The transfer went well, but we didnt receive the best news...apparnetly my eggs all looked a little strange the day of retrieval. They had a crater look to them. The embryologist didnt know what it was, but they think if I do another cycle they will change my stimming meds. Anyway, they werent too optimistic on day 2 and 3 with the progress of the embies. Luckily some pulled through. We transfer one grade D blast--which is the best, one grade C blast and one grade B blast. I have a grade A blast and one other that is almost too blast...they have to progress a little further before they can freeze them. We are really hoping that they will be able to freeze them, but we'll know tomorrow. I asked alot of questions today becasue I just didnt understand why I had such a poor result with the embies....The Re was also surprised....I may have poor egg quality also, but they said they dont know at this point. They are still really optimistic for the transfer today because of the D & C Blasts...so we'll see. The transfer itseld was easy, it just really sucks to have that full bladder   I hate that! It was great when they put that cath in! :D So now I have three beautiful embies inside me...hopefully they will grow and implant! Sorry for the long post....My Test DAY is FEB4th

TammyS--how was your trigger shot?? Good luck tomorrow!

Washingtonda- Today is your day :D

Esperanza-- only one more day!!!

Colesmom- When is your ET??

CT Michele-- did you freeze the other two??

Girls,

I freaked out this morning. I was taking a shower and all of a sudden I felt nauseas and almost fainted. Mu hubby had to drag me out of there...
I took my 3rd hcg booster shot (1500units) last night and it can make you "feel" pregnant, so is that what a morning sickness feels like? It was terrible, I couldnt finish washing my hair, I couldnt do anything.
I am totally ok now and wondering how many days after 3day transfer morning sickness really kick in. Does anyone know?

Washigtonda, we are waiting for the good news...

Oh, one more thing, my friend who was supposed to do her 3rd and last ivf in jan and be my ivf buddy, got preganant naturally last month!! Isnt it amazing? Miracles do happen!! I am so happy for her.

Washingtonda- Congrats on the official news. That is a great first beta number.

Neffi- Due to finances, my dh and I chose not to freeze. It was such a hard decision though. We discussed it for a long time and knew that we would have to be ok with our decision regardless of the outcome of our pregnancy test. We just kept in mind, that in the wonderful state of CT, we would have one more fresh cycle fully paid by insurance, and we were ok with doing another fresh cycle if we had to.

Esperanza- Good luck tomorrow. Have you done any hpt's or have you avoided them?

Unexplained- sorry you haven't felt so good. My doc said most people don't have pregnancy sickness until around 6 weeks, but I think everyone is different. I had a 3 day transfer and felt crummy for the first couple of days, but then I felt completely normal, like nothing had happened. It wasn't until right around 6 weeks I started feeling crummy again.

I don't remember who asked, but adding 2 weeks to your ER date is about right for how pregnant you are. My ER was on 12/11, which was about 6 weeks ago and I am about 8 weeks pregnant now.

Also, to someone who asked about first u/s- I had my first beta on 12/26 and my first u/s was on 1/8, so about two weeks after your first beta.

I could not be happer for you, congrats on your BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also at Shady Grove, out of Frederick and Rockville. My ET was 01/19/08 (it was a two day tranfer, 2 embryos tranferred).

I see that you had your test 11 days after ET, is that due to doing a 6 day blast? I just wondered, my normal two weeks is up 02/02, but since they are not open for beta tests on weekend, I have to wait until 02/04 for my test.

Did you have any symptoms? When did you take your first HPT?

As if everyone didn't know already, 2ww stinks!

Hi Ladies,

Washingtonda - Congratulations again and great number!

esparenza - Praying hard for your BFP tomorrow!

Unexplained - OMG, I'm glad DH was there for you today. I have felt a little dizzy but not like that. I'm sure it just a side affect of the booster. Congratulations to your friend, it will be awesome for you ladies to be preggo together!

Neffi - So, glad you have your embies back with you, snuggling in. I will still be around rooting for you.

TammyS - Yeah retreival soon!! So happy for you girl, enjoy your free shot day!

As for me, I had my final visit to my RE. They gave me a little silver spoon for the baby, all of us was crying before we were done. I truly bonded with my nurse and RE. My baby looked awesome today....hb is 167 and he/she is measuring right on time, wish my scanner was up to post. I am so blessed and I say thank you everyday.

Praying for all the mommies, stimming ladies, and ladies in waiting! Our prayers will be answered soon.

Baby dust ladies!

Thanks girls.

For the girls that go to Shady Grove. What they told me is that they test 18 days of ER. My ER was Jan 7 and I tested on the 24th.

My second beta is scheduled for Monday. They usuaully do two days but they do not do betas on the weekend so Monday is it. They said that I will come on Monday and than again on Wednesday. I guess I'll find out on Wednesday what is next.

They aslo switched me from the shots to the Progestron suppositories two times a day starting tomorrow. They said this is to do away with the shots after going through so many of them through the cycle. The shots never bothered me so I was happy with them. I was told those suppositories were a mess.

As far as symptoms this is how it went for me:

The first 3 days there was nothing. No cramps no nothing. I was really worried. After that there was a bunch of cramping in the right side and than I started to have intermittent cramps in both sides just about every day up until testing. This past Monday I got implantation bleeding that evening and it lasted until late the next day. Breast nips were very sensitive and purky. Occassionally had some pulling very low in my abdoman on the low sides. I sleep alot anyway so I noticed no difference there. I was not able to sleep at all at night. Would wake up and it was very hard to go back to sleep. I also started to have dreams at night and I don't know when the last time I had a dream before now.

Hope this helps.

Espeanza my dear. Wishing you luck and love for tomorrow.

Hey ladies-

Just wanted to inform you all about a pretty cool website that my dh found during the time we were going through al the beta tests.

http://babymed.com/tools/pregnancy/hcg/

This is an hcg calculator. You put in your first beta test and your days past ovulation (which I believe date of ovulation is the same as ER). Then you put in your second hcg number and the number of days in between your two tests. When you submit the info, it will show you high and low values of singleton pregnancies and it will give you your doubling time and all sorts of other numbers. It was pretty cool, we used it after every beta test to compare our numbers. I know all of us are different, but I don't think us women can help but wonder if our numbers are average or not. So have fun with it and maybe it will help some of you not to stress out too much.
