Hey guys...sorry I have been MIA but my mom has a stroke and was hospitalized in PA so I was there until last night. She is doing better thankfully but it has been a horrible experience for us.
I went back to RE this morning for my repeat baseline BW and sono and things are bad there too. My estradiol levels are going through the roof and my ovaries have several huge cysts and some follicles...WTF???? I have been on Lupron only but I have gained 5 pounds in 1 week and my abdomen is so swollen and crampy. Anyway RE wants to see me first thing in the morning to evaluate me because he says something is very wrong. I am so sad. Needless to say I am not going forward with my fresh cycle until he figures out what is wrong with me. :( :( :(
SOrry for no personals but I am praying for everyone.

Vicki- during my 2WW, I ate chocolate on the day of my ET and I still got a BFP ...I think it's just a matter of opinion...just like some say after ET you should be on bed rest for days but others says it's not necessary...for me, I lied down for about 10 mins after ET, went to the bathroom and went home and took it easy the rest of the day but I didn't go on bedrest.

Lucy1952 - congratulations on your BFP! Let us know how yesterday's test went.

truebeliever - good luck for your FET today!

to_have_fun - so sorry to read yesterday's update on your embies, I was really hoping to log in this morning and find that you had had your ET with two great looking embryos. Fingers crossed that things improve today.

vicky - yay, you're PUPO! 10 blasts for freezing is unbelievable, although of course you're not going to need them, PMA! Sending you lots of sticky vibes... Re 'dos and donts', I think it's a bit like 'to POAS or not to POAS', everyone has different views and will do what works best for them. My own personal view was that women who conceive without any assistance from the IVF fairy don't know that they have an embyro trying to implant and carry on working, going to the gym, doing sports, lifting things, drinking alcohol, having hot baths, having sex and generally doing lots of things which are on some of the clinics' stricter 'not to do' lists. So for my first cycle I rested for 24 hours and avoided alcohol, caffeine, heavy lifting and strenuous exercise, but otherwise I tried to carry on as normal. I know that I got a BFN, but I truly believe that with the physical things I felt, my embryo was implanting and doing OK until the last few days before beta, and I plan to do the same things again this cycle.

angieinhull - how's your 2ww going, are you managing to stay distracted? So pleased to hear you got three extra bonus embies to freeze! Like you, I'm lucky that the NHS funding rules have just changed for me (I'm caught by the East of England rules) and I also get extra funded cycles, which is good to know just in case.

marymeganB - sounds like your follies are cooking nicely! Let us know how today's u/s goes...

prayin - I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum, I hope she continues to improve quickly. I'll keep both of you in my prayers.

Debbie - keeping my fingers crossed that you got a good report yesterday on your embies. Good luck for transfer tomorrow!

katie99 - welcome to the headache side effects club! The way I try and look at it, at least having side effects means that you're getting further towards transfer all the time!! Roll on the 29th when you can start stims!

KayCe - are you still feeling sad, sweetie? Hope not, but if you are I'm sure it's just the various drugs still messing with your emotions. For what it's worth, I know some of the ladies on here are POAS queens (naming no names, huh Michele??) but my personal decision when I did my first cycle was that I wanted a balance between having an idea of the likely result before beta but not testing too early and risking a false negative. So I decided to test the day before beta, to give DH and I 24 hours to come to terms with whatever the HPT result - it was negative, so I tested again the morning of beta just to be sure. The time between my blood test and them calling with the official results was about 7 hours - it felt like such a looooong wait that we were pleased that we had an idea of what the answer was going to be. But that was just my own take on it - only you know what is the right decision for you.

KJGrant - wow, 54 follies, hope ER went well and it didn't take too long for them to collect all those eggs. They obviously pegged you as a possible candidate for OHSS, hence the reduced trigger. Have you had any OHSS symptoms since ER? I'm hoping not.

lw918 - I know what you mean about not feeling like you are waiting around once you get to the stims stage. For me, that two weeks felt like the quickest of the whole process, because there are so many appointments and things going on!

Daisy - so sorry that your ER and ET experiences were so horrible. I'm lucky that the nurses at my clinic are great and very understanding - I'm really shocked that they aren't like that at all clinics. IVF is an invasive process physically, and when you add in the emotional side of what we're trying to achieve, and how many years most of us having been TTC (plus heightened emotions thanks to all the drugs!), we need all the comforting we can get from our DH's and all the nursing staff. The nurses at my clinic really seem to understand that, so I'm really surprised that it's not like that everywhere. P.S. I know all you BFP guys will move over to the 'pregnant after treatment' threads, but please carry on visiting the rest of us on this thread, we need you guys to jolly us along!!

deftonesmo - good to hear you have a new schedule, wishing you the best of luck! I'm pretty much August timing (my FET will be 27th/28th July) so don't feel you have to leave this thread completely!

Johannanita - doing an AF dance for you!

mikeandjess - ((((((((hugs))))))))

AFM, it's been a fairly traumatic 24 hours. Both of my dogs had bad stomachs on Monday night and while one has got better, the other got worse. Our little girl Labrador has a delicate stomach at the best of times and it clearly couldn't cope with whatever it was that they had both eaten on their walk on Monday (out of sight of the person walking them, sneaky things). Yesterday morning we woke up to find that she had been vomiting severly overnight, as well as losing control of her bowels, and there was blood in both (sorry if TMI!). She was too poorly to eat or drink and was clearly getting dehydrated quite quickly. She also had some sort of allergic reaction to the toxins in her system and her head and body swelled up massively in the space of a few hours yesterday. Long story short, she got admitted to the vets and has been on a drip for the last 24 hours and taking antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and all sorts of other things intravenously. She had to go to another emergency vet service overnight about 45 minutes away as our practice doesn't monitor them overnight, so we transferred her back to the daytime vet earlier this morning for another day hooked up to the drip. She is improved but still not well. We're hoping she can come home tonight, but today is a bit of a wait and see day.

Catch up with you soon,
Hazel

Prayin4BFP - I am so sorry to hear about your mum. Hope she's on the bend. And I'm so sorry to hear aboout your u/s result. I hope everything sorts itself out for you. Take care of yourself x

[/b]ck121 - thanks for your advice. I didn't chocolate would be a no no! Phew! I rested yesterday after ET and I'm taking it easy today (as the embryologist said today is when the blastocyst will start to hatch and attached itself!). I will have a walk to my local shopes tomorrow - it's mine and DH's wedding anniversary on 17th and I haven't got a card for him yet! Oops! he said he wasn't bothered - making him a daddy will be the best presents! awwwww I am going to try and carry on as normal but just be more wary of things. Thanks for your thoughts x Take care x

Another day and another round of bw/sono! I'm feeling very full and bloated this morning, which is a very good thing according to my RE. My uterine lining was graded at 8A today, which is also very good according to the RE and my follies are growing and growing and growing. Today I had a 16, 13, 10, and 7. There were alot more too, but these are the important ones. I go back again tomorrow at 6:30 for more blood and another sonogram. I'm hoping the RE tells me to take my trigger shot on Saturday so the retrieval will then be on Monday. I'm getting REALLY excited and REALLY anxious. POSITIVE THOUGHTS, POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

Good Morning Ladies!!!

Mike and Jess - I want to extend myhugs and prayers to get you throughthis difficult time. We all know how trying it is for you right now, we have all been there at one point in our lives. Just know that each of us are here for you.

Vicky- We had our trasfer on the same day.. I have been thinking of youand I am glad youtransferred a great embie. Good Luck to you..

Angie- I am so excited to hear you had 5 frosties. That is amazing..

To have fun - Hope to hear your embies have had a growth spur and you don't have to cancel another cycle.

lw918- I can relate with all the long trips to the RE, we make a 3.5 hour roundtrip hike for each of our appointments. I have to take a half day off from work every time, which sucks but hopefully it will be worth every tank of gas!! Hang in there.

Praying 4BFP- I am happy yo hear your Mom is doing better... So sorry to hear your news. Hopefully RE figures out the problem and next time, it's a breeze and plenty of follies.

AFM, had my FET yesterday... Everything went well, my lone sole thawed perfectly, so I am anxiously awaiting beta. Whichis only 9 days away on the 24th. How exciting. I join my fellow PUPO ladies, and I pray thatthis is it for us. Most of us have had very long journeys, and we all deserve to be parents... Just hope it's OUR time! Baby Dust to ALL!!!

Megan, it seems you're running neck and neck with me! We too are hoping tomorrow's u/s says those follies are growing, but I doubt it. Think we'll be looking more towards the middle of the week for the ER.

Dr.'s office Phoned this morning and said that we need to have a conference tomorrow in his main office 2.5 hours away! So I guess it's a 3:30 a.m. wake up call tomorrow!
I called yesterday to discuss the fact that I needed consent forms for egg freezing, but apparently it's hardly worth it?? Never early that before. We are having a very difficult time deciding on the number of eggs to fertilize.

Woke up this morning and it felt like my ovaries had swollen to baseballs!! Yesterday's U/S showed small follies, but by evening i could tell a difference. This morning it hurts to walk! soo much pressure!

lw918-

I am also feeling the swollen ovaries and pressure and this didn't come about until yesterday morning. I feel so bloated that pants feel like they could pop at any minute. It's too bad I have to wear dress clothes to work every day or I would be in my gym clothes. I also feel tremendously FULL which has caused my appetite to diminish, which isn't a bad thing!

Here's hoping we have our ER early in the week! I'm getting very anxious and excited for the transfer/2ww.

Chris- I am so sorry to hear your news :( I was really hoping it would be your time this time around. Please let us know when you decide what's next and we will all be here for you.

Mikeandjess- I am also very saddened to read you news. I hate reading about the bfn's here. I really wish it could for for everyone

prayin- so sorry to hear about your mom, I hope she is feeling better

hazel- not too far for you now! Are you on estrace/estrogen yet?

sorry I didn't get to everyone, I have been so drained trying to get back to normal after the long wedding weekend, and honestly, lots of family drama still surrounding me. I have been emotionally drained.

I posted on the other thread that RE scared me yesterday when they said I was looking at sept. 21 for FET, thats right, SEPTEMBER! I was pretty upset and begged them to try and move it along quicker, and they called me today and said that we will try for august, but to keep in mind I run the risk of e2 rising again since I will not be on bcp's for as long as they wanted. I don't care, I just want to try, I will start lupron next week and will have supression check on 7/30. Please pray for me, if I am supressed on 7/30, my fet will be aug 20.
