Wannababy,
my NT scan was external, which was a nice change .... I am glad you are doing so well!
I am still waiting for the blood results of the NT. I hope I won't have to go for the amnio. How are you feeling? My nausea hasn't stopped yet and my friend told me she had it until the 5th month...so it may still take a while. :? My next US is Feb. 15th and 16th, so I won't see the babies for some time. My doctor told me he may be able determine the genders by then. I cannot wait for that!
Good luck with the test on Wednesday!

First tri-mester is officially over at 14 weeks however, some refer to the turnover period at 12. I had morning sickness until about four 1/2 months but it is different for everyone. I still get it but it is all easier than that morning sickness of the first trimester.

Mia- Wow, it is coming up. I am crossing EVERYTHING for you!!!!

I am feeling better and better each day. I am off to Az this weekend for some sunshine which will be great. I need to get out of the cold. My rib still hurts but improving with each passing minute. I go for my 7 month appointment tomorrow where the check for diabeties. Wish me luck!!!

Wannababy- I had my line from the first week. I have dark coloring which they say makes it more transparent. I also had high hormone level (which is why I thought/knew it was a girl).

Lola-Thanks for keeping updates it is great to see all the BFP when we all started with none! The rest of the girls will make it complete

Hopeful-All the best for a successful transfer. My fingers are crossed for you. We are waiting for another BFP!!!

I had my NT scan today and it was absolutely amazing. My risk is extremely low and the ultrasound took my breath away. My brownie is a swimmmer. It was moving all over the place, a lot. At one point the baby looked as if it was clapping. The tech said that although it's early she has a good idea of the gender, but wasnt exactly sure. She told me that it would be confirmed at my next visit. As of now, it looks like a baby girl! From this point on, I will refer to the baby as she and if the tech is wrong, then I will start calling it he. Today made all of the injections, early morning appointments, etc all worth it!

Emily ---- I remember my levels were never what they were supposed to be...so I had to have lots of adjustments. It is all getting close! Good luck on Friday!

Wannababy! --- Isn't it amazing to see the baby moving? I was almost crying when I saw that. It is so strange, I cannot believe that I don't feel anything when they are moving so much. Glad your NT went well. My went OK as well but I am still waiting for the blood results. I don't know the genders yet, I cannot even imagine what it's like to find out... so it's probably a Girl, who hoo!!!!!

Mia --- so Friday will be the day then, I will be thinking of you! Your embies look great so far, I only had three 8 cell embryos and that was it. And look, it is twins now! And all three took, they say I probably lost one just because my body was not ready to carry three. Cheers again to all the babies of 2007!

Suzhan --- how is everything going? Good luck with your NT scan on Friday!

Sam --- have a nice time in Arizona and let us know how your 7 month appointment went..

We are all doing well and I am so happy for everyone!

Hopeful- 9 good contenders, congrats!!! I only had two and I am hitting my 7th month tomorrow so be excited and keep us posted.

Wannnababy- Isn't that u/s the best???? The gender one is just as exciting as it is very detailed. My baby looked like she was sucking her thumb and it just melted my heart. They are pretty accurate at that appointment so it sounds like a girl!! YEAH

Hi Ladies - Sorry that I have been missing in action for so long but the past few weeks have been quite busy. First off we moved into a new place so a lot of time has been spent packing/unpacking. Then we had problems connecting our internet, it took forever to finally connect. I have had a lot of catching up to do.

I am glad to see that everyone is doing well.

Sam - I hope your ribs are healing nicely. I can't believe you are in your seventh month already. That is so exciting. Do you have her nursery done yet or are you still in the process of decorating it? In our new place, I have already designated one of the bedrooms as the nursery. Of course, right now it still housing the boxes I have yet to unpack but it makes me feel good to envision it as a nursery.

Lola - Thank you so much for maintaining the updates. It is so nice to see all of the BFPs listed. I am sorry to hear about the nausea, hopefully it will be subsiding soon. I can't believe you have already completed your first trimester. I still remember you telling us you were pregnant. Do you miss running?

Wannababy - Glad to hear your scan went well and that you have such an active baby. All of the activity probably makes it feel more real. I am also glad that you feel that all of the needles and meds were worth it because it gives me hope :-).

Emily - How is the Menopur treating you? I was on Menopur too and I found that it was a pain to mix up the meds every time. I was grateful that it was an evening shot rather than a morning shot because that would have been too much work for me for first thing in the morning. Any idea of a retrieval date? Best of luck tomorrow, I hope the increased dosage does the trick.

Mia - Good luck tomorrow. I wish you all of the best. I am so glad that 14 survived the thaw.

Champa - Glad to hear that you have started again. I hope the new protocol is agreeing with you. Please keep us updated.

Suzhan - Congrats on being off the PIO. What a great milestone. I hope you are feeling better and that the nausea is subsiding. Why are you taking baby aspirin?

As for me, my RE changed my protocol for round 2. He wanted to me to begin on cycle day 2. When he initially said that, I thought he meant I would start down regging on that day. Instead he had me start stims. I was so shocked. So on January 12, I started with Gonal-F and Menopur. I had my retrieval on Tuesday and my transfer is tomorrow. This cycle was so quick, I barely had time to even grasp that I started and next thing I know, they were scheduling the retrieval. I think the fact that I was still trying to unpack kept me a bit distracted.

However at the retrieval, I found out my estrogen level was high so they think I was overstimulated. They were still able to retrieve 14 eggs, 8 of which fertilized. I have to drink lots of fluids with electrolytes to help but I haven't really noticed any symptoms of overstimulation.

I hope everyone is doing well. I've missed you guys.

Talk to you soon.

Such activity on our little board - very exciting!

Mia - Sending you loads of sticky baby dust for your very strong embies! How exciting!Image I just know this will be the one - try to rest and relax during your 2 ww (I know, impossible, but do your best and let DH pamper you!)

Myhb - my goodness, things have moved quickly for you and you're joining the 2ww as well - it's so cool! Image Everything's crossed for you too! It sounds like you had a great response and with 8 fertilized, you'll have some good ones to choose from for transfer! Good luck to you! Oh, and my RE recommends staying on the baby aspirin to week 24 (or 28?) He started me on baby asprin 1x/day during stims and I've been on it ever since. It's supposed to help with the implantation by reducing clotting factors and also once you get the bfp is supposed to reduce the chance of getting pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure).....My OB agreed that I stay on it until then.

Sam - enjoy your vacation in the sun - you deserve it after all you've been through in the last couple of months. Hope you have a really relaxing time!

Lola - the NT scan is this afternoon, thanks for asking. I'm a bit of a nervous wreck about it - don't know why, but I just always get nervous before these scans because I just don't want any bad news. My m/s is finally starting to go away - which was a worry at first - but I think it's normal about now to start feeling better and my OB said to just 'enjoy it', so I definitely am! When do you get your final blood work from the nt scan? It's cool that they at least gave you the early nt scan result though without waiting for the final blood work. I hope I get that today too.

Wannababy - what awesome news about your NT scan and how cute that she (!) was clapping for you! What a relief - if week 13 is the 'magic' week - you're almost there! How are you feeling otherwise?

Emily - you're still pretty early into the stims and it's really good that you're RE is watching you so closely to adjust the meds. Good luck at your ultrasound today - keep us posted.

Champa - hope your bcp start is going well - Only a month from the ER/ET - it's going to go so fast and will be here before you know it! Good luck to you!

My OB said that getting to week 12 is the critical week to reduce the risk of m/c to less than 1% (which because of my history is my big fear). So, I'm really looking forward to having my NT scan today and am just praying for good news.Image I also finally got a few new clothes - I had only 1 pair of pants left that fit for work anymore (I work in an office environment, so I have to wear business clothes and all the pants of my suits didn't fit around my waist anymore!) I've only gained 4 pounds but it seems like I've gained about 10 - I look so fat (NOT pregnant, just chubby!) I haven't told anyone yet, so I'm sure they're all thinking I really overdid it at the holidays. Oh well, DH and I wanted to wait until after first trimester to start telling people, so we've got a couple of weeks more I guess.

Well, good luck to all testing, transferring and scanning today! May you all have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!

Hello everyone!
Wow, we are moving ahead, so I had to do another update! How cool!

Myhb - we missed you too!!!! How great, you already started! Looks like your protocol was microflare, just like mine...It is a much shorter protocol. Everything looks good, I know this is the cycle and you will join all of us very soon! Good luck tomorrow and have a happy 2WW! I miss running, but when you see those babies kicking and waving on the ultrasound, you don't care about anything. I want them to be healhy and I will do anything for them! Like Wannababy said, it is all worth it. I don't even remember I had to do the shots anymore, we are so happy... And you are on your way!!!!

Suzhan --- good luck with your NT scan, I am sure everything will be just fine. I understand. I always worry too before the scan, but once I see those two little ones moving in there, the worries go away. I may already find out the genders next time. I have three more weeks to go till the next US. And I know what you say about looking big... I finally started looking pregnant instead of just bigger and people seem to notice. I can only wear maternity clothes now.

Mia --- I am thinking of you today, hope everything goes well. Happy 2ww! Your Halloween baby is definitelly arriving this year!

Girls, all of you, who are pregnant, please let me know your due dates so we can add them to our update!

Quick update -

I had the NT scan today - and everything looked really good. The fluid measured less than 2 (I think it's 2 mm) on both measurements (one was 1.0 and the other was 1.6). The tech and the doctor both commented that they thought it looked great and it was a good sign that everything is fine. I was measuring at 12 weeks, 2 days....so the little one is growing right along and he/she was waving and doing little flips at us. They had a huge screen above us so we could see everything - truly amazing. I think I'm (finally) starting to get less nervous. I get the final result in a week (they combine the scan results with a blood test they run) and the perinatologist said these tests predict trisomy 18 and 21 to 85% accuracy. Then, in a month, I have a second blood test which he said will then predict to 95% accuracy. If both turn out good, I can avoid the amnio, which makes me and dh very relieved. Even though he said the chance of a m/c with amnio is only 1 in 1600, it still scared me to even consider it.

There was one slightly scary thing, though. The doctor said my placenta is growing slightly over the opening to the cervix and if it stays this way, it is a problem. He did say about 20% of pregnant women start this way early in pregnancy and in most cases the placenta will eventually move back up in the uterus away from the cervix by week 30. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out. I don't know when the next ultrasound is now, probably not for a long time, I think.

Well, have a good weekend everyone,

- suzhan

(ps - lola, my edd is 8/12)
