I missed some posts while I was writing my book. :D :D

moorebaby - Down to the last 7 days!! GL Hun. I'll be praying for you. I think if you POAS or not you're still anxiously awaiting beta to get your numbers. I hope you get your BFP on Sat.

Woolfie - I almost forgot! After I read your question if I was still POAS, I panicked and ran to the bathroom with my very last HPT. It was a dollar store one. When I was taking them this was the one that would always give me a faint line. Well I'll have you know that pos came back before the control line even showed up! AND it was so dark! So, I think I'm good for now with the POAS. lol

Hey Everyone! Quick Question...I had an u/s today and blood drawn to test estridiol ( i guess that's estrogen) because the nurse called back and said my estrogen level is low...35, (it started at 17 I think so it hasn't gone up much) I've been on stims for 4 days. I think she said it's supposed to get over 100...does anyone know anything about this? What does this mean? What is the estrogen specifically responsible for? They were going to change my dosage and have me start taking the Ganirelix (which is like Lupron to stop me from ovulating) tomorrow morning but said to wait until my next appt. Tuesday (it was supposed to be Wed. but they moved it up so they could test my Estrogen again sooner).

On a better note, she said she saw 19 follicles! 12 on one and 7 on the other. She said 2 of them are at 11 and 1 is at 9...I don't know what that means either? I know its the size but I don't know the significance of the numbers. Is that good? She said the rest of them were small but again I just started stims 4 days ago so I'm hoping they still have plenty of time to grow right?

Any information you ladies can provide me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Aaaaaah! Well, the spa was heaven this morning! They scrubbed in places I didn't even know I had and I must have lost 10 lbs of dead skin! I am sooooo relaxed, just what I wanted for my FET. Now everyone needs to leave me alone for the next 2 days.

I started my progesterone (crinone twice a day) yesterday and it is making me feel pretty crummy. Yesterday my tummy was upset and I didn't eat much. And I have been moody. I warned dh 3 times last night in the car. He kept making stupid comments and I kept saying, I have no patience for this right now. After the 3rd time I snapped, he was like, man, your your fuse is short, and I said, I warned you! Also, I woke up to pee like 4 times last night! It reminded me of when I was 8 months pregnant...I don't remember frequent urination being a side effect of progesterone.

So just 2 more sleeps until I am PUPO! I can't believe it is finally happening!

sancap- your e2 levels (estradiol) will help them to determine how many mature follicles you have, which is why they want to see it a little higher now and are probably upping your dose. The amount of follies really doesn't matter, but the size is important because smaller ones will most likely not produce a mature egg. I know all clinics are different, but if I remember correctly for my 2 ivf's, my clinic started giving me ganerelix when my lead follie was 14/15mm, and I triggered when most follies were over 18mm. It is average for follies to grow 1-2mm per day, so if you have some in the 8,9,10,11 range right now, those will probably produce mature eggs. And yes, if you are only on day four, the smaller ones have plenty of time to catch up.

Thank you CT_Michelle- So because I only have 3 follies b/t 9 and 11, it would be normal to have a lower E2 level right? And the progesterone is to thicken your lining? They said my lining was still thin but you don't really start working on that until I would be at your stage right?

Thanks again for all your help!

sancap- I don't think progesterone is to thicken your lining, I am doing a frozen transfer and the estrogen pills I take are to thicken my lining. I am by no means an expert, but from my understanding, lupron or the antagon (ganerelix in your case) stops or lowers your production of progesterone, which you need to sustain a healthy pregnancy. If you get pregnant, you will continue with progesterone supplementation until atleast 8 weeks pregnant. You will probably start progesterone the day after your retrieval.

Your e2 will increase as your follies mature. I think that each mature follie should count for 150-200 of e2.

Check out this chart:

http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html

It tells you what you should expect for your e2 levels. I hope that helps.

Oh the drama..... - Well, last time I checked in, they were ready to cancel my cycle. We did two more days of stims and I went back Friday and the smaller follies had caught up to the lead one, so we had a couple of options. I only have 6 follies this time, unlike the 13 I had last time, but we decided to go ahead to retrieval tomorrow and if we get some fresh embryos, great, but if not, we will do a frozen transfer on Saturday. If we only get one embryo, we will use one frostie and do a combo. Wish us luck!!! This has all been so dramatic but I am glad we didn't have to cancel completely and I am hoping that of the 6 follies, maybe we can get a fresh embryo.

Does anyone out there have experience with getting some good embryos out of not very many eggs??

So I am wondering why I have to wait 13 days for my beta after my FET when I had my beta at 10 days last time with fresh cycle. Fresh was a 5 day blast and FET is a 6 day blast. Shouldn't they be doing beta 9 days past ET not waiting longet then last time? All I can think of is due to my chemical last time they are waiting longer. How long out are you betas from ET? Is this normal? This just hit me and I am thinking about asking to move it up. You know how hard the 2ww is. How am I going to make it 3 more days longer then last time? I am not going to POAS!!! :?

Hey Everyone,

I obviously need to make better use of the dollar store. I've never even thought about looking for HPT there. I must head there this week! We're still stimming, shots are going well, and my next SNS is on Tuesday.

kala - I don't want to miss saying have a great trip, so have a wonderful trip on Tuesday. I hope it's a good experience for you, and I really hope you'll be able to stay online during the process. Happy, safe flying!! I'm praying that you sail through the checkpoints with your frozen spermies.

prayin - You have so much on your plate. It's just good seeing you check in from time to time. Hang in there, and we'll be praying for your Mom's surgery tomorrow.

neffi - GL with ER tomorrow. Can't wait to hear about the # of eggies!!

johannanita - It's so hard to decide when to tell family/friends. You're making the right decision. Go with your gut. You still crack me up with POAS. Too funny!!

sancap - I'm not sure about the estridol levels and what the specific #'s mean. 19 follies is awesome!!! I think I only had 11 follies last time, so I would be super happy with 19. Grow follies grow!!!!!!

michelle - SOOOOOOOoooooooooo glad and jealous that your spa treatments were wonderful.

statsgoddess - My last cycle, we had very few follies (they almost cancelled my cycle). My RE let me go a few extra days. Out of 11 follies, they retrieved 10 eggs, 8 were mature and 4 fertilized. We have a beautiful DD. So you can get good eggies from a few follies, and I had very few big follies. GL with the retrieval. Let us know how it goes!!!

lisa - I don't really think there is any rhyme or reason as to when our office schedules our betas. after my fresh cycle I had my beta 12dp5dt and this time it was scheduled for 14dp5dt. I really think it just depends on when the IVF nurse puts it on our schedules. when I called to ask to have mine moved up I was told it wasn't a problem. The nurse said they just prefer to have them around 14dpt so that there will be nice high beta numbers.

statsgoddess - oh my! I am so glad that you will be able to move forward with this cycle! I hope you get some good eggies tomorrow and that they grow grow grow! I'll be thinking of you!

bei - Hope you had a safe flight. Don't worry about the back pain, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

sancap - ghost just posted on another thread and stated that estrogen is needed to thicken the uterus and that progesterone is needed to make it receptive to the embryo.

michele - YAY! You are almost there! How many frosties do you have?

Wolffie- I have 4. The plan is to thaw 2, and if both thaw successfully, then transfer those 2 and have 2 left for another FET, either right away if this doesn't work, or maybe for baby #3, if we are that lucky. But if they thaw 2 and one or both don't survive, they will thaw the last 2 and transfer all that are viable, which means I may potentially be transferring up to 3, which I know is a lot for my age. But I would never want to transfer just one, so I don;t want just one left frozen, so it's either 2 or all for me. I swear, I keep dreaming and envisioning that we will go on tuesday, they will try to thaw 2 and only one will thaw, so then they thaw the other 2 which make it and they transfer 3...and then I get a bfp with twins! I guess we will have to wait and see.

wolffie-Im not feeling nervous (yet) just excited. i got the whole house cleaned, im all packed and we finished the sidding on the shed today..yay!! Now it is time to get on that plane with my sperm.

Johanna-thanks for your prayers! My husband and his father are muslim, so I had to call his dad today and wish him a Happy Ramadan. When we lived near them, last year we had to go to their house for dinner with all their friends. Then all the women put on their scarfs around their heads and all of the muslims went upstairs to pray. I was kinda uncomfortable when they did this, but I have to be respectful. Hope you had a nice dinner. GL tomorrow! Im praying for you!!

bei-wow, you travel alot! I hope you are getting rest too. Good idea on the wheelchair...OMG..I cannot imagine if I was in a wheelchair at the airport and my husband is in his wheelchair too. That metal pic is a little overwhelming.

Sancap-i dont have answers for you...but Im praying everything works out and those levels rise!

statsgoddess-wow...what a roller coaster! I admire your persistense, GOOD LUCK!!!

J&C-thanks! I hope we do to.

Praying-I hope everything goes well with ur mom. Im praying for her! i hope everything word out for the best with your cycle.

Michele-what a predicament-i pray your frosties thaw beautifully.

Malya-good luck tomorrow!!! No worries...we all relay on shelby's wonderful updates. And with all these betas coming up...we should see one very soon!

AFM-Im packed, cleaned and ready to go! All we have to do it get all the spermies safely in Liquid Nitrogen. We will work on all that tomorrow. My DH has to drive 2 and 1/2 hours each way tomorrow to pick up the liquid nitrogen dry shipper....bless him!

Prayers for everyone!!

Hello everyone!
Sorry, I too, have been MIA. I have a 16 year old son who fell off his bike and broke his leg on Tuesday. He had surgery to have 5 screws put in to put his tibia back together! It's been absolutely crazy here. I guess my cycle was meant to be canceled since I would have been having my ER and Transfer while he was in the hospital. I've read the board a few times while I was home showering, but no time to reply. :( As for me... still waiting for AF to come to begin again. This time without BCP- going straight to stims. Hopefully we will get more than 1 follie this time!

A few quick personals while I have a minute:

CONGRATS to all the new BFP's!!!!! I'm so excited for all of you. :)

Shelby- YEAH AWESOME fert. report!

Michele- GL with your frosties!

Good luck to everyone at every stage. Lots of baby sticky dust to us alll!!!! :P
