hi everyone...thanks again for all the congratulations and well- wishes.. it's awesome to be in my shoes right now.
there's so much action going on with all of us right now- a string of betas, and it seems like many of you stimming gals are getting closer to ER's and celebrations of success!
chris i'm relieved to read that it wasn't a cyst...
gina my weight stayed the same thru both IVF cycles i've had, i've had minimal to no sore bbs.
waiting- i hope you're PG!! that's neat your re said that.
jules - please don't think you're selfish because you've had a success previously- that can be an inspiration to a lot of us...and there are threads for those of us with multiple cycle failures- this thread is about oct/nov/dec cycles and all are welcome
muchhope awesome to hear of you hpt! good omen.
kke i'm not sure about the whole ovulating before ER, i guess it's possible- but if you were on any suppressant med (like ganiralex, cetrotide/luveris) they stop that from happening before trigger- (or i think that's true?)
robin- please don't worry about spotting !!! many women say this is good and typical...although of course it's scary- but can be very normal.
mrs.cutter- having 3 to transfer is great!- there's a woman on this forum somewhere who only had 1, transferred it, and is now PG! - i got pg last time after only transferring 2- they were all i grew.
ladyj- an initial beta being high is considered good as it's a sign of a well-implanted embryo, and unlikely to be a chemical pregnancy. apparently they prefer it over 100 as it's more strongly correlated with a viable pregnancy (meaning likely you'll see a heartbeat later on u/s)...BUT beyond that initial number- its more important the beta number doubles every 48-72 hours up until 1200 ml. then it should double every 72-96 hours when its' between 1200-6000 ml, after 6000 it should double every 96 hours or more. BUT many women carry to term with a lower start beta- it just all depends. twin pregnancies have higher beta's.. beta hcg is what gives us morning sickness ect.- so twin carriers usually are more sick.
jdc- good luck with that u/s tomorrow- and yes, many of us are slow starters, so it's good to go into the appt with reasonable expectations.
hi
kas!! and
bell!! - your FET is coming up soon- how exciting
NY- how are you? and a few of you i didn't know (or missed) what your upcoming beta dates were for the board -
ny, hereiam, julesg, amanda, waiting4
melissa, lovemybaby, excited/michelle, if you're still out there hugs and hello to you.
hi to everyone else i didn't mention.
i'm quite pleased with my OBGYN today- i switched to him after my m/c when i was pissed off at the other lady i'd switched to after the first ob pissed me off! anyways- he gave me my progesterone, set up weekly betas, and u/s at 6,8,10 weeks. he's very nice and seems willing to treat me in the 'high maintenance' way that i feel i am.
love to all,karen
