Ester - 9 weeks! That's amazing! You are about 1/4 of the way there! (half of all twins are born before 35 weeks) Cool!
Kat (Tuffy) - yay! That's an amazing follow-up beta! Now enjoy the next "2ww" until your u/s!
akdelp - you too! Fantastic second beta! My clinic only does a single beta and if it's good, then we wait for u/s. No worries about having 'only' two beta draws - things are fine!
Maria - the PIO sucks. I'm sorry. Maybe ask for "progesterone in ethyl oleate" instead of in regular oil. That's what we use here. It still sucks, but I've heard it's better. Huge congrats! That is a great HPT for 11"dpo"!
Tonia -- YAYAY! great for you! Here, we do only a single beta blood draw and if it's 'good' we wait for ultrasound. The 'follow up beta draws' seem to be an American thing.
Neffi - I'll ask my AF to send her buddy over to you! Usually takes me 4 days of no BCP to get a period, but this time it took only a single day! weird.
Rosie - only one week sounds good. So you are making a trip to N America with your husband before you start stimming (or after?)? Are you going to have time to have a little vacation, or will it all be interviews?--- btw, my husband is a computer programmer and hates Macs so much that he won't even let me own one! I have an iPod from before we met (8 years ago!) that I still use. He's been trying to get me to use a different type of music player, but I still like my classic iPod!
Christy - I became a red head this summer! Not really so red (I added red dye on top of my dark brown hair - so now I'm auburn. To make real red, I would have had to bleach first.) How did it go? What do you look like now?
Antonia - fingers crossed for the interview! I also thought I'd want to work in academia (ie, teach in a university). I thought it would be awesome if I got a phd - then we would be Mr. & Dr. (!) How cool would that be?! But I think the MA made me "burn out". I would love to do a doctorate one day, but not now. --- Hurray for the 'go ahead' on your natural cycle!
Kerri - oy. Sorry you are unemployed. What do you do? Is job searching hard in your area? I got a stupid job to keep me busy while I continue to wait for my dream career of "stay at home mom".... -- I agree in trying anything - why not?
Felicia - 2 more weeks to wait for that u/s!
Kamina - SF must be a pretty 'colorful' place to live. I live in Jerusalem, which is quite strictly religious. I don't live in a religious area (my life is pretty darn similar to the life I was leading in the USA), but there are real religious enclaves here. People here protest when public parking lots are open on Saturdays (because religious Jews aren't supposed to drive). How nuts is that? When I delivered my boys, the only hospital that had space in the NICU for 24 week twins was the super religious hospital. The NICU was fantastic (exactly as it would be at any other hospital), but my stay on the maternity floor was nuts! Sheesh! We would get scolded by the nurses for touching each other (because religious couples don't touch when a woman is 'impure' from vaginal bleeding). ICK!
blessed - no AF still? Your clinic can definitely tell you what's going on based on bloodwork and u/s.
Ninde - I'm glad the D&C went well. After my miscarriage, I was allowed to try again on my next cycle. They kept checking my blood to make sure my beta hcg went back to zero (if it didn't, that would be a sign that they didn't get everything in the D&C). That part took a looooonggggg 9 weeks. Then I waited for AF (who didn't show up at all), took provera to start a period and started my FET. Lydia was told that she has to wait another cycle. I'm not sure if that's becuase she is doing fresh (instead of FET). Ask your clinic.
AFM - my sister is here! So much fun! We sat and painted our finger nails while watching TV. Super awesome!
It's kinda hard. She's here... but the babies she was supposed to meet aren't. <sigh> I think it'll be even harder when my mom, grandmom and step-dad-to-be show up next week.
AF is here in full force. I'm getting sad that we aren't starting the FET this month.... I lined up everything (paperwork, clinic appts, BCP, etc) so we could start now. I totally agree with waiting another month because of my new job, but it's still hard.
It's hard to see all the BFPs here and know that it'll be 2 more months (at least!) until I see mine....
Have a great day, y'all! Keep the good news flowing!
