Aunty - So glad you have got your schedule. When do you start with the drugs. It is your turn now. You have supported us all through our cycles so far so now it is our turn to support you.


newbie - rose, welcome to this thread. The girls on here are wonderful and I am sure that you will get loads of help from them.

Hopefull, I have just been trying to work out the time difference between us. I think that it will be late tonight here when you get your result so provided I am still awake I will have a look for it. Best of luck for a huge BFP.

Zirly - I really feel for you. What you have been through in the last week is a nightmare that would try the patience of a saint. Well done for keeping sane. How lovely that you now have your lovely little girl embrio inside you. Rest and take care of her. Have you frozen any of the others for a brother/sister at a later date.

Beckie, Keep up the PMA as I am sure that goes along way to helping with a BFP. I have read loads of women have AF type symptoms and then go onto be pregnant. Just keep thinking positive vibes. Sending you a big ((((((HUG)))))))) to reasure you.

Souris, Good look with your scan. You might find that you have grown extra follicules. I started off with 15 and by the last scan there was 26, 12 of those were the right size and we ended up with 20 eggs. I wouldn't recomend that number though as I have felt like a battery Hen for the last week.

nimble - thank you for your comments. I knew right the way through that we would probably get loads of embrios as we had 15 at the first scan and then it went upto 26. Yesterday the consultant said he was expecting around 12 as that is howmany large follicles I had got so I was really suprised with how many we got. Another lady who went through the procedure at the same time as me got 14. Right the way through alot of the ladies at our clinic thought they were ready only to have to go for a few more days. I guess that the consultant at the moment is working towards large numbers of eggs.


Well we are waiting for the call to say how many eggs have fertalised. I keep trying to tell myself that out of 20 eggs at least 1 must have made it. But then I also keep reading that if you have lots of eggs the quality isn't so good. I am also very worried about OHSS. I think provided it doesn't develop my tommorow my consulstant will go for transfer anyway then monitor me well after then. How did everyone else feel the day after transfer. I am still slightly in pain, almost like a dull ache a bit like period pain. How long did the pain last and was it gone by ET. I really hope it does as I don't really want to be in pain when the embrios go back in.

It is really early in the morning here and I am not sure why I am up. I don't want to disturbe DH so I think I will go and try to have a bit more sleep on the settee.

Ems: Thank you so much for ur messages hun, im trying to keep my PMA up, i think its starting to work. AF pains are non existant this morning so far, but i dont know if thats good or bad now lol. Angela: Waiting for that call is just awful isnt it - i remember waiting for mine, as we only had two eggs (Like Ems) i was really nervous, and when he phoned to say 2 out of 2, i couldnt speak to him on the phone cos i was crying with happiness - i guess he loves his job when it comes to calls like that. I love his job - i love him LOL. Let us know later how many wee ones u got. xx

Well Friday morning is finally here, as Ems said - her and I are half way thru our 2ww - i dont know how i have gotten this far without u ladies i really dont. I had a terrible day yesterday - but have woken up to a nice fresh new morning, the sky is blue, the sun is shinning - its a bit nippy tho - and my boss is away on hols ...... woooo hooooo lol

becky - glad you are feeling brighter today, weather is lovely isn't it? The sun definitely brightens your mood. Keep up the PMA.

I have been for my scan this morning and everything is ok, the drugs have done their job. I now start the menopur on Tues 12th Sept. the nurse gave us a demo on how to mix the menopur, how confusing?? DH had just come off a night shift and could hardly keep his eyes open and I was stressing saying you have to take this in cos I won't remember it all!! I am going to write everything down that I can remember it's a long time til Tues and I am so scared I will have forgotten it by then.

Great news with your stimming - you're on your way!
I know how you feel, it's a bit daunting. I got in a right state with the Menopur mixing at first - we had to mix 4 ampoules. Just take your time, it does get a lot easier after the first couple of goes. A little tip, insert the green needle into the slot on the rubber bung of the ampoule with the flat side of the tip facing down. As you draw up the mixture and get to the last bit, tilt the bottle slightly at an angle and the flat part of the tip of the needle will get right into the bottom of the ampoule and get the last drop out.
Also, you may have a little vacuum of air in the syringe, my advice is to leave that until the last ampoule is drawn up, change needes, turn the needle up into the air and give it a little flick so the air rises, then slowly push the syringe until the air is expelled and voila!
Hope this helps - I know you didn't ask for my advice but I know how mind boggling it can be!

Hi Everyone! What a fun day...as we hopefully (definately) will hear two BFPs!!!!!!!!!!!

Question...I am on bedrest after transfer and I am terrified to go #2. I know this is personal...but what to do? I am so terrified my one little embie will come flying out

Angela: Keep us posted on the amount that fertilitzed. Are you doing a 3 day transfer or a 5 day? Just to answer your question...we really had only one good emby to put back in and we'll find out today if any others were worth freezing (only three contenders).

Can't wait to get the posts with smiley faces and BFP!

Hey girls!

Zirly, i m so happy to see that you have one little embie girl back where she belongs! You went through a hard couple of days, but it is all worth it at the end!!

Where are the BFPS??!! cant wait to hear some good news!

As for me, EC is definitively now on Monday as planned. I am so very excited (and apprehensive of course). I have about 10 mature eggs and loads more on the small side. My doc is not worried if they cannot catch up as 10 is already a good number.
The uterus doppler came back good so no baby aspirin for me.

I am not scared about my EC but we will need everone thoughts for Dh to have so good seeds!!

The opp will be at 7h00 for me, and as we live more than an hour away from the clinic, we decided to go there on sunday night and stay in a hotel.

Have to go, the weather is nice and i want to enjoy the swimmingpool before I have to bedrest!

Zirly hun - I know what you mean - I was the same - was breaking my neck to do a No1 during the transfer (nerves I think!) and was scared to go straight after, also came walking out of the clinic with my legs clamped together looking ridiculous! DH joined me so I wasn't alone!! People were giving us very strange looks!!!!
I didn't have any bed rest but took it easy lazing on the sofa last weekend after my ET on Fri. You'll be fine to go to the loo. Those embies will be floating around in there waiting to get comfortable in a few days.

Zirly...i felt the same way i really did but it wont try to think of your little girl as a pea in honey your cervix is closed now too so no exit ramp there its more stressful for your body when you dont go ...at least you know your not the only nutty one...

Angela our battery hen how are you feeling?..i dont want to scare you just prepare you so you dont panick it will be a couple of days that the OHSS kicks in sooo many of us last time had it and we got average of 10-15 eggs its uncomfortable i think the worse part is looking like your 4-5 mths pregnant i had a woman ask me when my baby was due you really need to drink more water than you can and some sort of sports drink i promise you it really helps.
praying for your 20 little ones in waiting...come on embies do your thang

as for me i start Lupron on 14th for 14 days so excited thats if i ovulated..yeah right ive been feeling all mine popping out the last few days so i know that happend..

Good afternoon and thank you to aunty regarding the OHSS. The consultant thinks I am a high contender for getting it, but wants to carry on regardless and to treat the OHSS if it develops. He said to drink more, but only to quench my thirst whilst the nurse said 3.5 litres a day. I could never get through that much. I am just taking it one day at a time, which I think is all you can do with IVF. Each day I make it through is a day closer to our dream.

Well they have called regarding our little embrios with the babysitter. Of the 10 eggs that went for ICSI 8 were mature enough to inject and 6 have fertalised. Of the 10 that had IVF 7 fertalised. DH is over the moon as yesterday he thought his swimmers wouldn't do the job. He is going round saying well we didn't need ICSI anyway. The embriologist says that they expect 95% of these to make it to embryo stage in the morning and ET is at 9am tommorow.

I can't wait now for the eggs to be put back. I may not be able to post much over the next few days as Ishould be taking it easy and my computer is not a laptop. However I will post again as soon as I can.
