Post -egg collection bleeding

Post by nicolam »

Sorry to be graphic, but I've just had my 2nd emb/transfer and this time I didn't experience any abdominal pain post e/c which was great, however, I've had a slight bleed ever since, when I go to the loo (not every time though). I know that light bleeding just after e/c is normal, but I've had it every day and am now on day 2 of the 2ww. It's not heavy or red, but bitty and brown, but it's really worrying me that I never got any respite from the bleeding before embryo transfer. So I'm now thinking that the embies have probably fallen out already! The Dr had to do a bit of hoovering before e/t and didn't make any fuss about it. I just wish I'd raised my concern then, but you just don't think straight in that situation.

Anyone else familiar with this? Everyone goes on about checking their knickers during the 2ww, well I've had it from day minus-one anyway. The Dr might have just put the embies in anyway cos we'd got so far (I read on this site that sometimes they delay e/t if there's bleeding, but maybe it has to be heavy).

I just feel like it's all over before it even started.

Yours miserably,
Nicola M
Hi Nicola

Sorry to hear about your bleeding - I'm afraid I'm not much help as I didn't experience bleeding until later in 2ww but if I were you I would phone the consultant and talk to him about it or you will worry the whole time - you can also ask about the hoovering. Don't let them fob you off, you have the right to ask and I am sure they will be understanding.

Good luck
Sandra X
