HI there, we just came back from the hoospital yesterday and we are going to be starting DIUI treatment in the next month. It was all very scary yesterday learning how to inject etc. Is anyone else out there going through the same process now or someone who has already? It would be great to chat.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Lisa x

Hi Lisa

Welcome to the site. You will get lots of helpful advice from all the girls on here. We've all been through it - there will always be someone who knows the answers to all your questions!!

I'm in the middle of my second IVF attempt, my first one failed in April and I've been waiting to have another go. You'll find its no where near as daunting as you imagine, once you start. Even the injections aren't anything to worry about, they just sting for a second and then its over a done with. Honestly.

I've not done IUI so I'm not sure how it differs from what I do, but I sniff three times a day for 2-3 weeks and then start injecting puregon (once in the evening). I start my injections on Monday. Then off for EC (egg collection), hopefully some will fertilise and then back for ET (embryo transfer) two days later. Then the hard bit, sitting and waiting to see if its worked!!

You'll be fine - there will be lots of people here to hold your hand!

Let me know how you are getting on once you start your tmt.

lots of love
Nikola.xxx

Nicola - thanks for your kind words, I'll let you know what happens!

Diane, great to hear from someone who has actually been through it all. I've found that some sites only really deal with IVF. Congratulations on being pregnant and all the best.

As I said i'm doing the drugs bit aswell and will start sniffing mid September. Can I ask why diui? my DH hasn't any sperm and so it is our only option. How have you dealt with the donor aspect? and have you been open with friends and family?

Great to hear from you and thanks
Lisa x
