in need of some understanding friends

Hey all Havent been on here for awhile all the names seem new so guess i will start again im 26 have been ttc for 2 and half years had the clomid no luck have now been referred to kings for iui have just recieved my assesment forms so am getting quite excited that its all gonna start soon but am also feeling a little depressed just in case it doesnt work my sister is also trying for a baby now that hurts to even tho she knows what im going through, she did ask me first tho bless her if i minded and how i would feel obviously i told her she can do as she likes its up to her but when she falls pregnant it will break my heart a bit like rubbing salt in a wound. any one else at kings at the mo how long did you have to wait for your first appointment after you filled in the forms? sorry if i have gone on a bit is just nice to know your all there in the same situation and all understand good luck to all on the 2ww fingers crossed i will be there soon lots of love to you all and ++++vibes love ang

Hi Angela I am new too, just that I'm in Manchester so I cant say anything about kings. But I'm sure you will get well looked after and everything will work out, just be positive. Ive come to the end of a 3 year wait and am hopefully starting next month, I have blocked tubes and a cyst on 1 of my ovarys, my husbands been checked and he's OK, so now its in the hands of fate...... I know it must be hard with your sister trying aswell, but hopefully you can be there for each other. I dont know what its like as I have 2 brothers and no sisters,but I can imagine how painfull it will feel. Anyway I just wanted to say good luck, take care and remember we are all here to chat away when you need it. Love Nicky

Hi Angela, Can't answer your question about Kings I'm afraid but my sister has had 2 lovely daughters while I have been ttc and I thought I would be so gutted when I found out she was pg but I wasn't, I was just so pleased for her. I always thought I would have a baby first as I am 2 years older than her but it hasn't worked out like that. My nieces are so lovely that I could never be upset that she got there before me. Her first one was from taking clomid so maybe it's different as at the time neither of us knew if we would ever make it. I hope this helps a bit Lots of love Kat xx

Hi Angela I am a patient at Kings! I was referred to them in January of this year. It took about 6 weeks to get an appointment for more tests (they always do their own) and the first consultation was about 1 month later. They were very thorough and seem nice. Since that consultation I have been waiting to start my first ICSI cycle. I should have started in Aug but we had to be put back a month as one of their embryologists left. Anyway we finally started last Sunday, I have now had 1 week of injecting Buserelin and am due to go for a scan on 7th October. All being well I will start the stimulating drugs soon after. They have given me no idea yet as when we will reach the egg collecting stage, depends how things go I suppose. I have found them to be reaaly nice, and I have heard good things about Kings from others on this site. Let me know how you are progressing and GOOD LUCK Love and best wishes Lorraine G
