Thanks for your message, and no, sorry I missed your last post!<br>Things are going OK, had my scan Friday, like you I had 16 follicles, on each side there were three that were 20mm + have been told to expect 18 by EC. EC is Weds 9.30am, ET is on Friday pm!<br>I am excited and scared at the same time like you, though I will be glad to do the last jabs tonight. Last Gonal F was last night, last Buserelin and big Profasi is tonight. After that, we wait and see...<br>How are you finding things? Any side effects?<br>I have had (since Friday) strong pains in both ovaries. It is now so uncomfortable that I am off work today. Think I will not go back this week and as I am a teacher (HE) I am off next week as it is half term. hi there,good luck for tommorow,i also have painful ovaries mainly on a night no other side affects now though, i cant wait til tomorrow to see how many follicles i have and even so for friday, ill be taking it easy from then on.not going to do much at all,it will be hard though, im a house wife but im kept very bust with that and our 3 dogs.do you take anything other than folic acid. do you drink or smoke i dont drink much anyway im im really trying to not smoke but sometimes stress calls for a ciggy.ill keep you posted look forward to hearing from you.do you know why people on here say no baths just showers, no chocolate,plenty of water ect have you got any tips for me.

Well as to the tips i'm not sure that I am much use as this is my first ever cycle but from what I have read you should avoid/do the following:<br><br>Lots of water to reduce risk of OHSS (not sure how that works)<br><br>Low dose of daily aspirin (can help blood flow to uterus which will aid implantation)<br><br>Limited amounts of caffine (hense the no chocolate / no coffee, tea etc)<br><br>No hot baths (it is not good for the embryo's or for a developing baby to be subjected to high temperatures)<br><br>Smoking has been proven to lower success rates of IVF but I do not know much about this!<br><br>I don't drink much either but I have managed to stay off the booze completely since I started with the Buserelin<br><br>As for sex, I have read conflicting stuff on that but me and DH have decided that we will abstain for the 2ww just to be on the safe side. I have read of others on this site that have abstained for the whole pregnancy (can't see myself or DH lasting THAT long!!)<br><br>Like I say, I am an amature at this really, I am just repeating what I have read, however I do know that the overall consensus is to go with what feels right for you. I don't believe that you can do much to ensure your emmbies implant, just take it easy and try to be as normal as you can.<br>I will post as soon as I can tomorrow to let you know if/how many eggs we have managed to collect,<br>Hope this helps!<br><br>Love Lorraine<br><br>
