Looking into donor IVF for the first time

Post by sriche »

Hi all, I am new to this board. I'm 26 and have been diagnosed with premature menopause so need to consider DE. However I want to use my sister as a donor so wondered if anyone has experience with using a known donor? I come from Ireland where prices for DE are quite high so have been looking into clinics overseas eg the Ukraine. Anyone know anything about the ISIDA clinic in Kiev? All reviews I've read have seemed positive. If anyone has ideas or comments I'd love to hear from you!

Hello sriche,

I think that is wonderful that you want to use your sister's egg. I think that will help ease your worries and know that you are using someones' egg that is close to you and is related to you. I personally don't have any experience with using donor eggs but I do have a lot of experience with infertility and the emotional roller coaster you experience...! If I needed to use donor eggs I would absolutely use my sister's egg before I used anyone else. My sister and I are so very close and I know that would be the best thing for me. But, ultimately it is your decision and I just wanted to chime in and say I wish you the best of luck on your journey :)!
