I am planning to do an FET in January 2010. You will see my long ivf history from my profile.
One thing is that I have had alot of hair loss for the 6 months after the ivf cycle...and ince my miscarriage in June...it has been really bad this time.....I started out with thick hair before I started ivf and now it has really thinned.
I have been to doctor to check out thyroid etc...just wondering if anyone has experienced this and did you find any solution...I am taking selenium at the moment but it doesn't see to be making much difference.
Thanks.

I'm sorry about your m/c... I too had a lot of hair loss after my m/c..especially after the d&c.
I was told that after a m/c you can have symptoms similar to after giving birth...like hair loss. It lasted for quite a bit...like a few months for me and I was getting kind of scared, but it soon tapered off and now I'm back to my normal thick hair.

Hmmm... A pregnancy results in hCG production, hCG causes granulosa cells to produce testosterone, testosterone is associated with hair loss.
Just a thought.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
amysbabies - Sorry about your mc too .....hope you good now and wishing you all the very best with your journey. It is good to hear that it happens to someone else and tapers off eventually....
Ghost - soounds like it could be hormonal testosterone related. I might get my doctor to check that out. That you very much. Your help appreciated.
