How far along do you have to be before you can hear baby's heartbeat?

They usually show up close to 6 weeks gestation.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Hey--just so that you don't worry, sometimes it is a little later before the HB is detected and all can be well. I went at 5w6d and saw one sac and yolk measuring on time. Then at 6w5d we saw 2 sacs and 2 heartbeats! Best of luck to you!!!! And, congratulations!!

Skatie - that is really really early - are you counting the 2 weeks *before* the ER that officially count as your pregnancy? Since doctors start counting pregnancy from LMP (last menstrual period), you have to add 2 weeks to you ER date to get your LMP (for example, my ER was Feb 15... so my LMP was "Feb 1" and I'm 11w1d pregnant)
We saw 2 gestational sacs at 5w3d - and 2 heartbeats at 6w2d. Good luck!

Thank you for posting that link, since ov was on 4/1I, I found out IF we are pregnant ours would be due around New Year's Day, I know it's only wishful thinking but nothing wrong with a little hope.

I have always heard between 6 and 7 weeks. I am not sure what you mean by 3 weeks??? 3 weeks after transfer or after last period?

Thank you so much for the site. According to it I'm 6 weeks 0 days. I got 3 1/2 weeks based on the date of transfer. But, I still saw the heart beat today. It changes my due date from Dec 17 to Dec 14.

Hi ladies,
Sorry to gatecrash the board but I got a BFP yesterday from a FET!! This was mine and DH's 5th attempt at IVF. We had a 5 day blastocyst transfer.
The calculator is fantastic! My due date is 22 December 2011! and I am 4 weeks 6 days pregnant! Crazy stuff x
My first scan appt for the baby's heartbeat is on 12th May
