subchorionic hematoma

Post by annashope »

I had more dark brown spotting last night so RE wanted me to come in and we found out that I have a rather large subchorionic hematoma but the sac looked great and we even saw the yoke sac so the doc told me to take it easy and that he thinks we will see the heartbeat on Fri. I am so freaked out now. Please anybody have any experience with subchorionic hematomas I would greatly appreciate your stories.

Sorry about the hematoma and the scare. You knew you couldn't get away with this pregnancy being that easy. :D :D :D i don't have any experience but i have heard at least 50 stories of ladies having hematoma and baby being just fine. The bleeding can be scary. Hopefully yours will clear out soon . Good Luck and once again CONGRATS!!!

I had a SCH with my first son. It stopped bleeding at around 12-13 weeks gestation. Everything turned out fine. I have read that the earlier in pregnancy the SCH, the better the prognosis. You have every reason to hope it will be fine.

I had a subchorionic hemmorage around 7 weeks. Bled real bad, continued to spot for a long time. I had an increased chance of miscarriage but I had a blood clot on the placenta till 5 months. Baby is fine but very nerve wracking. Always tell your dr any increase in bleeding. If I had bled again my dr said I would of been on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy

Honey I had one with the twins. It was terrifying at several points with several very bad bleeding episodes during my pregnancy but eventually went away and obviously my LO's are fine! It is very scary though. I was advised to be on pelvic rest, drink lots of water and not to overdo it physically. Also, bedrest after RED bleeding episodes. Hopefully yours will resolve sooner than mine did--they often do. I will PM you....
