How important is a TRILAMINAR (triple line) lining???

Post by Kitty23 »

Hello!

My Dr. told me that my endometrium lining pattern is not looking trilaminar all the way through (triple line...like a oreo cookie...black white and black) while using the vaginal ultrasound. He said it was very important that it is trilaminar.

This seems to be my current issue as my embryos are great and lining is above an 8 in thickness...but I'm still having problems concieving.

Does anyone have any success stories about getting pregnant without a trilaminar pattern, have any knowledge about the importance of a trilaminar pattern, or know of any ways to make the pattern trilaminar? All thoughts are appreciated!

As far as I know it is important, however it isn't always visible on u/s. Mine isn't visible because my uterus is tilted. So we can only judge by thickness. I don't know how to make it trilaminar. Has your doc suggested any changes to your protocol or supplementation? Is the dr suggesting to cancel your cycle?

What drugs are you taking to build up your lining? I have heard that viagra suppositories can help. I haven't heard too many people have issues with the 3 strips, i don't know if all clinics look for that.

Hi Ladies, I recently switched clinics for my 6th transfer..(I'm in the 2WW)...but my old Dr. told me 1. he had done everything he can do for me and that he recommends a surrogate (hello heartbreaking...but was warming up to the idea). 2. he had cancelled 3 of my cycles because the lining was not getting above a 6.2 (using estrace vaginal suppositories, also trying estrace shots, and patches), 3. he also said that my uterus is not trilaminar anymore after 2.5 years of IVF treatments...I go to a new Dr. and he switched up my protocol...no estrace or patches...instead he used Viagra vaginal suppositories and IT WORKED...lining 8.2 ( you need above an 8) and he said my uterus is a bit differently shaped and that it's not all the way trilaminar..but there is an area that is and that's all he needs...one area to place the embryos. I'm just wondering how important the trilaminar is. Thanks for you thoughts! Baby Dust! Kitty
