Newbie Here from IL with a question... abt Insurance and FET

Post by tgdginIL »

I am a newbie here and thank the lord this site is here :D I love you all already; know your heart ache and joys and wish you all the best.
I underwent IVF in 2002( after TTC for 5 yrs) and had a miracle 3-23-03 . I had different insurance back then that covered most of it. I am now looking into bringing home one of her totsicles, FET.but I have new insurance,
Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL and was wondering if they cover FET's, and and if you don't mind indulging your FET. What is the protocol involved.
Thanks so very much in advance for your replies,
tgdginIL.

Hi!
I also have Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NJ. I am seeing a doctor that does not take my insurance; however, I do get reimbursed 80% after paying upfront. Blue Cross will pay for IVF four times in my lifetime. FET are also included in the plan. Just call the 800 number on the back of your card and they will tell you everything that they cover. They do make you do least expensive treatment first like IUI, but they do cover IVF. Good luck!
