I am hoping you might be able to help me. I have been sniffing for 3.5 weeks and at my scan last week my lining was a little too thick - so I went back in today and I have a follicle and am about to ovulate - so obviously the sniffing hasn't worked so treatment has been cancelled. This is my 3rd go and I shut down fine the last two times so I'm not sure (nor the doctors) why it hasn't worked this time. I will be injecting buserelin next time and they say this should work.
As you can imagine I am feeling disappointed - and worried that it won't work next time either. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

hi dolly,on my last cycle,i was injecting buserlin, and when i went for a scan my lining wasnt quite right and i also had a big follicle, iwas really worried as i thought they would cancel but they done a blood test and my hormones were fine so i carried on with treatment as normal.
maybe your situation is different to mine as the clinic know what there doing, dont worry about this happening next time you will worry for nothing, best of luck with your next treatment.
love loopy.
Hi Dolly
Poor you , I bet you had syked yourself up for this cycle and to be cancelled must be very gutting! I havent heard of this happening before so sorry I cant help.
Hi Dolly - I didn't have exactly the same experience as you, coz my clinic uses Lupron injections to shut you down, not the stuff alot of you guys sniff, and also I did eventually do what I was supposed to. but when I started this cycle, my 1st IVF, the injections took ages to shut me down - although I guess it was only an extra week or 10 days. but then it took ages to 'wake' my ovaries up again - again an extra week or so. They don't understand why, as I'd done 3 IUIs before and didn't have this problem. At least now I have the 'distinction' of having had the longest IVF cycle ever at my clinic what can I say? I guess everyone's different and we're all even different month to month. Who knows why?I guess it's all just part of this whole rollercoaster ride we're all on.
