Oh no, cough and cold!

Post by eacole »

Hi everyone,

Have got a cold and cough-nothing serious as of yet, but I can't get to the Doctor until tuesday. Can anyone recommend a UK cough syrup that I can take that of course will not harm the baby? I'd like to get things under as much control as possible, and besides, the coughing does make my belly ache!

Any advice at'all much appreciated.

All the best,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth

Poor you!! unfortunately i cannot think of anything to recommend cough syrup wise, but have you thought about ringing up Boots pharmacy and asking their advice (thats what they are there for), or, even better, sending DH???

Otherwise i would say PLENTY of Vit C, rest and hot water bottles - and then try to get out into the fresh air once in a while when u have a bit more energy. Juts a simpole walk around the block would even help, after all theres nothing better for killing off those germs than the cold air!!

take good care of yourself and keep us informed

love always,

Toni xx

I always call nhs direct or go to the web page if i cant get to my GP.

I am suffering a cold right now, feeling very sluggish.
