pregnancy symptoms

Post by Mia »

Who else is having pregnancy symptoms?

I am extremely tired, I have sore breast, I have to pee ALL the time, and I have just became very sensitive to smells which usually makes my stomach very queasy.

Is queasiness enough to count for morning sickness( feeling like I am about to throw-up) or do I have to be throwing up for it to count? Plus, the queasiness is usually in the evening not in the morning.

Oh and another question for you experts. When did you have to move into maternity clothes? I think we likely have twins! I am soooo excited for everyone to know!

Hi Mia

Morning sickness comes in many different guises - you can either have full blown sickness, or like me feel queasy all day long - eating being the only thing that made me feel more or less human. Some girls are very lucky and get no morning sickness at all, or very little. Each of us is very different.

I had to go into maternity trousers at 5/6 weeks as I was already getting a swollen belly.

Sore boobs, sensitivity to smells and frequent need for the loo are all very common signs - welcome to the first trimester of pregnancy :D

Hope you start feeling more relaxed after your first scan.

Hi Mia

Congratulations on your BFP!
Nausea/sickness really does seem to vary between different people. I have had nausea since I became pg and it became more so from 11 weeks!! I still have nausea every morning(!) as long as I eat as soon as I get up, im fine. Ive been sick only a handful of times. My nausea is only in the morning now. My mum says she only had it in the evenings!
My weight gain was very gradual. Probably started fully in maternity clothes from approx 16 weeks. Managed up until then in normal clothes which were big to begin with. Again, everyone seems to be different. You also might still be more swollen than usual due to the drugs you've been on.
I remember having days in the first trimester when I was very tired and also going to the loo a lot. That did stop in the 2nd trimester, but both have now started again, now Im nearly in the 3rd.
Enjoy your pregnancy!
