Anyone starting stims this weekend?

Looking for a cycle buddy.....
Anyone out there starting stims this weekend? My retrieval should be around Good Friday 3-14. I don't really want to go through it alone. DH does a great job of taking care of me, but I need someone who REALLY understands.

I start my stimulation medicine tomorrow morning! It sounds like we are on the same cycle. I am new to message boards, so I don't really know the protocol for replying to messages, so I hope this is all ok.

How did your 1st shot go? Mine went well. I watched the "how to" movie last night, and followed the instructons this morning. Wonder how long it will be before we start feeling the ovaries grow. I also had to do a Luperon injection.

Hi ladies, I started my stimming yesterday, if I do get some follies then I will be haveing EC on April 12th and ET on Good Friday. I too am wondering when I will notice any changes, as I am on maximum dosage and they don't seem to hopeful due to having a high FSH.

Let me start by saying I DON'T like shots. The Lupron has been a breeze, though, so I have been sooo thankful for that. My shot this morning was the menopur/bravelle mix, and it hurt. My husband was a medic in the military and he was known for being an excellent shot giver/blood draw-er, and he has done great with the Lupron. This new one, though, not so good. I am not blaming him though. The nurse at our injection class said that this one can hurt. For tonight's, I am going to use an ice pack first.

Ladies, did you put on any weight from the Luperon? I gained about 5 lbs. Can't wait to see what the stims bring. heehee..
Mitzy, you are just a day ahead. So let us know when and what you feel. What med are you stimming with? I am using Gonal F.
The3Lowes, great idea about icing. Sure cant hurt.

Hi miel, I am also on gonal f dosage 450, I hope the see some follies on that dosage!!! I am going for a scan on Tuesday so I have my fingers crossed. I don't know what to expect, and I don't know when and if I will notice any changes. They did say that by next Friday I would probably feel rather swollen, and I won't want anyone getting too close.

My scan is on Thursday. They told me not to be expecting much for the 1st one. Positive thoughts!!! My dose is 150 in the am and 150 in the evenings.... so total 300 I guess. Is this your first IVF? It makes you wonder why docs put you on different meds and doses.

This is my first IVF and I am on 450 Gonal F and 112 Buserelin both are injections in the evening.

Just to up date you, I noticed something happening on Monday, and really feel the swelling today, went for my scan today and I have 6 follies so far, and I have 1 on each side that are a good size 12mm. I hope there are more. I am wondering what I will feel like next week If I feel like this now!

Sounds great! I go this Thursday for a scan to see how my Bravelle/Menopur injections are going. I am not sure what to expect, but I am excited anyway! I have felt a little bit of a twinge and a little tenderness, so I hope something is happening.

Mitsy, Great to hear about your scan. Six Follies!! My scan is Thursday as well. But I have to say, I have been having burning sensations, but not as tender as yesterday. Actually today, I am barely feeling anything. I am kinda worried. My head has been aching and my back/ sciatica has been bothering me. Gotta get those negative thoughts out!!!! Good luck this week.
